A grumpy Bigfoot billionaire, his awkward human assistant, and a half million dollar date…
Bailey isn’t good at stuff, she’s used to trying new things and failing repeatedly, but she’s determined that her new job is going to last, she’s willing to do anything to make sure it does.
Even if it means dating her stern cryptid boss.
Sacha Kwatch has spent years convincing society he's more than a monster, he's a responsible businessman. But when a beautiful woman walks into his office his mating bond snaps into place awakening his most primal urges.
He needs her. So he offers her the one thing she needs in return, money.
Bailey knows it’s ridiculous to date your boss, but who turns down half a million dollars? She's determined to get her money but the more time she spends with Sacha the more she begins to think she might be able to trust his declarations of love. Is it ridiculous to think she can have her payday, and eat it too?
Cryptid Billionaires is a series of low-angst high-steam standalone romances centered around employees at the tech company Encryptid, each book features a love story for a different kind of cryptid with a guaranteed happily ever after
This started off on a good note with Bay (h) starting at a new job as the human temp assistant of billionaire monster, Sacha (H). Our world has gone through a Decrypting where cryptids are now known about and some take part in human society. As one of the CEOs of this cybersecurity company (along with two of his friends), Sacha tries hard to appear more palatable to humans. But one whiff of Bay and he's battling some urges because she's his fated mate. Both have insta-attraction (humans can't feel the bond however) and Bay's lasting longer than any other of Sacha's prior assistants until a misunderstanding about a Friday meeting turns awkward. Sacha asks for a chance and they sign a dating contract that ensures Bay would be compensated if she stops seeing him.
Written in first person, dual POV. No ow drama, blip of an om drama when H overhears a coworker ask h on a date but that guy was an ass and later embarrasses her by saying it wasn't even that. Both are experienced, but it's been a while I think for each.
Some parts of Bigfoot Boss were cute and funny. Sacha is adorable with animals and he genuinely wants to make Bay comfortable and not scare away his fated mate. Bay was open-minded about Bigfoots and I liked that she had aspirations that held deep personal meaning to her, she just had made some hard choices and didn't have the finances to fund her dream. Bay was also a struggle for me though. She was willing to sleep with Sacha to keep her job at one point (admittedly she had a crush on him so no hardship but the reasoning was off). Her thoughts surrounding the contract and walking away with cash gave me icky feelings too, esp with how she continued to think about it even with the dates going well and them clicking. On the other hand, Sacha kept the fated mate aspect a secret since he thought it would overwhelm Bay, when really she had emotional baggage related to feeling like too much and being abandoned. Also, Bay was really bad at her job. I appreciated that she had tried a lot of things, but I wondered if the reason nothing else had stuck for her previously was because she just wasn't good at them. I mean, she had to take notes in a meeting and didn't write a single thing down!
Steamy times-wise, there's a bit of chasing worked in because of Sacha's prey drive, but I wouldn't classify this as primal play personally. It could have been with a little more added. Bigfoot males are also packing a knot so some knotty times happen. Also, some degradation occurs late in the book that came out of left field imo. Sacha was so careful with Bay, while still being dirty, and I could believe some of the sterner aspect of him during spicy times, but calling Bay a slut just felt out of character, even if she was into it. I also hate degradation personally so I'm biased against it and I usually avoid books if I know it's in there.
Bay's best friend was a delight and scenes with her in it were great, she was encouraging and fun. I did not like the other two cryptid billionaires, one was a gross womanizer and the other was stand-offish. I was also confused at one point about the roles they played in the company and then a board of directors was mentioned later so the business setup didn't completely gel on page for me. Cute foster cat and kittens are adorable though! Also, Sacha's parents embarrassed him but they do meet Bay and they were so precious and loving.
The third act brings everything to a head, the avoidance of telling her she's his fated mate and the plot device of the dating contract. I was frustrated with both honestly, but it's wrapped up quickly and with a bow placed on it, then the main characters are four months down the road in the epilogue, living together and setting up Bay's new business with Sacha rethinking his business ways. Overall, this started out hopeful for me and then faltered. I did enjoy several scenes a lot and some of the vibes of the characters, but I'm not continuing the series.
