Five stars simply aren't enough to express my admiration for this extraordinary novel!
This book really fascinated me as the main character had ‘face blindness’ meaning that they can’t recognise people’s faces.
The storyline was interesting and the writer had a fluent and engaging writing style. It was a lovely story. I’ll be checking out more of Jenny Rabe’s fiction!
Super sweet romance about a girl with prosopagnosia or face blindness and how she operates in the world without recognizing faces. She owns a tea shop and meets a man who comes into her shop. It was very sweet watching him learn about her prosopagnosia and do everything he could to make her feel comfortable and loved since some of her closest people had not even taken the same care with her until this point.
Chloe who lives with face blindness goes through the struggles not many people deal with. She can't recognize people by faces, just their features and the sounds of their voices. This causes her a lot of trouble with crowds, her parents and her relationships. When she meets Miller, she's willing to try her and date despite all the issues she has had in the past. Miller, the absolute sweetheart he is learns all he can about her disability and does anything he can for her to feel comfortable. Just because he wants nothing more than for her to love him.
This book has such a cute love story and a ton of humor. All the characters you meet in the story has personalities and traits you feel in love with. It was such a nice, easy and light read, making you smile with the love felt in the story. I am absolutely looking forward to reading the next book of this series and other book series by this author.
This was my first and certainly not only Jenny Rabe book. In this book we meet Chloe who navigates through her life feeling the effects of being neurodiverse. Miller, the male main character is the sweetest kindest most gentle man I have read about in a long time! I highly recommend you check out this book!
Learned about a condition I didn’t know existed. Face Blindness. Loved Miller and how patient and understanding he was with Chloe. How he stood up for her. Read this. It’s so good. 🥰🥰
4 Stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ This book is so beautifully written. This is the 1st book in Jenny Rabe’s “Love Senses” collection
In this book, Jenny is bringing awareness to Prosopagnosia, also known as face blindness - It’s a condition that makes it difficult for people to recognize faces. It can be caused by brain injuries to the occipital or temporal regions, or can be something a person is born with.
The MFC, Chloe, struggles with Prosopagnosia and everyday life comes with its challenges. Growing up, Chloe’s mother was constantly reminding & berating Chloe with blatant remarks and underhand comments her entire life.
Chloe did her best to remove herself from the toxic environment in which she was raised by opening a tea shop and finding an apartment of her own. Chloe, along with her dog Banjo, live a pretty secluded life outside of her tea shop.
MMC Miller works in a shop down the street building shelves and countertops. He finally decided to stop in at Tea for Two, Chloe’s tea shop, and finds himself instantly mesmerized and nervous around Chloe. Miller is so drawn to her that he quickly wants to learn everything he can about her.
This book navigates the life of person diagnosed with Prosopagnosia. It draws you into the life and experiences that typically come with living a life being face blind.
Not knowing who walks through the door or interacting with a person you meet on the street, Chloe is constantly feeling herself being on-edge and quickly looking for signs or listening to voices to try and figure out if she knows the person in front of her. Miller is trying his best to both understand and be vigilant about her condition and wants nothing more than to make her feel safe in this world.
The sidekicks in this novel are just as special and important as the MC’s themselves:
One of her regular customers, Jackie, becomes one of the closest friends Chloe has ever known. Jackie’s husband suffers from Alzheimer’s and she looks at Tea for Two as place of relaxation from her everyday life of caring for her husband. Jackie truly comes in clutch and helps Chloe through some pretty difficult transitions and showing her more support than either of her parents ever did.
Grandpappy is Millers grandfather and he is the stories comic relief and totally loveable. He keeps Miller on his toes and keeps him accountable in the funniest (and most sarcastic) way.
Beautifully written and executed with a sweet innocent romance that will make your heart happy 💞

This book is mainly about a woman named Chloe who is a tea shop owner and she is diagnosed with a rare Neurodivergent illness that causes face blindness. Which makes it impossible for her to recognize a person’s face.
Despite her illness, there is a strong love interest between herself and Miller. Miller enjoys Chloe’s company and finds her to be independent, and very intelligent, and very attractive.
One question I had throughout the story was, wondering if Chloe realizes what type of beauty she possesses since she cannot recognize faces?
One day a man named Miller stopped by her tea shop for tea and something to eat, though her sandwiches are bite sized for a man his size he stood around and was one of the last customers there.
One thing led to another and Miller spilled tea on her couch! This irritated Chloe a bit, but she quickly learned that Miller was just clumsy.
He offered to buy her a new couch, he insisted but Chloe declined the offer in a gentle gesture.
Slowly but surely, Miller becomes a strong love interest for Chloe. Things take off smoothly, she ends up telling Miller about her illness. Though she was afraid to die to feeling rejected and outcasted. She was brave enough to tell him, and Miller was very accepting of it. He was even more interested if anything!
If you want to know what happens next with Chloe and Miller, then I highly recommend you purchase this book!
Jenny Rabe is a fantastic author! Her words flow beautifully and it’s a good, age-appropriate, clean, romance!

