Nevin has spent too much time on the internet researching the Paul Homolka murders that took place in the early 90's. Now he has convinced his boyfriend, Mike, to come with him on a surprise road trip to the pig farm where Paul Homolka killed four people, including his girlfriend and little sister, Mary-Ann. What Nevin doesn't know, is that the pig farm is harboring more than a few dark secrets. A deranged, pain worshiping cult has taken up arms on the property, and they are eagerly atticipating Nevin's arrival.
I was super hyped to learn that there was a part 3 to this series. It was a good read, won’t say it was my favorite though. The ending really had a twist in it though. Can’t wait to see what’s to come next!!!
Nevin is taking his friend Mike to the pig farm where Paul killed multiple people. The woman he talked to online said she would show them around, what he didn’t know was she is in a pain worshipping cult that inhabits it now. They have to try to escape before Paul gets loose! This one took so many different turns, these just keep getting better!
To be continued, that is the best news ever!!! I do not want this story to end… I love the direction it has taken too. I think Stuart Bray has one of the most brilliant minds and I hope he never tires of telling us stories!!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I would say out of all the VOTM books this is the less gory & violent one .. don’t get me wrong there’s some fkd up moments in this one but there’s more depth of story which I fkin loved. I’m sure the characters in this book aren’t happy Paul is back but I am 😂 Don’t want to give to much away but the plot twist, and ending had me jaw fallen and holy shit I can’t wait for book 5! Another masterpiece from Bray! 👏🏻
This book let alone series has got me so far down a rabbit hole I don’t think I can get out of it! Thank you for that Stuart!!! Let’s all take an epic adventure into the life of Paul and the depravity he has! The women from the family are wildly unhinged and extreme. The ending however has me in a chokehold like nothing else! I’m shook and now see why it’s the author's favorite!
This was brutal and genius. I loved the more in depth writing about that time at the cabin and what a twist I never expected it. I read the book in one day. I couldn’t put it down. Definitely a must for extreme horror readers
I don't even know anymore how the author comes up with these stories. All I know is that I don't want them to end. In this latest installment, we're treated to two new characters, Nevin and Mike, a gay couple. Nevin has been obsessively researching the Paul Homolka murders that took place in the 90s, and he's planned a trek to the pig farm where the massacres happened. Nevin has no idea about the new dwellers inhabiting the pig farm, but he's about to become acquainted with pain.
The thing that rings so true about these books is the utter contempt and loathing of humanity that's exhibited by the MC. The hatred is so fierce, it's almost tangible. You're not going to get a deep dive into the human psyche to explain anything, but you are going to get some of the most reprehensible acts of violence to ever grace the page.
This one is out now in paperback and KU. Mind your trigger warnings.
I was peer-pressured into reading this book by my good friend J, and let me tell you, it was soooo good. I thought this would be the final installment for "Violence on the Meek," but boy was I wrong. Now, I have to wait for number 5 to make its appearance!
I can't say too much about this book without giving anything away, but basically, Nevin goes to the pig farm where Paul had some fun and ends up finding a surprise there. The writing and continuation of the story are excellent, and I literally devoured it in one sitting. I have my suspicions about who will come out as top dog, but I’ll keep those to myself.
I particularly loved the Luna mask—it made me giggle a little. As I have mentioned before, Stuart is a character unto his own, and his writing has a way of making you question your sanity.
Give the series a chance or don’t. I, however, devoured the book.
Yours in madness, E
P.S. I am not your mother. Google exists for a reason—do your own research before diving into these books.
2.5⭐️ Desperately wanted to like this more than I did. Concept is good, and had a lot of unexpected twists. But I could not get over some of the grammatical errors. Made the story look rushed.
Stuart Bray does a great job at writing highly unlikeable characters, and I mean that in the best way possible. I don’t find myself really rooting for anyone, and hope they all meet their demise in some fucked up, gnarly way (which most have).
I think I’ll still be picking up the next one, just because I’m too invested in the characters.
Holy crap!!!!!!! THIS WAS INSANELY GOOD! I could not put it down. There were parts where I was literally laughing out loud and parts that had me SCREAMING!! The ending shocked me. I was shookith. I was not expecting that. If for some crazy reason, you didn't hate Paul before, buckle up cupcakes and prepare to LOATHE him! This one is wild and vile. Just like I like em!
Nooo! I don't want a cliffhanger... I want answers now! Lol! In all honesty, this is probably my favorite of the four books! I just love how it coincides with the first book and keeps it continuing! It was absolutely gruesome, and I loved it! I know that this one just came out, but I am so ready for book five!!! Highly recommend this series, although book three is the least appealing of them all!
Stuart ups the ante in the fourth installment of this FUBAR series. This should only be read by die hard genre fans otherwise you’d need lots and lots of therapy or probably bleach in your eyeballs. There is a reason Stuart is in my top five GOAT modern extreme horror writers because he literally gives no fucks and will write the sickest shit you will ever read!
Omg. I need to know what Paul does !! I didn’t find this to be to as extreme with the gore as I found others , maybe I’ve read to many and became desensitized to it lol. I loved Paul and his inhuman nature, and I must find out what happens to them. And sheriff Rhea? Twist !!! Job well done Mr Bray , and Mr nickey. On to the next depraved story !! 🤣😂
There was no way I could give this any less than 5 stars. I absolutely loved every book in this series but this one takes the cake for me. It's intense, it's brutal, it's funny and it will have you questioning your own sanity while you follow along and end up rooting for Paul. Stuart Bray is a master of the splatterpunk genre so now I'm on to read everything else he has written!
Another 5 star read from Stuart Bray. Violence on the Meek has to be one of my favorites of his, although I enjoy everything of his I’ve read so far. This one is full of brutal, gory scenes and a killer story. We see people return from prior stories as well. Can’t wait for the next installment!
