This is not the greatest writing but I read it when it first came out after Columbine and I have returned to it a number of times in the light of other tragedies and found good reminders within. I needed these reminders this week. (I did have to laugh this time through about what he had to say about Donald Trump back in 2000.)
This is a book from one of my favorite authors and once again he writes with flair and soul. He inspires everyone to go out and make a difference in this crazy world of ours. He explains how the death of someone close to him changed his life (Richard Mullins) and how he has to make this or at least try to make this a better world for the children. He talks about Cassy Bernall and the shooting at Columbine; he lets you know that the bagpipes at the end of the memorial song for Cassy Bernall (This Is Your Life) had bagpipes and why. Oh so much more, this book is on fire so have the fire department on speed dial-LOL
Kinda like reading his personal journal. Some interesting experiences but not clear what the point of the book is. At the same time I felt like I learned something about my own relationship God. So that makes it worth it.
Michael W. wrote this book after his involvement with the Columbine disaster and being asked to sing at the memorial service. The title comes from the song he wrote for the situation and memorial and is excellent for anyone who might be grieving or for those wondering why bad things happen.
