When the shadows rise, blood, magic and betrayal will decide who survives…
Shadows consume the edges of Yundala as Nessa, Savii and their friends feel its grip tightening – even within the fragile safety of the Keep. Nessa reluctantly begins weapons training. She fears her powers—not for what they can do, but for what they demand. Meanwhile, Savii is overwhelmed by strange new abilities that surface without warning and leave her questioning her reality. The prophecy stirs… Far from the Keep, a runaway prince leaves the capital—desperate to atone and face the cursed brother that he betrayed. Peace slips further from reach as new conflicts arise, each one more sinister than the last. To survive, the sisters and their counterparts must confront their old selves. Loyalties will break. Love may not save them. And destiny—once set in motion—is merciless. The fate of Yundala hangs in the balance.
I loved the fated mates trope in this book. Especially when your fated mate is someone you've never dreamed of! It gave "love is love". There was a hint of LGBT there and I loved it! 5 stars hands down! I am all over the place with this but just know that this series is fire and I can't wait to read the Destiny:Forsaken. So if you're reading this review because your thinking about starting this one, DO IT! You will not be disappointed. I went through so many emotions! I pray that my girl gets everything she deserves.
When I started this book and saw what was happening for everybody, I thought my favorite character would be included in that but nope! That's ok. The next book will probably be her story/journey.