💫“Moss, mushrooms, and fresh rain; it’s like the forest has invaded my office in the form of a shapely woman. She’s perfect. She’s meant to be mine. I need her. My whole body goes rigid. “✨
The story follows Bailey, our human FMC who starts a temp job at a major tech company. Little does she know, her new boss Sacha, an intimidating 7ft Big foot, will turn her world upside down. Although they come from two completely different worlds, their attraction is instant. Sacha bribes Bailey into dating him, promising her a large sum if she decides is isn’t working and want end things. No pressure, Quick easy money for her! She plans to take the money & run but learns it’s easier said than done once she starts getting to know our cinnamon roll MMC.
I LOVED the relationship between Bailey & Sacha! That man may be a monster, but he’s just a big ol softie. I loved the side characters and the world that was built. This book made me feel good from start to finish!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cozy Monster Romance 🌶️ 🌶️🌶️ Their spice was 👌🏻 🩷🩷🩷🩷All the hearts for my man Sacha who just wants to be accepted & loved.
The monster MMC calls the HUMAN FMC beast?! *swoon*
This was my first Luna Cantrip book, but I cannot wait to get my hands on more. I started this one just before heading up to bed and could NOT put it down. Needless to say, the next day at work was rough!
The MMCs name did make me giggle any time I came across it, Sacha Kwatch, but soo clever on the authors part.
Cryptids are now part of everyday society and our MMC is a bigfoot. Bailey is a down on her luck woman looking for a stable job with a stable pay check so she can open her dream cafe.
Sacha knows Bay is his fated mate from the first time he catches her scent, but when he is overcome by worry that she might reject him, he offers her a deal - date him and if she hates him he'll pay her 500k so she can make her dream come true.
Getting both POVs here made the story so loveable. Sacha is so nervous and concerned about doing things right. Bay has had so many letdowns. Watching them struggle though their issues to their happily ever after was like a warm hug.

Ugh, I just love plus sized love. Bay is confident in her own skin and I adore her for it. We need more fmcs like this! She takes a temp job and though she doesn’t really know what she’s doing the pay is amazing so she goes anyways. Every single person warns her about her boss but he doesn’t seem mean to her. Little does she know it’s because she’s his mate.
Sacha Kwatch (how genius is that name??) is a Bigfoot and has the monstrous personality to match. He has curbed his desires to fit in and appear more human though he does still have some dark desires. At first sniff of Bays smell he knows he’s screwed, she’s his mate.
This story was so cute! I loved that they entered an arrangement so he could spend time with her. He ended up being such a sweetheart and Bay didn’t stand a chance!
I honestly loved this book! I’ve really been into cinnamon roll monster smut books these days!! Why?! Because they are not only adorable “she is mine” vibes but spicy AF. The real world is sad and stressful but fake monster worlds are exciting, sex positive and body positive fun!! I love getting lost in these worlds. And Who knew a cryptid Bigfoot softie at heart could be such a hottie?! Haha. I can’t wait to read more from this series.
I’m sorry, but who accepts a job that requires severe background checks and doesn’t bother doing the research on the company to understand who they’re working for??????? Or know what their job responsibilities are??? I’m confused. The whole job was a mess. The contract was a mess.
The only enjoyable parts were: the cabin in the woods spicy fun, spicy office shenanigans and the Bigfoot community/ found family aspect. I did enjoy (some) side characters too and I’d be curious to see the rest of the Cryptid Billionaires but meh.
"Running makes me see you as prey, and there are only two things I do with prey. Eat it, or f*** it."
Ok Bigfoot...I see you. Who knew the big, hairy cryptid could be so sexy and swoony? I loved every moment of reading this book. It's the perfect mix of spicy and cozy vibes. The romance was sweet, the characters were loveable, and the humor was fun. And I'm a sucker for chase scenes and this book delivered!
If you're in the mood for a low angst, cozy monster romance with a cinnamon roll monster male this is the book for you!
