Scarlette Roots has been taking care of her family for the past two years, putting her own dreams and ambitions on hold. No more. After battling severe anxiety for years, she finally feels ready to do what must be done. She packs her bags and moves to a small town where she can afford tuition for her dream degree: engineering. Scarlette wants to become a Formula One race engineer, and she's finally taking steps forward, except... she doesn't know anyone in F1. And that's where he comes in.
Julián "Storm" Alvarez is the town grump. A smile from him is unseen. After his girlfriend cheated on him, he's been keeping his distance from women and any vulnerability feelings bring. Until he meets Scarlette. The two of them are instantly attracted to each other, but they're opposites, which leads to chaos. She's sunshine, he's a storm. She's light, he's dark. She's the smile, and he's the frown.
Scarlette flips the aspiring MotoGP racer's world on its head, especially when he finds out she works for his father's company. A company he hates more than anything else in the world. However, his father's money and influence are the only things Scarlette needs to get connections in Formula One and reach her dream. So when his father offers her a trip to Monaco's Grand Prix weekend because he assumes she's his son's girlfriend, Scarlette goes along with it. An unlikely fake-dating situation is created, one that Storm can't pass up because he's been developing feelings for Scarlette.
The question is, can two people as opposite as rainbows and darkness ever make it work?
"The rest of the world disappears into a blur as I find harmony in the speed of this heavy machine in my grasp, under my complete control."
This is a two POV book, told by the POV´s of Scarlette and Julián.
I kind of liked Scarlette´s character, but I wished the author would have shown a bit more of her background. Trope wise Scarlette and Julián are the typical grumpy and sunshine, with him being the grump and her being the sunshine. To me it felt almost a little stereotypical at times. But if you like that trope and also like the "soft only for her", this might be for you.
Regarding side characters, I liked Scarlette´s friends she made in the beginning, but those friends sadly got mentioned less and less over the span of this book when I would have loved to know more about them. I liked Julián´s best friend. They were so cute living together and he was always there for him. Kind of felt like he kept him grounded.
Like mentioned above, one of the tropes is grumpy x sunshine, the other one, which I am not the biggest fan of is insta love. They literally fall in love at first sight, which made the rest of the book (as a slow burn lover) feel a bit slow and tendious at moments. The pacing is fine, some slow moments for me due the the chosen trope of the book. You will find some spicy scenes in here, although I have to say I wasn´t the biggest fan of the pet name "mami". I´m still on the fence on how to feel about it. On an F1 scale, I would say this one isn´t THAT much F1. It acts more like a "side plot" where they attend one race (the Monaco Grand Prix) together. If you are a fan of motor sport in general, that is still highly present in this book as the MMC is trying to make it as an MotoGP driver.
Overall it was an okay book, but nothing special in my opinion.
this book was so cute and I enjoyed it so much. this book had me giggling and kicking my feet (like there’s so many cute scenes, this book killed me) because oh julián OH MY GOD JULIÁN 🧎, raised my standards. the only thing I didn’t really like was how insta lovey this book felt but other than that I loved this book. definitely one of my favorite reads of the month and it’s definitely in my top book so far for the year. this one just hit the right spot for me at this moment. If you love romance, a male main character who’s obsessed with the fmc, love motorsport/formula one id definitely recommend this one to you. a big thank you to bridget for sending me a signed copy of this book (+ rush) ily. Bridget also has another book, jump-start, coming out on June 1st! it’s available for preorder on amazon for kindle, if you’re into f1 and romance definitely add it to your tbr!
I was so lucky and grateful to receive an ARC of this book. This book follows Storm who is an aspiring MotoGP racer and Scarlette who wants to be an f1 engineer. I was absolutely absorbed by this book, I couldn’t stop reading i kept telling myself one more chapter and 1 become 5. Bridget really does know how to pull you into a book and this book had a fake dating trope which I love. The writing is incredible and flows so naturally that you can picture yourself right there with the characters. The characters wow, Scarlette was such a strong character and I loved that Bridget incorporated real every day struggles, the emotion of seeing scarlette struggle with her anxiety was incredible and how she overcomes it. Julián wow what a man all I can picture is him in leathers 🥵 this man really knows how to bring a woman to their knees, even though he’s gone through a lot he still is willing to open up his heart and show emotion. I loved seeing where Julián and Scarlette’s story went and how snippets were included! The only thing I would have like to see more of is Julián’s Racing Career but this book was just flawless. The acknowledgment at the end of this book had me in tears, I love you so much Bridget.
