Hi, I’m A.L. DeRose, a contemporary romance author.
My books are full of swoon-worthy billionaires, alpha males who know exactly what they want, and smart, sassy heroines.
Expect age-gap sparks, enemies-to-lovers tension, off-limits temptation, One night stands, steamy Mafia drama and all the tropes that keep you up way past your bedtime turning pages.
Nina was a single mother, she works hard to raise her son.he is all she have .her friend Ivy always telling her that she need to go out and date. One night Nina went out for a blind date that Ivy organized for her,she waited a little,to recognized her date he was going to bring a flower with him.
Eric is a divorced man who had a daughter 26 year old the same age of Nina, and a billionaire that owns a company who he is a Ceo of it. After a day of work went into a restaurant to eat ,before he goes inside at the door there was a lady who was selling flowers and she begged him to buy a flower.
When Nina saw a man enter the restaurant with the flower she thought that he was her date so she woke from her seat to meet with him, he didnt refuse because she was an attractive woman.
This book has a very good story and good written. Believe me you should read. Absolutley one you can’t miss😉

The way that they met was unforgettable along with their night together. You just knew he was the person driving her crazy with the emails. The way he treated her in the beginning was just terrible. She is a hard working and loving person just trying to take care of her son and herself. I would love to see what the future brings them.

This was an interesting story of mistaken identity and a main couple who are complete opposites from each other. Eric Prescott is an older wealthy man. CEO of his company. Works hard and nonstop. Likes to do things his way. He is grumpy, even rude and mean. There's no softness to him. He's divorced. Has an adult daughter named Ivy, who unfortunately, doesn't have a good relationship with him. He's trying to make amends now. He was kind of hard to like. At first.
Nina Johnson is, I think 27, like her best friend Ivy. She's a hard working single Mom to Benjamin. He's 4yrs old and super adorable.😊 I do wonder why a lot of the time, that little boy wasn't with her more. He's always with the sitter or daycare. He's only 4. That didn't make sense to me. I would have liked Nina to be more of a mama bear with her child. And while waiting for her blind date one night, Nina meets Eric, thinking he's the man Ivy set her up with. Later, she ends up losing her job, thanks to grumpy Eric Prescott; Nina's an event planner
This was at times a fast read but it was a little long. I think if it had been shorter, it would have been better. The fake girlfriend trope is introduced to finally being in a fake marriage. Eric's company is facing public scrunity. Not sure over what exactly. The fake marriage is suppose to be a great cover, a distraction. But why ask Nina, a stranger, to be in a fake relationship after Eric ghosted her after a one night stand? That seemed a bit of a stretch for me.🤷🏻 They do keep it a secret from Ivy. Nina wears expensive clothes, wigs, dark glasses so Ivy doesn't recognize her in the tabloids with her Dad.😆😆 Which didn't matter since Ivy didn't know he had gotten married in the first place.🙊 Little Ben always gets left behind. Why is that? There is steam here if you're interested. Will they have a HEA once Ivy learns of their relationship? Or is over for good? Great book cover! Happy reading!!💕💕💕💕
🍾Thank you for an early book via Booksprout. This is my honest critique on the story I read.🍾
Faking It With My Best Friend's Daddy is a steamy, OTT, one night stand, grumpy-sunshine, mistaken identity, fake relationship, single mom gets her best friend's billionaire father romance. Nina is a 26 year old event planner and single mom to 4 year old Benny. Eric is a hunky, grumpy billionaire CEO and the father of Nina's best friend, Ivy. He and Ivy have an estranged relationship and are only now trying to make amends. When Ivy sets Nina up on a blind date, she tells her she will know who her date is because he will be holding a rose. Her date, unbeknownst to her, can't make it, so when Eric shows up with a rose, she approaches him. He thinks she's gorgeous and hitting on him, so he plays along. They share a hot night of passion. The next day, he is gone. When she gets to work, she is fired because of him as he is the difficult client she was emailing with but never knew his first name or met him in person. He apparently has his own PR work nightmare and proposes she poses as his wife temporarily to help with his image. He will compensate her generously. After some thought, she agrees. Of course, real feelings become involved. But what will Ivy say when she finds out? Nina still does not know he is Ivy's father. What will happen when she finds out? This book was an emotional roller-coaster ride. Eric was a sexy silver fox but also made me so angry at times. I had my own love-hate relationship with him. But the chemistry between these two was insanely hot, and we do get a happy ending after the dumpster fire Eric started is put out. This was a great, fast-paced read.

I really enjoyed the story 'Faking it with my Best friend's Daddy' by A. L. DeRose. It was a romance that not only was an age gap between the woman and man, but it also involved the woman's best friend who also happened to be the man's daughter. Nina's best friend Ivy had set Nina up on a blind date with one of Ivy's co-workers. The man was supposed to walk into the restaurant carrying a rose. He never showed up, but Ivy's father happened to walk into the restaurant carrying a rose he had just bought from a vendor outside and Nina mistook him for her blind date. When she approached Eric, he just thought he was a very lucky man to have such a beautiful woman approach him. What started off as a chance meeting soon escalates into a business agreement between the two of them to start a false relationship in order to aid his business standing and to generously compensate her where she does not have to worry about providing for her young son. It soon becomes a fiasco when they both realize who Ivy is to each of them. They agree to keep to their agreement but by hiding Nina's identity so that Ivy would not find out. It was a very interesting tale and well worth the read.

Eric & Nina's story was a great read. It starts with a steaming one night stand that rocks this single mum's world. The morning after is a whole different thing as she learns that he wasn't her blind date. To add insult to injury when she gets to work she's fired & the client who caused it is her one night stand. His solution to her jobless state is that they fake marriage as he needs the good PR. This single mum needs the money so she agrees. Can they keep it professional or will they give in to the desire that still burns between them? Will they get a HEA?.

Nina goes on a blind date set up by her best friend Ivy but ends up with Eric, Ivy's dad, instead. This causes all kinds of trouble for all three of them with Ivy being upset with both Nina and her dad, Nina being upset with Eric, and Eric being upset with Nina. On top of all this, Nina no longer has a job and is having problems with her son's absent father. This story has laughter, heartache, romance, and steam, ending in a HEA. Very highly recommended.

When Nina is fired from her job, she has no idea that the person behind it was her blind date. When they connect again Eric is in the midst of a scandal and needs a PR situation to take the heat of and comes up with one that is beneficial to both of them. What Nina didn't now at the time what becoming Eric's fake wife would cost her. Will she and Eric survive the storm coming their way?.

This was one of those reads that you had to continue until the end. Half way through it started getting interesting. What started as a blind date ended as a mistaken identity. Single mom, Nina was being set up again by her best friend on a blind date. Coincidences and complications started happening. Loved it great read.

Faking it with My Best Friend's Daddy is Nina and Eric's story and not what I was expecting. A very steamy read that had me turning the pages to see what would happen next. There was a lot of steaminess, miscommunication and mistaken identity in this age-gap romance that seemed a little long once I finally got to the end.

A bumpy yet sensual ride filled with fortunate happenstances. As the main female character navigates through life's twists and turns, they find unexpected lessons. The main male character has profound regrets about his daughter after interactions with a young boy. Moments of reflection and introspection reveal the complexities of fate, love, and the inevitable lessons learned along the way.
This book is not only way better than any other book, but it also will keep you turning the pages to find out how everything works out in the long run. So, sit back relax and enjoy reading this really good book A.L. has for us.