This was such a fun read! It has all the elements you want in a monster romance plus plenty of spice, chasing scenes, and a perfect blend of filthy and cute moments! I can't wait to read more by this author. I hope Ness gets a book!
This is everything you want from a fast paced insta-love monster romance. Is it predictable? Sure! Is it spicy & sexy & unexpectedly sweet?! Yuhhhhh 👏🏽 I loved Bay (fmc) and her boss Sascha Kwatch (lmao). The introduction to the other millionaire cryptids was also awesome (like gimme that mothman romance ASAP)
⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ 💫 + 🌶️ 🌶️ 🌶️
Read if you love: office romance • forbidden romance • boss x secretary • grumpy x sunshine • monster romance • pr!mal play • found family • mates • hands on the desk • mutual pining • insta love • curvy/plus FMC
I love cryptids. I am just dipping my toes into the overall monster romance subgenre but I think this was a great starting point. The storyline is cozy with some humor, low stakes and some spice.
Sacha Kwatch is a great freaking name, as was the other cryptids names, and the company name Encryptid— love it all. Sacha Kwatch was known to be a grumpy boss, everyone tended to avoid but Bailey was overall relatively unphazed by him — she needed the job.
Bailey is so damn relatable. She’s trying to figure her shit out, drowning in student loan debt (hello millennial), and fosters cats with a dream of opening a cat cafe.
Their story, although typically clichè (boss/employee) was so fun with the crytpid twist. If you’re looking for a quick read, look no further.
This was a fun read! I’ve had it in my tbr for a little while and decided to read it. I got it on SYKD!! Sacha whose last name is Kwatch ( so if you put them together it sounds like Sasquatch) is a millionaire man who created his company from the ground up. Bailey is a young woman who is completely broke with student loans. She went to college to be a lawyer but she wants to own a cat cafe? You think if I’m hundreds of dollars in debt, im gonna wanna own a cat cafe? It almost sounds like she didn’t even bother to attempt to be a lawyer! Anywho, she’s broke and take an assistant job at Sacha’s company. Everyone warns her he’s insufferable. He’s gone through a ton of assistants. Except when he meets Bailey he is completely smitten. Bailey does even notice that he’s interested in her because she just really needs the job. He so infatuated by her that he comes to her with a deal. Date him and if she doesn’t like him he will pay her 500k, enough to pay off her student debt and open her business if she brakes up with him. Which I found a little dumb because of course she would break up with him even if she liked him? Spoiler alert she ends up liking him and they end up going into business together. I didn’t give it 5 stars because there’s just some points that I don’t care for. It was also giving a mix of twilight and 50 shades of grey. I enjoyed it but it’s not a 5 star read for me. Was def spicy though!! It also had some funny parts in it that I enjoyed. The characters were very likable it was just a typical story. I wish it had more depth and creativity.
This book was so good! I've read other cryptid PNR before but never a Bigfoot one! Bigfoot Boss is well balanced with spice and plot. Sometimes an author will sacrifice one for the other but not this book! I don't know how I'm going to articulate how enjoyable this book was. I loved that his name is Sacha Kwatch and that Bailey's friend calls her Cheddar Bay Biscuit. Bay's insecurities are relatable without being whiny. Sacha's character is growly and loveable. This book made me laugh and it made me squirm. Just go read it!!!!!
“—then I’m going to f∆∆k you into this desk, until I finish inside you so deep that you are forced to think about me all day long as my c∆m drips out of you.”
“Staying home and thinking about your assistant while you tug on your little foot, isn’t a plan.”
You know what they say when the guy has big feet...
The story start with human woman, Bayley, who starts working as a temporary assistant at major tech company, right under the head CEO, Sascha, who is a bigfoot. Both of them are almost instantly attracted to each other, but life is never that easy.
Both of the characters were well written with interesting backgrounds. Bailey is perfect example what strong fmc should be, someone who knows what she wants and how to get it, but also being vulnerable at times. Sascha is both strong and soft as a mmc, which I like a lot.
The whole idea of cryptids coming out from the woods is really interesting thought and kept me wanting to know about the whole background of them coming public more.