Rating this book is a really hard task for me because at times i felt like giving it 4 stars but there were a lot of things that didn’t work out for me in this story. It had great potential but sadly I felt like the writing was too “childish” and that the author didn’t have much experience in a lot of things in here and therefore a lot of the descriptions of the scenes didn’t work for me… especially the more steamy scenes… I really loved the general idea and the anxiety part was very well represented but everything else unfortunately didn’t captivate me… so it’s 3 ⭐️ from me I really did feel like the writing was lacking something as well.
Mil Gracias to Bridget for sending me an ARC for this book ✨🫶🏻
5⭐️/2🌶️ Enemies to lovers Fake dating Formula One MotoGP
We have two main characters involved in different aspects of Motorsports. Scarlett is ready to become an F1 engineer and Storm is about to achieve his dreams of becoming a MotoGP racer!
The book is an extreme cute story that also deals with super important topics like the passing of relatives and anxiety attacks, showing how both main characters overcome their struggles in beautiful journey’s.
Big shout out to the MMC because he is the moment and he will be your next bookboyfriends! He was simply incredible, rumor has it he has a back injury from carrying the weight of the book on his back 🫢 no but seriously, he was simply flawless, they way he helped Scar overcome he struggles and insecurities was just heartwarming.
“Something as beautiful as your scar deserves to be worshipped. Do you understand me?”
This book was so good I couldn’t put it down. It was such an easy read and I enjoyed it a lot. There were some parts I didn’t like but everything else was good. I loved the mental representation. The spice was written very well. Juliàn’s mouth man oh man. Didn’t expect to like when he called Scar mami all the time. I loved it way too much. I liked how slow their relationship became and enjoyed every moment. I loved Scar and I’m glad Juliàn was able to reassure her when she needed. They are perfect for eachother.
This book, I have no words. The characters sucked me in from the first page, I was intrigued and attached all the way through. The writing was magical and perfect, the characters kept me on my toes the whole time. Julian Julian, I have no words to describe my love for this man. He is right up there in my top book boyfriends list, fighting Gabe and James (from one fo the author's other books, Rush) for the top spot. The nicknames he has for her, the way he was so down bad for her and only denied it for a little bit, the way he got her lilac lotion for her anxiety, I need a Julian in my life. I related to Scarlette on a whole other level and seeing how well Julian takes care of her and how much she loves him and is therr for him just made my heart so warm😩😩😻 Also the cameos from the other books was so well done and very appreciated If anyone ever takes a recommendation from me, let it be this book please😩😩❤️❤️ Release date April 4th and I cannot wait to have my hands on the physical copy😩😩 I received an arc from the lovely author in exchange for a review, however my reviews will always be honest
The dialogue was almost painful to read; truly, no one actually speaks the way she wrote. And while I’m just one person with anxiety, the way it was depicted felt very generic. The pacing was all over the place and the insta-love paired with them hating each other did not work well. Every single character seemed to handle conflict so poorly (e.g., the Violet/Elias thing, Scarlette’s anxiety, and Julian’s parents’ relationship). This book also doesn’t really seem to fit in with the rest of the Pitstop series (title, characters, writing style, etc) which makes me wonder if it was thrown in as an afterthought. I love the rest of the series, but this one just didn’t hit. It was also a serious ick for me that he called her mami in and out of the bedroom. Lastly, the typos🥴
🇺🇸 : My first book by Bridget L. Rose and I really enjoyed it! Anything that has motorsports is a mega YES for me and although I've only recently started following Moto GP, I have to say that I loved the F1’s references and the role of women in these sports.
What you can find in this book is: - Fake Relationship; - Motor sports, with emphasis on MotoGP and Formula 1; - Representation.
Speaking in detail about the points I liked the most:
1. Anxiety will be a focal point in the book. The book repeatedly addresses panic attacks and some ways/tricks to relieve anxiety. Fortunately, it is a theme that recurs in the books I read but I have to highlight this one because I think it’s done in a very complex and accurate way. The way the protagonist felt and the characters around her made her feel was described in a way that made me feel that I, too, was there.
