In this uproarious romantic comedy, Eliza Bolt delights readers with witty banter, laugh-until-you-cry moments, and a heartwarming story of love, loss, and forgiveness.
I’m a full-time mom, wife, and 9-5 employee who spends any spare time I can scrounge together on books. It doesn’t matter if I’m the one writing them or reading them, I love every part of it. Thank you to each of you who has read my work! If I can provide even just one person with the solace and peace that books bring to me, I will consider myself successful!
This book was hilarious! I was worried when I realized this was written in first person as I have not had much luck with first-person books. I loved nearly every second reading this. Occasionally, I read this at work in-between customers and would randomly burst into laughter. Or I had such huge grins on my face that customers thought I was excited to see them! When you get a chance to read this, and you're in the mood for a romantic comedy, pick this one up!
First of all - thanks Eliza Bolt for providing arc version of this book. Reading it was a magnificent experience which I enjoyed very much. It’s fun, cool and cozy love story which shows us that love could be far more close than you expected and maybe you need to kiss a few frogs before you will meet the prince 😊
Charley is such a cute, funny and quirky main character - one I could relate to. She is on the hunt for love and won't settle for less! (She reminded me a lot of Gigi from the movie "He's just not that into you")
This story grips you by the heartstrings. & The author has a way of stripping the reader down to their humanity and giving us "laugh out loud" comedy that most of us could relate to.
Great story, and a quick, lighthearted, fun read if you are between a series or just need a cute pick me up story.

"...I'm floating on cloud nine and logic can't reach me there."
Lighthearted unputdownable romance, and I really do mean unputdownable. I absolutely loved Charley’s character and found her very relatable, which I personally love in a book. The story flowed great, and I was hooked right from the start, so much so that I read the book in just over a day, the only reason I didn’t finish it sooner is because I had to work Can not wait for this to be available in paperback so I can add it to my reread shelf on my bookcase 🥰
[ARC Review] This book was such an easy read for me, and such a good palette cleanser. I have been reading a series and I took a break from it to read this, and I am not disappointed! I laughed, cried, and smiled throughout the whole entire book! I loved the main characters and their love story. I especially loved Charley and all of her quirks! I am obsessed with books like this, and Eliza Bolt did such a great job!
Love love love!! I loved everything about this book from the storyline to every single one of the characters. Charley and Millie are the ultimate duo. Eliza of course did a great job pulling you in with this one! I most definitely recommend!
This was such a cute story! I absolutely love Charley, she is such a fun character. I also love that the MMC had a lot of developmental growth throughout the story. Definitely check this book out and give it a read, I wish there was a story on how Millie and Todd met now :)
If you are looking for a fun quick read to get you out of that reading slump, this is it! this book will have you laughing and smiling the whole time. Charley's story truly is one of a kind and while you're hoping she does find love ..... you're also cracking up each time she doesn't 🤣 ♥️
Read this book as an ARC and really loved it. The main character Charley is super relatable and I really enjoyed reading this funny and heart warming romance. This was a book that was difficult to put down!
Such a cute story about a girl falling in love with her best friend's oldest brother. He has some trauma he has to overcome but once he does, it's all over. Loved it!
Gotta Kiss a Few Frogs is such a fun, cute love story. It took me no time to finish, as I definitely wanted to see how things played out. Charley was so relatable, making the story more intriguing. Good read!
I was really blown away by this adorable romantic comedy! I loved its steam and banter, with all Charley's hilarious adventures.. And Emmett sounds absolutely yummy!
It is such a cute narrative on all the “frogs” before she finally got her prince. Loved the banter between the characters too. Charley is just so dang adorable and I am glad she finally got her prince to realize he could love again, and glad Emmett finally accepted that he could too.
This was so freaking cute! Charley and Emmett’s story was the cutest and funniest. She runs a love blog and is desperate to find her Prince Charming before she turns 30. That brings on some hilarious and relatable dating moments! Cue the not so meet cute between her and her best friends brother! He’s closed off due to losing love before and she’s sure he’s the one! He gives her 5 dates to change her mind. More hilarious dating moments occur and it’s like these two won’t make it work but you sure are cheering for them! The heavy tones of trying to love after loss really resonated with me as I lost someone at an early age. The growth and character building is done well and all the main characters are so lovable. I laughed and giggled thru most of this but I also got choked up at times and I just love when books bring out all the feels. I highly recommend! Ty Eliza Bolt for this ARC. Will definitely be checking out more from this author. ✨QOTD✨ Did you give yourself a timeline on which you wanted to settle down by?
Gotta Kiss a Few Frogs by Eliza Bolt is the story of Charley who writes a romance blog and longs for her own Prince Charming. She gets on dates and those dates are really hilarious. I could just see it all in my mind. The writing style is flowing, lighthearted and while reading this book I smiled a lot.
Charley is a wonderful character, she is outgoing, maybe a bit naive and looking for a love of her own. When she meets The One he does not feel the same way, and that made for great reading. She and the MMC have a great chemistry, even if they don’t see eye to eye. Near the end there was this swoony romantic part and I just loved that so much!
Eilza Bolt has written a lovely cozy fun and easy to read book, filled with humor and drama, with an adorable FMC you can relate to, with a great story-line, and it is such a romantic story. I was constantly rooting for Charley to find her love.
If you want to read a super cute, sweet and romantic story, this is the book.
