While I really like the idea of dragon shifters and the whole fantasy realm, I found this story to be incomplete and disjointed. It moved very fast which isn’t a bad thing in the least but it did so at the expense of description, continuity and character building. Explanations of the action/scenes were thin and could have been greatly expanded. As an example, in the first few chapters, there is no proper description as to what is happening with the passage of time, a very important aspect of the story and the reader is left slightly confused and trying to figure out what is going on. The characters could have been more fully fleshed out and there was a lack of world-building. I found this to be quite disconcerting and almost didn’t finish the book. However, I persevered and finished the story because despite these issues, I wanted to see what transpired. I would highly encourage the writer to expand and improve her writing skills because the basics of a good imagination is there but the execution isn’t up to par. On the positive side, the story outline is entertaining and inventive and I give the author high marks for the concept.
