Maybe using one or two or maybe even three different strategies for one situation/behavior is what you need, and this book can help with that.

Solid guide

This book will give you practical ways to handle your child outbursts. The advice is clear and easy to follow with real examples that I could relate. I found the sections on spotting triggers and using calm and steady responses super helpful for the situations I usually go through. I have to say that a few points are repeated, but I guess that is a good thing, so you don’t forget? Overall, a solid guide for parents who need help.

I think this book is great. The author clearly knows what she writes about, and the strategies for dealing with an explosive child make a lot of sense. Empathy is the key to dealing with OCD, ADHD, and ODD children.