2. Women in motor sports. The FMC of this book is looking for an opportunity to become an engineer in formula 1 and that was one of the points I most enjoyed reading about. Firstly, because women in engineering are not very common, but women in formula 1? Even less and seeing her struggle in both camps made the book much richer and more diverse.
3. Whenever the protagonist spoke Spanish. That's the point.
4. The secondary characters. I want a story about this couple for yesterday. It's a book that's really worth it and it's a super easy read.
Oh man, I don't know where to start with this review. The way Bridget just write these books that captivate you and pull you in right from the first chapter.
Scarlette and Storm were everything, Scarlette suffers really badly with anxiety but has big dreams of getting into engineering in Formula 1. And Storm, whose dad wants him to take over his company, but he has dreams of his own, in Moto GP. Scarlette was just the most beautiful soul with a heart of gold, and Storm was her complete opposite, he's grumpy, an arsehole and can be quite cold at times.
But when his dad assumes he's dating Scarlette and offers to take them both to Monaco, just how far are they willing to take their fake dating? What Bridget has done with this book is just beautiful, she never fails to create these badass woman, who have such goals in life. But she also beautifully mirrored her own struggles with anxiety through Scar's character, and made you truly feel that your anxiety doesn't lessen you as a person, and that's exactly what Storm does for Scar.
Also can we talk about how refreshing the consent in this book was? And also the little Easter eggs of Bridget's other books. Honestly just utter perfection.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/🌶️🌶️🌶️ Ah so cute! I would of liked a bit more about F1🏎️ in the book but still really like this one. So much happens all at once that I didn’t want to put it down, I just wanted to keeping reading. I found it so cute how juliàn was basically in love with her from the start of the book and all the support he gave her through everything she was going through🥹 And how she makes it clear she’s not a girl with a stick thin body and you can see how it bothers her but some of the things he says and does to make her feel ‘perfect’ and to try and get her to see what he sees in in her, omg I loved that. It’s wasn’t a book where the boy tells her she looks good and believes him, you get you read about how she starts to get her confidence back on her own and that she doesn’t need anyone to tell her she’s perfect because she now knows herself 🥰 I love the body positivity! When you think alls good all the dramas done now and they gone go off all happy together and then bang the author goes and drops more twists like what?🫨
Overall really enjoyed this one and you should definitely give this a read!
4.5 ⭐️ (goodreads NEEDS to add half ratings but they haven’t yet, so I’m rounding to a 5 star)
This book was everything 🫶🏼🥹
Thank you so much Bridget for sending me an ARC, I absolutely adore you <3
Where do I even start??
The depth these characters have, is incredible. You gradually find out more about the characters as you read, your heart breaks for them, because what they are going through is so incredibly realistic.
As someone with anxiety, I loved to see the representation in this book. It was done so well, and you could feel the panic through the pages.
Scarlette is such a strong fmc, she doesn’t take anyone’s shit and she’s a ray of sunshine. I wanted to cry every time she doubted her worth, she deserves the entire world and Julián would give it to her in an instant. I have trouble with fmc annoying me sometimes, but not once did Scarlette annoy me. All I had was adoration for her. No matter what she was going through she always fought, whether it was her anxiety attacks, someone making Julián uncomfortable, etc. Not all fmc’s have to be knife wielding, man killers to be strong, Scarlette shows light to that. I love her so much, it hurts 🫶🏼
Julián had so much depth to him. He and Scarlette had both went through such traumatic events, and he was still able to love her. It’s hard to be vulnerable, and this book shows that to a great extent. Julián had a hard time opening up, which is so relatable. He needed a rainbow in his life to bring back the color he lost so long ago, he needed Scarlette. The love he showed for her was huge. They both love each other so unconditionally 😭 at Scarlette hardest times, he was there for her. He would do anything for her to just be happy. The little things he done for Scarlette were so sweet, i swooned every single time. Julián deserves all the love in the world 🫶🏼
All of the representation in this book was so refreshing to see. There’s a curvy fmc, a Latino mmc, anxiety rep, a character who uses they/them pronouns (my fav🫶🏼), the representation is just everything.
