“Ye owe me one wish. I want ye tae continue what ye started last night.” “But ye’re tae be betrothed tae me brother…”Erin MacDougall is a warrior lass, and as such, she is not supposed to fall in love. Especially not with a master of seduction that she can barely stand. However, desperate times call for desperate measures, so when Erin is compelled to embrace her inner temptress to charm a laird for the sake of her clan… she reluctantly immerses herself in persuasion lessons with him.
And said master of seduction happens to be none other than the brother of her would-be betrothed.
Marcus MacLean has always been well aware of Erin's disdain for him, so he has kept his distance. However, witnessing her fruitless attempts to win his brother's affections compels him to intervene, and help her out of her misery. With a mastery in charming women into his bed, Marcus – being the gentleman he is – offers Erin lessons. Being as desperate as she is, Erin accepts.
But as their kisses begin to feel less like practice and more like a promise, Marcus realizes he’s in trouble…
Marcus knows one should never desire his brother’s lass. But when it’s too late and one is already in that deep, is there any chance of coming out unshattered? We didn’t think so either…
He was nothing more than a pawn in her game of seduction…

Fiona Faris is an American author of authentic historical Medieval & Scottish romance books. She started writing historical highlander romance after she visited the Scottish Highlands years ago with her husband.
Her books have received startling reviews about the humor, the darkness and the romance they have.
She lives in Dallas, Texas with her husband and their two sons. Before she started writing romance, she experienced the various occupations: translator, dog-training, and a substitute English teacher for the most part of her life... However, nothing could ever compare to writing stories depicting the majestic and mysterious Scottish Highlands!
This book is amazing! Fiona weaves another fantastic tale with the story of Erin and Marcus. Childhood friends, it all changes when she gets the best of him one night. As a warrior woman, she is determined to never be with a man that can’t face her and best her in combat. Years later, her father seeks an alliance to aid his clan against an enemy and they look to the MacLean clan. At first, Erin sets her sights on Marcus’s older brother and clan Laird, Darren. Before she can hope to woo him, she needs to learn how. Marcus will agree to teach her and it will start them on a journey that will be filled with bumps and bruises but it will lead to a happily ever after. They will have to deal with their growing feelings for each other, her clan’s enemy and a threat to her sister’s safety. But they will come out stronger and Marcus will get everything he never thought he wanted or needed but is glad to find he was wrong.
I read an ARC copy of this book and am volunteering my honest review.
I’ll start with the positives. I loved Marcus. The middle son of the MacClaen clan, a womanizer, a skilled warrior. Darren is his older brother and laird. I loved both their characters. Marcus has loved Erin MacDougall since they were teens but she was infatuated with his brother Darren. Erin is a warrior woman and needed Help from Marcus to know how to attract a man. I just couldn’t like Erin. She was arrogant, foolish, over confident, and quite annoying. I have trouble believing a “warrior woman” is strong enough to come out the victor repeatedly over men in battle who are much stronger and bigger than her. It is not realistic to me and not a concept I enjoy in a book. However, I still rated the book a 4 because I enjoyed the other characters.
Once again Fiona knocks it out of the park with this book! It has everything you could want in a Scottish romance, it has lovers, frenemies, adversaries, fighting and throw in a villain and you have a great and entertaining read!! When Marcus agrees to help Erin become a seductress so she can win the heart of his Brother Darren the Laird of the MacLean Clan little did he know that he would fall madly in love with her. Enter the villain, a feuding Laird with Erin’s clan, kidnapps Erin’s sister and holds her ransom in exchange for Erin herself. Who will Erin end up with? Get this book to find out as the plot twists and turns through an exciting array of characters. Cherie
A captivating Scottish romance between a headstrong warrior trained lass and a gorgeous, hunky well known womanizer with a secret crush. Will keep you entertained with engaging characters and sparkling banter between a confident, sassy warrior lass with zero seduction skills and the skilled brother of the laird she seeks to seduce. Throw in a devious rival laird with unscrupulous actions who is trying to steal said lass and thusly her entire clan and sit back and watch the fireworks. 🙂
I enjoyed this book but I thought it went over board on the sex. I like scenes where there’s some but I speed read through some of the scenes. It was still a good story.
This was a great book. Shows the powers of a woman. I loved every moment of the story. It kept my interest the entire book. I just wish it didn't end the way it did. Kind of up in the air but I guess that is for the next in the series.
This story was very boring for the 1st 14 chapters, but I’m glad I decided to finish reading it to the end. But in the end this was well written with enough suspence and love seems to make up for the beginning, plus I’m always grateful for finding a true love match leading to happily ever after.
Erin MacDougall has her eye on Laird Darren MacLean but things take a wild turn when his brother Marcus agrees to help her win his heart. Fate has a different direction when Erin falls for Marcus instead. Will she end up with her Laird or his younger brother Marcus? An exciting story till the end!

Friend or foe, a pair of friends who are unsure of a lot of things. If you don’t read this great book then you have lost out on a read that will take your mind off of the troubles that plague you. It captures you and takes you back in time. Steamy and amazing.
Another wonderful tale in this charming series. Marcus and Erin’s story is well written and held my interest from start to finish. I am really loving this series.
After attempting to become a lady instead of a warrior, Erin asks Marcus to help her out. That in itself is funny but the whole will make your temperature rise.