I give happily this book full five out of five stars!
I recommend this book to all those who like cryptids and not so normal relationships.
I loved this! I think an important favorite is how the FMC was described and how she presented herself confidently while being plus size. It was done perfectly, and I really enjoyed it.
This was a truly low-angst, wonderfully romantic, fun novel. I enjoyed myself quite a bit. The sex scenes were top tier. I love primal play, personally, so I had no issue with it, and I LOVE knotting, so I knew I would have no issue with that either.
I loved how the MMC was sweet and charming to the FMC. You could feel how much he wanted to cherish and take care of her. He did not want to scare her away, his fated mate, and wanted to date her the "human" way. I thought this was cute and understandable based on how the FMC's background and personality were introduced to us throughout the story.
This writing is great, and I will totally support the author's future releases! They are a really talented writer.
Bailey's starting a new job as assistant to Mr. Kwatch, who turns out to be a hairy, grumpy but handsome Bigfoot.
One whiff of his new assistant's scent and Sacha is sure, the adorable woman with the bright clothes and the pink hair is his fated mate.
Do you like stories where both MCs have insecurities due to former experiences? Where both of them are quick to reassure each other, they are perfect, just the way they are? Where one date leads to a weekend, leads to more? Where a weekend getaway turns into an impromptu family meeting? Stories with adorable kittens and even more adorable plus-sized FMCs and Monster MMCs? With a side of dirty talk and office shenanigans? Then you really should pick up "Bigfoot Boss", because there's all of that and so much more in this adorable story. Perfect for lovers of cosy monster romance with low angst and a deliciously hot slow burn ❤️🔥❤️🔥
After the “Decrypting”, cryptids have started to mingle and become a part of “normal” aka human society. Bailey, a temp worker, starts a new job at Cryptech as the PA to the CFO and Bigfoot, Sacha Kwatch. (I’m absolutely obsessed with the name) After their first encounter and one sniff from Mr. Kwatch, he’s hit with the realization that his new pink pixie-cut assistant is his fated mate.
I absolutely enjoyed every second I spent reading this book. The characters are lovable, the story is adorable, the spice is spicy🌶️, what more can you ask for? This was my first read from Luna Cantrip, and I can tell you that it will most definitely not be my last!
This book was a super cute/ sexy easy read with a Bigfoot who just wants his fated mate to be with him!
Sacha owns a cybertech company, and Bay becomes his personal assistant. As soon as he meets her he realizes that she is his fated mate. She’s interested in him but doesn’t know how to go about dating her boss so they enter an agreement that lets her go scot-free if nothing works out between them (spoiler it does work out!)
They end up spending more time together both intimately and romantically and end up falling for each other naturally! There are some scenes that are super sexy and others that are super sweet.
There’s a teeny bit of miscommunication in this which is never my fav trope but it was a cute and happy ending so i recommend this book if you want a cute and quick read about a Bigfoot and his mate !

Bigfoot Boss seriously hit me with all the cute and fluffy feels.
This is definitely one of those cozy feel good reads that you can lose yourself in. This is definitely a sweet and spicy read
Sacha and Bay are so cute! Sacha the CFO of a large tech company, which he helped build from the ground up and Bailey a temp worker, with big dreams sent to Encryptid to be Mr Kwatch’s new assistant.
They both struggle with their own insecurities and there some miscommunications, but with a half a million dollar deal on the table, what’s there to lose, one date is all it will take and Bailey can walk away and start her dream.
I loved the awkward interaction at the start and seeing the chemistry grow between them.
Luna has done a fantastic job with Bigfoot Boss I loved the characters and I am super excited to see what more comes from the Cryptid Billionaires Series.
“And now she walks in, and throws my world completely off its axis.“
Sasha Kwatch is a Bigfoot and the CFO of a big tech company. He knows the moment Bay walks in that she’s his fated mate however it’s not that simple for humans and Sasha must win her heart. I came for the bad puns (not enough) and the smut (it’s steamy) but I stayed for the wonderful cozy storyline which was surprisingly heartfelt. I love the confidence that Bay has and would like to borrow a little dazzle of her positivity ✨ A hairy Bigfoot is not my kind of kink but the way in which Luna writes had me hooked anyway. This had no right to be as good as it was. This was fun, low angst, and had me laughing at some silly things along the way.