📖: The Inside Of A Rainbow ⭐️: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 🌶️: 🌶️🌶️🌶️ /5
I knew the moment I set my eyes on the cover that this book would be the death of me. But it’s quite the opposite actually, it healed me ✨ Truly, I was sad and stressed and in the worst ever reading slump of my life but true to it’s title, 𝘪𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘣𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘺 𝘚𝘵𝘰𝘳𝘮 𝘤𝘭𝘰𝘶𝘥𝘴 ♡
The FMC, Scarlette was truly a gem 💎 This sassy woman made men fall on their knees! The way her character was so confident and radiated body positivity was amazing af! I loved how the author portrayed Scarlette, and her anxiety and her scar along with her past, everything was realistic and something that many would relate to. The representation of this character was astounding 🫶🏻 I think everyone can fall in love with her because she truly is a Rainbow 🌈
Julián, our Storm ♡ the town grump turned pudding-for-Scarlette haha 🙈💕 I think I fell in love with the way he thought! He was so selfless and always put others before him. And when his hard exterior melted away and we say this true vulnerable guy… I melted 🥺 He is officially my husband and nothing can come in between him and me! The best parts were how I could connect to him and feel him and all I want now is to be his backpack 😗💖
I absolutely ate this book up, once I started it I couldn’t put it down until it was done.
Each of these characters had such depth, passion, and intensity to them. The way that none of them are perfect in the best ways, and how all of them interact and root for each other was incredible. The anxiety rep was amazing and realistic, and I truly love how Bridget creates such strong, powerful female characters. They are so inspiring and it’s so so good to see women in motor sports, whether it’s part of the story or the woman writing it.
And Julian? JULIAN? Gosh I just adore that man and his devotion to his woman. I’m a sucker for every trope in this book, grumpy x sunshine, fake dating, he falls first, and this book blended them all seamlessly.
I love my f1 romance, but it was so fun to be involved in the MotoGP world with some f1 cameos and I loved every second of it. My new favorite micro trope is him helping her put her helmet on >>>
I absolutely adored this book with my entire being and I kiss the ground that Bridget L Rose walks on
The Inside of a Rainbow is such a fun and heartfelt romance! Scarlette is an inspiring main character. She’s chasing her dream of working in Formula One while also dealing with her own struggles with anxiety. I loved how real and relatable she felt. As someone who also struggles from anxiety, this was written beautifully. Amazing job Bridget 💚
Then there’s Julián “Storm” Alvarez, the grumpy MotoGP racer with a tough past. The chemistry between him and Scarlette is amazing. Their fake-dating situation during the Monaco Grand Prix was exciting, sweet, and full of tension. I fell in love with Storm the moment he appeared in the book (Adrian is still my number one)
This book has everything: great characters, a fun enemies-to-lovers vibe, and the fast-paced world of racing. Bridget L. Rose did a fantastic job balancing romance, drama, and personal growth.
If you love slow-burn romance with plenty of heart and a dash of adrenaline, you need to read this book!
Thank you so much Bridget for sending me an e-ARC of this! This is a tough one for me because there were elements I loved and elements I didn’t vibe with.
This is a small town, grumpy sunshine, fake dating romance with anxiety rep, only one bed, Moto GP and F1 elements. The anxiety rep is so so good and you can tell Bridget really understands what it’s like. I love how grumpy Julian is, he literally never smiles and Scarlette makes it her mission to see him do it. The tension between them is great - there’s a lot of build up where they keep getting interrupted and it drives you crazy! They don’t even kiss until well over 50%.
I also LOVED the crossover with the Rush world. I love that series so much so seeing Valentina made me scream. Leonard was also a nice addition.
However on the other side, I didn’t vibe with what happened at the end, it felt really out of character for the book and too dramatic. There was a male saviour moment which rubbed me the wrong way. This book also felt a little more juvenile than the others I’ve read from Bridget. I loved Rush (part 2 more so) but this felt like it was for a different audience.
I do love Bridget’s storytelling but I definitely prefer the Rush universe. I would recommend this book, I just didn’t enjoy it as much as the others in her backlist.
To be honest, I had a great time while reading this story. I was happy to read about subjects I don't see often in books such as Moto GP, Formula 1 and engineering but also about anxiety and panic attacks !! I thought Bridget wrote wonderfully about it !!
