About the author

Masashi Kishimoto (岸本斉史 Kishimoto Masashi) is a Japanese manga artist, well known for creating the manga series Naruto. His younger twin brother, Seishi Kishimoto, is also a manga artist and creator of the manga series O-Parts Hunter (666 Satan) and Blazer Drive. Two of his former assistants, Osamu Kajisa (Tattoo Hearts) and Yuuichi Itakura (Hand's), have also gone on to moderate success following their work on Naruto.

Kishimoto's first work as a manga artist was Karakuri (カラクリ?), which he submitted to Shueisha in 1995. This earned him the Weekly Shōnen Jump's monthly "Hop Step Award" in 1996, granted to promising new manga artists. This was followed in 1997 by a pilot version of Naruto (NARUTO－ナルト－), published in Akamaru Jump Summer. In 1998, Kishimoto premiered as a Weekly Shōnen Jump artist with a serialized version of Karakuri in Weekly Shōnen Jump, but it proved unpopular and was canceled soon after. In 1999, a serialized version of Naruto began publication in Weekly Shōnen Jump and quickly became a hit.

Qué decir del examen de chunin, gracias HxH por darle la idea a Kishimoto y mejorarla. El momento "Sakura, quién te ha hecho esto" buffff absoluto cinema.

Está edición es la mejor si quieres leer Naruto por primera vez en formato físico. El inicio de los exámenes es emocionante ya que es la primera vez que aparecen personajes icónicos de esta historia.
Pese a que soy bastante fan de Naruto, sigo viendo defectos en sus historias, como la nula participación activa en la historia de mujeres o que la mayoría de las que hay simplemente no evolucionan más allá de falsas promesas. Siempre he pensado que Kishimoto es un gran autor que simplemente no sabía escribir personajes femeninos.

Auch der zweite Grossband kann wieder überzeugen. Unsere drei Kameraden aus Team 7 lernen wir noch weiter kennen und dann werden natürlich neue Charaktere vorgestellt.

Wir begleiten unsere drei Kameraden aus Team 7 an die ersten zwei Teile ihrer Chu-Nin Prüfung, für die sie Kakashi angemeldet hat.
Vielleicht zu früh? Denn beim Anblick der Mitstreiter und deren Fähigkeiten fragt man sich, wie unsere drei 'Küken' da mithalten wollen - vor allem Naruto und Sakura.

Dennoch bietet dieser Strang mit der Prüfung, der angehende Ninjas über die Landesgrenze aus nach Konoha holt, eine super Bühne, um neue Charaktere kennenzulernen - und was für Charaktere da dabei sind.
Dieser Gaara ist mir definitiv unheimlich, Temari und Kankuro mehr als unsympathisch und dass sich da diese eine Person in die Prüfung einschleichen konnte (möchte keine Spoiler geben), ist schon crazy. Man möchte meinen, dass Konoha da evt. etwas sicherer Möglichkeiten hat, um die Identitäten zu prüfen. Aber vielleicht ist das auch Wunschdenken.

Jedenfalls bin ich gespannt, welche Beziehungen geknüpft werden und ob es noch weitere Allianzen gibt (bin noch nicht ganz über Kabuto hinweg) - und natürlich, wie es mit Sasuke weitergeht.

Cada vez que leo Naruto recuerdo no sólo lo épico que fue sino el impacto que tuvo durante mi adolescencia. Puede que lo retire más adelante pero no creo que vaya a poner menos de 4 estrellas a los mangas.