Bigfoot, SIR! I absolutely loved all the spicy dirty bits of this book. The dirty talk...oh my!
Sactch was such a big sweetheart. I liked that he realized the whole fated mate thing was a lot for a girl to handle, and the way he was immediately over the moon for Bay! He tried so dang hard to ease into things and keep Bay without just grabbing her and running for the hills lol. Bay was a sweetheart, with all her nervousness! It was really touching how she connected so well with his family and wasn't judging them against human standards (because they aren't human). I thought this was such a fun read, and I really appreciated no drama for the sake of drama! I am so interested in the other cryptids in this world too. Hopefully, we get to meet the others soon!
As an avid cryptid lover and smut reader, I was a bit worried going into this. Cryptid romance books can be hit or miss, but this was WONDERFUL. It was fast paced, but well written. The smut was well done and not uncomfortable. The chemistry wasn't forced, and was reciprocated by both parties which I LOOOOVED.
I mean if a Bigfoot told me "I think you are passionate, and it makes you even more beautiful," I might just fall over and melt. Don't even get me started on when he says "I like when people see us together. I like that they know that you are mine." *squeals*
Luna Cantrip also knows her readers well when she says at the end of the book, "Here's hoping we all find the perfect hairy beast to curl up next to at night, who will make us tea, read us a good book, and rip our enemies in half if we ask them to very nicely."
I can't wait to read the next books in this series! I will anxiously be waiting for them.
I’m finding myself losing interest and cringing. This book started off great but it’s not delivering on the primal I came here for and no part of me wants to continue tbh. I don’t feel like I’ll be sad if I don’t find out how it ends. Alas. Sorry it has to end like this.
Snippets I Liked:
- “Nothing’s wrong,” I mutter. Something is horribly wrong.
- “Ms. Thorn,” Sacha takes a deep breath, “is this a rather skillful drawing of our CTO, Mr. Pleasant, wearing a diaper and holding a rattle?”
- “I’m sure I could think of something Sacha needs.” Ness curves his long neck to watch me. I could kill him.
- He leans away from the table. “Human women don’t enjoy being chased through the woods.” “We don’t?” I ask. “This is news to me.”
Super cute silly read. Sacha Kwatch is a CFO of a tech company. His new temp, Bailey Thorn, gets under his... fur and chaos ensues. Humans don't have fated mates but Mr. Kwatch, bigfoot, does. This was packed with pop culture references, silly moments, some hot spice and longing and drama. Cat lovers will rejoice as Bailey is a cat foster and the kitties are a good part of the story (the names are phenomenal. Almost made me a cat person.) This had just enough cheesiness for that monster rom com vibe and some good spice to balance it out. Hot cheese anyone? Definitely a fun read and I really enjoyed Luna's writing.
For some reason I have a major soft spot for cozy monster office romances. People just going about their boring jobs (sometimes not even sure what they're actually doing it for...relatable!) and working with or for monsters. This one has the fun supporting characters of the wacky office mates and a very 🌶️🌶️🌶️ set of office scenes between the MMC and FMC. It's cozy -- there's not a lot of conflict -- but there are some light references to speciesism and the main character does talk a bit about dealing with fatphobia. A really quick, light enjoyable read. I'm looking forward to the sequel with the second billionaire boss, the mothman!
I haven’t read too many Bigfoot books and this was my wake up call to find more! This was such a good read, I always love when monster romances have some build up to the relationship and a cute plot to match all the spice. This had such a great balance between plot and spice, I was invested in story and relationship as well as craving the spicy scenes in between.
I loved the plot points about insecurities, of Bailey with her body and being wanted and Sacha about his appearance and humanness; it really added more depth to the couple. Overall, a super cute read with a great plot, amazing spice, great character development and fantastic build up. I can’t wait for book 2!