Overall, the relationship was adorable and I loved the way they evolved with each other as a couple but also as people ! There was a real chemistry between them and I really felt their love through the book. However, there was a little bit too much spice for me so I didn't really match with this side of their relationship. But if you like spicy books, this is one is absolutely for you !!!!
At the end, I felt a little bit lost and that's why this book wasn't a five stars read ! There was a lot of elements and I kinda felt overwhelmed. It is not a big deal at all but I thought it was important to mention it to understand the way I rated this book :)
It was a very good book, the writing was great and the pace was also very nice. In my opinion, the relationship was quite authentic and realistic too for people in their early 20s !! Bridget made a wonderful work with this story and I can't wait for people to discover everything this book has to offer ! I am sure you will enjoy it a lot :)
ALSO !!! As a French-Spanish girl, it was a PLEASURE to read Spanish here and there in the book. Also the Spanish nicknames >>>> That was really cute and I clearly melted every time !!
Congratulations Bridget on this book !! You made a wonderful job and you can be proud of yourself ♡ Forever grateful for you and your kindness !!! Wishing you the absolute best
It's ok, nothing special. A little too insta love for me out of the bat and the dialogue is not my cup of tea, pretty basic and boring. I'm probably gonna stick to Bridget's new books cause I loved Jump Start so she def got the writing style down.
It pains me to give this book such a low rating but I have to live my truth. The writing just wasn’t good. This book is just one giant repeat. Julian and Scarlette instantly fell for each other and they were in love and obsessed with each other. Apparently they were enemies? Idk when or where because they were saying I love you 20% in. At first it was cute. But there are only so many times I can read the same thing. The plot points were wild. Like he was a wannabe MotoGP rider (wanted this to be a bigger plot), she just wanted to waltz into the top engineering spot at Mercedes F1 (lol girl you are in college). Billionaire stepfather (rip), daddy issues, underdeveloped side characters, psycho professors and awkward/cringe sex scenes this book truly had it all while also doing nothing. I found myself rolling my eyes and just being like come on. The anxiety rep was good to see but I hated how Scarlette’s loved ones handled besides Julian. Towards the end I was just like please let it be over because I can’t handle anymore Mami/Arcoíris comments. I understand that you two can’t live without each other. The idea of Julian and Scarlette I loved but they deserved better writing.
Fake Dating or not, I know this moment is real, and it’s all ours.
Oh I forget how much I love a good fake dating trope.
The Inside of A Rainbow is book 2 in the Pitstop Series, (although it can be read as a standalone novel) It is a dual POV enemies to lovers, fake dating, romance between Julian “Storm” Alvarez and Scarlette Root. When Scarlette moves to the small town of Moonville, she is determined to put her past behind her. She had to put her life on hold whilst she took care of her parents for 2 years, but now she’s ready to put herself in the drivers seat. She’s ready to focus on her studies, and do well enough in her new job so that just maybe, she’ll be able to get her foot in the door to get to her dream job, being a race engineer for Formula One.
Julian is the grump to her sunshine. At the end of their first meeting, one thing is very clear. They don’t like each other. He can’t understand how she can possibly be so happy all the time, and she can’t understand how he can be so grumpy all the time. When her boss, Julian's father, mistakenly believes that they are dating, and offers Scarlette the opportunity of a lifetime, she doesn’t understand why Julian has agreed to it. But he has an ulterior motive, his feelings for Scarlette have been changing, and he will do whatever he can to make her change her mind about him. After all every Storm needs its Rainbow.
This book has almost all of my favorite tropes in it, There’s fake dating, enemies to lovers, and grumpy x sunshine. I love a good fake dating trope when it’s done well and this one does it so well . I love that Scarlette is so confused as to why he would help her, and the fact that he is so gone for her by the time this happens makes it even better. If there is anything I love more than a fake dating trope, it’s going to be when the two people who are fake dating start realizing that their feelings are very real. The grumpy x sunshine in this is phenomenal. The fact he doesn’t smile for anyone except her? Swoonwothy. Scarlette trying so hard to fight her feelings for him because she doesn’t think he could possibly like her that way, meanwhile he is dying for just a single touch from her, is everything to me. I really like the fact that it focuses a lot on just Scarlette and Julian as opposed to his career as a MotoGP driver, as someone who is not really that familiar with MotoGP, it was easy to understand what was happening.