This was very sweet romance...oh wait. I wouldn't call this a romance. It is lacking in emotional depth between the two characters. I'm not saying I needed angst. I'm saying they needed more time together .I felt like I wasn't giving enough time to know them as a couple. They spent too much time apart. Also, Miller, MMC, did not feel like a good enough hero. He have a lot of hangups and is a pushover. I do believe in his genuine feelings for Chloe, FMC. As for Chloe, she also lacks a sense of strength. I question her genuine feelings for Miller since she spent so much not being around him. I understand she can't recognize him but why is it only towards the end of the book does she tell Miller she has six siblings. Heck, the way the author basically set it up like she was an only child. Also, Chloe isn't a good dog owner since she spent so little time with her dog.
Now that the ugly is out of the way, here is why it is 3.0 not 2.5. I enjoy the atmosphere of this book. I thought the author did a nice job setting up the tea shop. I enjoy several side characters. And I think I liked Chloe and Miller separately than I did as a couple. And I do appreciate the author bringing awareness to a neurodivergent trait.
Final thoughts are the book needed more editing and more to length in order to develop the relationship. but there was also some good parts to it.

This book was amazing! Def an eye opener, I had no idea face blindness was even a thing, until I read this book. This story follows Chloe, having suffered with face blindness her whole life and over coming many obstacles to learn to cope and deal with her neurodivergent disorder, she runs her own very successful tea shop. She’s never really dated too many people because of the disorder, but something about Miller, just catches her heart. Then she leaves for Japan for 6 months to further her business and career. Will Chloe and Miller’s relationship be able to survive this long away from each other? Read the book and find out! I cried, laughed and all the emotions while reading this book! It’s such a good wholesome read and you learn so much about the issues Chloe faces, that is an actual issues in real life for a lot of people! 10/10 recommend anyone to read!!

As I read each of her books, they become my favorite Jenny Rabe book! In Seeing His Face, I fell in love with the FMC, Chloe, and the MMC, Miller! When an author can literally make a reader see and hear the characters and the setting, one finds oneself living in their world. I find myself sitting in Chloe's tea shop, reading a book, drinking tea or coffee. Maybe I'll have a book club meet there! The neurodivergent aspect of the book, prosopagnosia, also known as face blindness, is fascinating. This is book 1 of her neurodivergent romance series. People with these diagnoses deserve love stories! I'm so glad the author is shining a positive light on differences. This book is worthy of so much more attention than it is getting. If you are reading this, and considering reading it, consider no longer. Just buy it and read it. You'll fall in love like I did.
This is a very interesting story about a woman who experiences face blindness and her journey of falling in love.
I thought these characters were all very well-rounded AND there was a lovable grandfather (this adds a whole point just by itself!). I thought our main characters could have had more time together, or possibly just more shown communication. I loved that both of our characters got to explore what they needed and wanted out of life... I just also wasn't necessarily attached to their love as much as I was attached to them as individuals.
In Conclusion: This was a very quick read that put you in the shoes of someone living with face blindness and gave me more than a few chuckles. Also, there's a dog!
Chloe and Miller are great main characters in Seeing His Face. I found them to be likeable and fascinating, especially Chloe with her face-blindness. I loved that Miller wanted to know all about it and how to make her more comfortable. I did get frustrated with them for taking so long to admit their feelings to each other, but it made the book more engaging. I was happy when they got their HEA. There's a touching epilogue that finishes the book off nicely. I definitely want to read the second book in The Love Senses. I have enjoyed many of author Jenny Rabe's books. I got my copy through KU.
This was the warmth I needed on these rainny couple of days. Seeing his face was a beautfully writen story and it truely lives up to its genre Sweet romance. This is a clean romance so In my opinion this book is fine for all ages. In fact I'd go futher and say this is a wonderful exsample of what love should be. *spoiler ahead* Chloe's condition isn't "cured" and can't be but this story shows a lovely exsample of loving someone regaurdless of thier diffrences. Grandpappy's humor is a welcome break from the pinning love story I enjoyed the warmth and sweetness this read brought. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a realistic tale of love, anxiety and devotion.

