Snapped: The Chelsea Choker

Rate this book
“You’re looking at it all wrong, Max. We aren’t going to kill anyone. We’ll set them free.” Nash told his young protégé, a kid no more than twenty. And thus, the grooming began, sending Max down a path of murder.

Desperate for love, Max Hoyt will do whatever it takes to please the southern gentleman, Nash, and his desire for revenge. But Max doesn’t know that Nash’s plans to set souls free come with a secret and a price.

Detective Hunter Finnegan is hot on the trail of Max, aka The Chelsea Choker, the murderer strangling women along the piers in New York City. To catch The Choker, Hunter turns to his friend and former colleague, Cameron Cooper, for insight into the mind of a killer. The easy part is getting her to agree to help. The hard...she's a patient at a hospital for the criminally insane.

Hunter and Cameron devise a plan to stop a serial killer, but it unexpectedly leads to Cameron coming face to face with Max. When she awakes one morning to find the calling card of The Choker strewn across her bed, Cameron realizes she’s in mortal danger.

The traumatic past Cameron desperately wants to leave behind is closing in on her. Has she discovered too late that she’s playing a game with two serial killers? Or will one killer turn on the other?

This book kept me so on edge that I picked it up every chance I got! So well crafted that the smallest details matter. The writing change from first to third person in one character was new, exciting, and very well timed. Incredible follow up to Fractured, recommending to anyone who will listen!👏🏼👏🏼