Julian quickly became a favorite character of mine, The fact that he is so protective over Scarlette and everyone he cares about was one of my favorite aspects of him as a character. I also am a sucker for the ‘he falls first and harder’ boys and my word does he live up to that. He is so gone for her from the minute he lays eyes on her. Who doesn’t love it when a guy is so in love with a girl he says things like ‘I want to punch myself’, because he said “Ummm” because he thinks she looks so beautiful when she opens the door. When he refers to her as ‘My girl’, it had me giggling and kicking my feet. Just everything about how much he loves Scarlette was my favorite thing. Side note, but when he refers to himself as ‘your worst nightmare’, all I could think about was Mushu from Mulan, and it made me laugh so much.
Scarlette though. She was everything I didn’t realize I needed. I started reading this at a time when my anxiety was bad, and getting the better of me, so when I read both the authors note, and then just read Scarlette, I felt so seen and so validated. The bravery of her was really inspiring, not to mention the fact that she does what she can to chase her dreams, she was really a force to be reckoned with, and personally she is one of my favorite fictional characters. When she is convincing herself that she isn’t weak it was one of my favorite moments, and was something that helped me remind myself of the same thing. When she said ‘I deserve this life, this body, and the breath in my lungs’, it bought to tears to my eyes in the best way.
One of the things I really love about Bridget’s works is that as much as she writes characters that are incredibly amazing and you can’t help but love them. (I will forever be Adrian Romana’s number one fan) but she does so well at writing hateable characters as well and in this book its no different. I won’t spoil too much of it, but he got what he deserved and I am very thankful for that. I also love how well the side characters are fleshed out, but never take away from Scarlette and Julian’s story.
This book had me awake at 4 in the morning sobbing and personally I wouldn’t have it any other way, I love the Pitstop series, I will never stop gushing about how much I love it, and I am ready to dive into the next one. This book was an easy 5 star for me.
Once again for the fourth time, Bridget L Rose has written a heartwarming romance that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face!
I absolutely loved the story and concept for the book, I'm a huge fan of fake dating and forced proximity and I've got to say that it was written so well. I also loved that the writing was easy to read and fast paced.
I really felt for our FMC Scarlette, her anxiety representation was so well handled and I related to her a lot. The mental health topics were written so well, I loved how mental health was shown in a more positive light rather than being a weakness.
Juliàn and Scar's relationship was definitely a lot slower than the characters from previous books, they didn't even kiss until halfway through which I didn't actually mind, I loved that their relationship was based on trust and common interests rather than sex. Speaking of, the spice was written really well, though the scenes were minimal compared to previous books, I liked how they were handled with the consent.
Another detail I loved was the relationships and interactions between the characters, they were all so believable and cute, especially the friendship between Juliàn and Elias (I loved Elias!). The small references to Bridget's other books were awesome to see, especially when TIOAR tied in with Rush.
The ending was lovely, though the main event that happened with a certain professor felt a little out of place within the story, it kind of worked. I liked the emotional turns this book took, and the epilogue was just a perfect wrap.
I'm so hyped for another book from Bridget L Rose, her writing is addictive and I'd reccomend all of her books, including my personal favourite From Devils To Angels.
Also, I'm in the acknowledgements, thank you! I'm always happy to support♡
Okay so I’m slightly obsessed with the pitstop series, the books are so good and the characters warm my heart.
I’m not a big motorGP fan but my family is and let me tell you after reading this book I can totally see the appeal with it.
Storm is dark ,grumpy and generally that bad boy, but he’s not anything like he’s portrayed. He’s sweet and handsome and caring and he has stolen my heart and made it to the top 3 book boyfriend list.
Scarlett’s is our plus size fmc, which we love to see. She also struggled with severe anxiety and it is represented in such a realistic way. As someone who has struggled with anxiety and anxiety attacks it can feel like your whole world is falling apart and I think Bridget represents this beautifully through Scarlette.
Favourite quotes from this book: * “Something as beautiful as your scar deserves to be worshipped. Do you understand me?” - beauty isn’t defined by perfection it’s defined by personality and storm showed this in this scene.
