Too boring compared to the movie. Too many useless details, incomprehensible scenes at times and the protagonist (who is also the narrator) is almost devoid of personality. I repeat, compared to the movie, I would not recommend the book to anyone.

Might be a little overrated, but I couldn’t stop reading, especially towards the end. The plot is interesting and I like how this book highlights how shallow and short-minded rich people can be sometimes. I also quite enjoyed the attention to detail, unlike most people, which is unusual for me since I don’t usually care for that in books.
If I may criticize something, though, is that I think Nick Carraway lacks personality, which isn’t even necessarily an issue, since he mostly serves as a narrator rather than an actual character.

I really enjoyed it. The rococo style felt like a perfect match for the ethereal world it describes. The characters act in ways that feel distant from today's norms, which adds the book charm and a surrealistic aura but also makes it harder to relate at times. At the end I did not get at all what was the relation between the main character and Gatsby, because at the first page it says he doesn't like him in the present, but at the end he talks about him like he has some sort of affection towards him, so I didn't get their relationship, but I loved the story.
