pretty good introduction to finance basics that's written in a friendly manner that would entice teens or kids. In one handy bus ride, one can complete this book and learn the basic difference and risk levels for treasury bonds, certificates of deposits, investment bonds, high-yield bonds, and junk bonds, as well as the meanings of index funds, ETFs, venture capital or angel investing, and what it takes to get started.
Thank you to Netgalley and the author for the book in exchange for a review!
This book was cool - I am terrible with financial advice and I have been looking for a book that was easy enough to understand because whenever someone in my family tries to talk about money and finances it goes right over my head. This book is a phenomenal resource to have about money and finance for those who don't like talking about money. I recommend this book to teens or college students who need to know more about finances!
I am even looking at buying this book for myself - when I have the money, of course. =)
This is a very complete, easy-to-read look at many aspects of teens and money. Making money, saving it, and a LOT of information on investing it. There are many actual adults who would benefit from reading this book.
For middle school, there was perhaps too much information on investing. This would be a great book to get a high schooler to set them on a path to a successful financial future.
Why isn't the average rating for this book higher?
This book is well-written, comprehensive, and covers basically everything you need to know about your finances! All the concepts are broken down in a really clear and way. Finances are like my niche and even I feel like I learned some things.