* “Quiero ser tu todo, arcoíris,” - translates to : “I want to be your everything, rainbow,”
* Mi arcoíris, mi amor, mi vida. Mi perfecta Scarlette. - translates to: My rainbow, my love, my life. My perfect Scarlette.
This books was just utter perfection, I could talk about it for hours but don’t want too many spoilers. I’d recommend you give it a read 4 stars
This entire review has been hidden because of spoilers.
Scarlette from The Inside of a Rainbow, is a strong woman with Big dreams, a charming personality and strong determination. She is so relatable, in so many ways.
Then, We have... Julián... He is Dark... Wait... Well Not at all when It comes to Scar... Su arcoiris. Julián is the kind of Guy Who really appreciate an independent woman, he knows she doesn't need him, but he wants to stay anyway, he knows she is a freaking Hero, and he is freaking Proud of her. He is a badass.
Let me tell you, he can easily make me wish a Guy like him by my side.
Bridget 's Story is so easy and joyable to read, you can dive into It without even notice, out Hero Julián is biligual so you can find some spanish phrases with their translation, so you wont get lost.
Mental Health is part of our Story, and the author wrote it beautifully and realistic. Anxiety, grief, insecurity are the topics and i'm happy about what I read.
I want to thank Bridget for give me the chance to read this Wonderful Story and be part of her team in this new release. I can't wait to read more from her in the future.
Check out my edit of this book on my Instagram/tiktok @F1MedReader
The combo of F1 racing and MotoGP racing was a big win for me personally!
I absolutely LOVE the characters!!! Scarlettes mental health struggles were so relatable and given the author poured her own real life experience into the scenarios everything felt so well handled and realistic! And Julian?! Omg the all encompassing way he loved her was ✨ magic ✨
The writing was once again easy to consume and had me finishing the book in a single setting (including sitting up til 3am) however unfortunately for me this story was weaker than book 1.
I really enjoyed the characters and watching their relationship but the beginning felt quite rushed and the ending also a little out of left field and rushed.
Did I still have a good time reading this book? Absolutely I did! Will I be picking up the next story in the series? Right away! 🫶🏽
"I think we're all a little broken, it's part of life."
My favourite book of the series so far! I devoured this book. Scarlette and Julian are so precious. Their slow burn is delicious. I literally flew through this book! There was something so melodic and free-flowing about the writing.
I also loved how this story is set where the characters are still very much chasing their dreams. There's an overall sports theme to the book, but it's not the main focus and I really enjoyed that. Also how fun that we're introduced to characters who also have their own books! Valentina's story is very much on my list next.
The anxiety representation is incredible, I've never felt so seen. I feel Scarlette, I always worry my anxiety is a burden and often try to go it alone so I don't interrupt my family's life. Thank you Bridget for writing her story.

What to expect when reading a The Inside of a Rainbow; -Enemies to Lovers -Fake dating -Anxiety rep -Slow Burn -Grumpy x Sunshine -Formula 1 & Moto GP
Scarlette is trying to follow her dreams of becoming a Formula 1 engineer! When she goes to college in a small town, she meets the town Grump aka Julián “Storm” Alvarez. Julian comes up with an idea that will not only help her but help him get close to her for he thinks she’s the greatest thing ever!
I honestly love this take on formula one, I gave it 4.5 stars because I wish it did have a little more F1 in it, but overall I loved the story line and character growth!
Favorite line:”I want you to feel as safe as I will always keep you”
oh man i don't even know what it is about the author's writing, it just drew me in. the characters were realistic and still had the hint of fictional to them and i was so mesmerised by every word Bridget wrote. the tropes were done right. and i mean RIGHT. this book has the fluffy the giggling and the cutest moments with plenty of spice. i don't usually write a lot of reviews, neither do i make them this long but the author deserves to know how well she's doing, i'm proud of her. this has to my favourite read all year.
First of all, thank you Bridget for the arc! This book is absolutely beautiful!!! I enjoyed the characters a lot and the storyline was well written. She really knows how to pull readers into a book. Julián.....he is absolutely hot and cute and I seriously have no words to describe him perfectly. He is an amazing book boyfriend. And Scarlette is an incredible woman and I love the representation. And the little easter eggs of her other books. This is pure perfection!!! I loved seeing where the love story went. And also the acknowledgement at the end🤌 thank you soo much Bridget!!