This is a sweet and tender story of someone who doesn't feel like they can be loved!
The MC has face blindness. An interesting condition where she can't see people's faces. The author has done good job of bringing awareness to this type of condition with ease and even respect.
She presents the character just a normal person with a few tweaks!! Just like the rest of us!
Her story is wrapped in a clean, endearing story of her finding the one, the one that will see past her condition to "see" her!!
This is a short story, just under 200 pgs. But an enjoyable one!!
I started this book and had hoped to finish it quickly. It took me longer to read because I had library books to finish first.
I really enjoyed this story of a Chloe and Miller. Chloe does not recognize faces. So when she meets someone for the first time she looks for distinguishing things about the person, such as eye color, hair style or color, piercings etc.
Chloe owns a tea shop and loves what she does. When Miller walks in they first meet the interaction is sweet.
This is a great light read. I enjoy romance both with spice and without. This is one without and it was so enjoyable. I was rooting for Chloe and Miller the whole time.
This book was just right. Sensitive to those with face blindness, aware of the problems with relationships including family, friends, and romantic, and powerful in showing that these all can improve on both sides with education and effort. Clean romance, sweet story and set up, interesting developments in character in both the heroine and the hero. Nothing happens too fast or too slow, and it kept me reading til the end. Highly recommend. Definitely a keeper.
This is sweet romance and a great read. It’s a neurodiverse romance, the main character has prosopagnosia. The author did an expert job of weaving a heartwarming story around the condition and explaining it in a way that educates the reader about the condition without it feeling like a classroom lesson. The story delves into the ways the character uses different clues to remind herself who people are since she can’t recognize faces. It’s very enjoyable and such a creative, cute story.
Loved every minute of this clean romance book! Such a fun and unique twist to have a neurodiverse character in the book who has prosopagnosia (face blind) yet falls in love not being able to recognize her lovers face. Very unique and enjoyable! I feel like I learned more about those with prosopagnosia at the same time. Can't wait for the rest of the Love Senses collection! If you haven't read anything from Jenny Rabe you have to go find her many books and read them! LOVE love love Jenny Rabe!
I didn't even know the main characters disability even existed before reading this book. It was beautifully written and lets you witness the daily struggles of someone one with face blindness and how she used accommodations to help her navigate the world around her. This book also showed you that love knows no disability and will find a way. If you love clean hallmark style romance, the Jenny is your girl. This was my first exposure to this author, and I can't wait to read more.
This is a sweet little romance following a girl who can’t recognise faces, as she falls for the boy in her tea shop. The two complain bitterly about their snail paced romance while it simultaneously tried to give me whiplash with its acceleration. But despite that it was an adorable read and kept me turning the pages. Enjoy this book with an aromatic cup of tea, a soft rain and a blanket to snuggle!
This was such a sweet book, that had me smiling throughout. Jenny did a wonderful job writing this story and bringing awareness about face blindness, I can’t remember the medical term for it. I enjoyed getting to know Miller and Chloe, as well as Grandpappy and Ginger! Jackie was also a great addition to this book and really helped add to the story line, I enjoyed seeing how her friendship with Chloe grew during her time of grief.
While this book is short it is packed with a bunch of sweetness. This was wholesome and super cute and romantic to me. The female main character is face blind and through the story you come to see how she navigates her life, what it means for her running her business and how her dating life has been affected by it. Her family dynamic also has its strains. It’s beautiful to see how she gains independence and finds the right support from others. I loved it from start to finish.
I am not the normal romance reader but after hearing about the concept to this book I decided to give it a read. I was most definitely satisfied with the outcome. The story here is unique and, as far as I'm concerned, it was a good first first read of the year.
If it says anything, I ordered the second book before I finished the first one.
If you like romance, or if you're considering the genre, this is a good book, period.
This read was amazing. I was not even aware this condition existed. To have an understanding from two different sides of this diagnoses just made the book. The story flowed so well. I struggled to put the book down. I loved the compassion and understanding written into it. More than just the main characters were a part of the story. It was literally like reading someone's life as it plays out. I'm going onto the next book!
this story was so cute. chloe has prosopagnosia which means she doesnt recognize faces, not even those close to her like parents, siblings, friends or herself. she owns a small tea/coffee Shop where she meets People and remembers different things about them since she wont know their faces. she metes meets Miller and Jackie along her Journey and without spoilers the story is so sweet and romantic. this is book one in Neurodiverse romance series.