The dreaded dead ex on a pedestal... I avoid this shit like the plague but it came out of nowhere! Not in the blurb or the raving reviews. This was supposed to be a rom com ffs!
MMC is her best friend's brother. His wife died in 2008 and he joined the army immediately after and never really came home. So now he's back, and the grief is kicking him the in pants. He spends more time and feelings on his dead ex and how broken he has felt ever since than on the FMC. In fact, he doesn't plan on being in another relationship and makes that pretty clear to nosy townspeople.
Here's the thing... I don't like being tricked or surprised or "oops, we thought you'd find this book hilarious as the FMC fumbles her way thru dating whilst the MMC is mostly off-page, lost in his grief"
Charley is looking for love and Emmitt was to keep it away. With her 30th birthday in the near future, Charley sets-up her love board and her experience as a romance blogger to go looking for love. Unfortunately, she goes on a long string of trash dates and keeps getting saved by Emmitt, her best friend’s brother. Emmitt is a military man who left town to run away from his past. Being home brings up memories he’d rather stay buried.
Cute clean romance (with some language) just what I needed to cleanse my palette from all of the fantasy I’ve been reading lately. Easy to follow story line with dual point of view.
Cute, romantic story that had me laughing out loud.
Charley is determined to find love by her 30th birthday. She decides to try online dating. The dates are disastrous and hilarious. Unfortunately, the same man, Emmitt, seem to keep catching her at her embarrassing and worst moments. Emmitt is her best friend’s brother who is home after a long absence. He is the not so typical brooding male with a heart-breaking history and is avoiding love or getting close to anyone.
This story was pure entertainment. It’s a cute, romantic, funny story. This is the first story I’ve read by this author and won’t be the last. I really enjoyed this from beginning to end.
*sigh* I abhor writing negative reviews of books that authors put their heart and soul into, but I am going to be completely honest about my thoughts on Gotta Kiss A Few Frogs.
The main character of Gotta Kiss A Few Frogs is Charlotte (aka Charley), a 29-year-old, love advice online blogger. A hopeless romantic struggling to find a genuine relationship in a superficial modern dating world, Charley enlists the help of her friend Millie to find love before she turns 30. In comes Millie’s brother returning from the military: Emmett, who is eight years older than Charley. Back in his hometown, Emmett is faced with his grief/remorse over the death of his late wife. He does not believe in love until Charley literally stumbles into his life, thrusting him into a journey of forgiveness/healing.
On the positive side, Charley and Millie’s relationship is so heartwarming and Millie, in particular, is such a supportive friend. <3 Whereas I loved Millie’s character, I felt that Emmett was one-dimensional. I dare say boring despite his traumatic experiences, also his relationship with Charley seemed purely physical, for example, the yoga date (ick).
As someone who does not believe in romantic love and is awfully cynical, I think it’s ludicrous that Charley thought that Emmett would be open to love after five measly dates with her. I’m even more gobsmacked that her plan worked! I realize that this book is fiction, but I could not root for them to be together since Emmett was burdened by so much inner turmoil. When it comes to heartbreaking romance books as well as movies/tv shows where characters have to overcome obstacles to be together, I rarely feel like love is worth fighting for. Unfortunately, Gotta Kiss A Few Frogs falls into that category as it did not elicit emotions from me besides boredom.
I must say, I despise how society as a whole acts like people cannot live joyful, fulfilling lives w/o a romantic relationship. This book pushes this idea with all of the secondary characters nagging Emmett to find love again. I appreciate the themes of forgiveness/healing, yet Gotta Kiss A Few Frogs, a contemporary romance book with minimal swearing and no spice beyond tension/kisses, is a novel I wouldn’t recommend reading for the aforementioned reasons. :/
Ok I didn't expect this to be such a cute story! First of all, the dating website and men she met ugh I couldn't do that! But it's so real to how it is now a days! But the way they start to like each other and fall for each other is so cute! I can relate so much to the FMC that I understand where she comes from with a lot of the ways she explains how it's like with her best friend and life. Give this book a read! It's so good!
This is an adorable and cozy love story that I throughly enjoyed. Charley a love and romance obsessed blogger trying to find her prince while all she ends up meeting are frogs. Enter a damaged but otherwise perfect Prince Charming who doesn’t believe in love. And there we have a perfect love story. I did have to take away a star because I was raging mad that Charley did not publicly shame a few of her frog dates. They deserved a tongue lashing and a whack with a purse. Hmpf.
Honestly knew from the synopsis that this would be a cute read little did I know just how freaking amazing this book would be. In had me laughing and giggling and even tearing up. If you are looking for a short feel good rom-com I 100% think this is the book for you. The chemistry was perfect the friendships were real and the whole plot was worth it and relatable in so many ways.
Charley the MFC is super cute and feisty. She is out to find love by her 30th birthday. But she has to go out with a few frogs before finding Prince Charming. Little does she know her Prince Charming has been hurt by love before and may not be attainable. Can she convince him to give love another shot?
Super quick cute read filled with laughter and some tears. Highly recommend.
This was a very cute story with a fun, quirky main character! I really enjoyed Charley and seeing things from her perspective. She was likeable right off the bat and frequently made me laugh. The whole premise of this book was entertaining and I had fun through every second of it!
Stop it right now!!! This book is so freaking cute! It’s like the childhood fairytale book of my dreams but modern and for adults! This book is hilarious and adorable and swoon worthy!
