When the banking incident turns out to be a tiny bit more serious than I imagined, things get complicated. But by then I’ve already cashed in my V-card with the sexy billionaire and made a run for it—or at least tried to.

I gave this a chance, but reading his POV that he was trying to avoid not just his ex-gf who happens to be the wedding planner, but also the WOMEN he hooked up with in the past and never called was too much of an ick.
It turns out the bride played matchmaker and had set dates for him before, and some of the women she matched will also be attending the wedding. Yeah, one ex-gf and probably multiple past hookups were too much for me. 🙅♀️
I'm definitely not the intended audience for this, but I hope it works for other readers.

Billionaire Grump is book two in the New York Billionaires series by Julie Capulet. In the first book, we met Cash Maddox. Now in this one, we get to meet the grumpiest of all four of the Maddox brothers, Alexander.
Alexander ‘Alex’ Maddox is twenty nine years old, is the oldest of the Maddox brothers, and is the CEO of his family’s legacy investment empire, Maddox Enterprises. Maddox spends all of his waking hours working. He has no interest in dating. When the need arises, it’s a one night and never again thing. The couple of times he has tried to actually be in a relationship, they were complete disasters. Such as dating New York’s most prominent wedding planner for six weeks. It was a nightmare, and long after he ended it, she just won’t let go. She can’t take no for an answer. Now, one of Alex’s closest friends is getting married in the Hamptons. Alex is best man. But just take a guess who the wedding planner is? Yes, you would be correct. Plus the fact that Alex can’t go anywhere without every socialite looking at him and seeing dollar signs and throwing themselves at him. I knew going in that I was going to get exactly just what I needed from this book. Julie writes the best alpha, over the top, possessive heroes. And Alex did not disappoint. His entire life he was groomed to take over Maddox Enterprises. He has never allowed himself to focus on anything else but work. Until her. He is in instant lust and maybe even instant love. He’s having trouble understanding what is happening to him but just knows he has no choice but to go with it. Because suddenly, nothing else matters but her. And Alex always gets what he wants.
Ivy’s only focus has been on raising her brother. Everything she does revolves around him. She can’t let herself fall for Alex, even if he does say and do all the right things. Everyone good in her life has left her and she just knows that Alex will be no different. But, maybe, just for the weekend, she can let down her guard and enjoy herself. Let herself have new experiences and yes, even fall a little bit for the sexy, grumpy billionaire. But when Sunday comes, she’ll return to her apartment and to the life she has built for herself.

I loved this one, just as I did the first book. I loved seeing Alex finally allow himself some happiness. His obsession with Ivy was so much fun to watch. I adore watching these men become so confused with the way they are feeling. They have no idea what is happening or what to do. Ivy broke my heart a little bit. She’s never been anyone’s priority, ever. And she struggles so much to let herself believe that this might be real. These two together were perfect, so sweet and so darn sexy. I love these Maddox men and now I can’t wait to see who falls next!

As you all know for the past couple of weeks i review a bad book. SO WHEN I SAW THIS BOOK I IMMEDIATELY JUST GO GET IT! I didn’t ask for a ARC when i can because i was in a hurry to get this for myself 😅🙏🏼😆 Which I’m very happy about because this author never disappoint me… And as always this book is freakin romantic! It’s what i need!!!!
This series of the book is my favorite! I love every single thing!
If you read a bad book then read this one because it will immediately heal you. That’s what i always do when i read a bad book or truly bad romance, i go for safe authors that writes safe love story that is so romantic ☺️☺️

So this story from the beginning till the end is not boring at all… It’s very romantic and INSTANT LOVE. All that jazz of love at first sight and romantic till the end and the hero will do everything to be with the hero, THIS IS THE BOOK! THIS IS THE STORY!
I don’t know about you but for me this love story is my type of love story that I immediately have to read!
And the best part of this love story IT’S SAFE. Safe all the way! 😌😌😌

The story starts with the hero have to go to his best friend’s wedding and be the best man. But he was having a bit of problem on going to the wedding, because the wedding planner is a famous wedding planner aka his ex girlfriend that he dated couple months ago for only six months. The ex is a bit childish and crazy woman but not too much tho. The ex wants him back and keep on texting him still to have her back but he said no every single time. He never feel anything towards the ex and never take her seriously so he broke up with her. She still wants him but he doesn’t and always declined her… He needs a date or fake girlfriend to go to this wedding so the ex can see and really back off…
One of his secretary name cleo offers her best friend to him that she thinks it’s perfect to be the fake girlfriend.. At first he was hesitate because it felt too much but the secretary insist and even his brothers insist on him to go on with it because it’s just a fake girlfriend that he can pay…
So he agrees with it and offers a lot of money to the fake girlfriend to be his date on this wedding. The sectary contact her best friend and meet up with her to tell her about the deal with the hero. The best friend agreed with it… The best friend is the heroine.
The heroine then meet the hero who is actually waiting for her on a helipad (very fifty shades of grey scene but sooo romantic) and they meet for the first time….
That day changed forever.
The hero immediately wants her more than anything and will do everything to have her…

He used to do one night stands couple of times but the way he saying shows that it doesn’t happened a lot and his very picky about it and not needy… The hero is actually very wise and smart tho, wise for his age and not childish. The heroine is a singer and also a influencer, but thankfully we only see her doing the influencer thing like two times. Not more and not cringy tho. She definitely not a attention seeker and not snob tho… Thank goodness.
The heroine have a bit of PTSD with her family situation and have some issues with her father but not too much and not too crazy… The heroine is also a bit of famous singer! She plays the guitar like a pro! She’s also very humbled and kind about it which is the best…

Other drama is with the family from the heroine… so the drama in here is less!!!!

Only the hero like one time…
‼️‼️‼️IT HAS them talking about the hero’s ex girlfriend but only three times and it was short. And the heroine talks about her ex boyfriend from high school just one time…
‼️‼️‼️THE HERO IS UTTERLY OBSESSED WITH THE HEROINE SOOOO MUCH! From the first glance he just really knows she’s the one for him that he was waiting for… Even before they got serious with the relationship, the hero already planned a surprise trip to another country that the heroine wants to go. He literally go above and beyond with the heroine which is super romantic! And he never done this before! Only with the heroine… And forever her… When things got serious immediately because the hero really wants to make her his forever, he buy her more gifts and wants her to move in with him immediately… He helped her so much with other things. And the best part is that the heroine loves it and okay with it, she’s not being difficult about it and stubborn. Like phew thank goodness for that because I can’t stand with a difficult heroine who doesn’t know how to accept the help 😆 The hero is always thinking about the heroine, he always wants to pleasure her and wants to provide anything she wants… Like it’s insanely beautiful and romantic to see the hero is soooo obsessed with the heroine…
I love that when they go on acting with the whole PDA thing in the wedding, they immediately went more with it. Like immediately sooo PDA 😆 And turns into real thing 🔥
And everything seems so easy with them in the beginning… Both of them talking about personal things like family and friends are so easy… No holding back. When the hero saw the heroine’s talent of singing like he is sooo impressed with her ❤️❤️ The way his friends even non stop complement the hero for having the heroine as his fake girlfriend then real girlfriend it was so amusing to see that… We need this positivity!

Types of book that I’m looking for: SAFE, safe all the way from the beginning till the end🥵 No cheating, no unnecessary childish drama. Not too much OW DRAMA cause they are loud and annoying lol. NO to still having feelings about a ex especially wants go get back together tf no. NO to friends with benefits and still seeing other people type of sh*t. NO to hero or heroine who said i love you and have been obsessed but still likes to fvck around yeah big NO to that sh*t. I preferred the characters are loyal to the core, over the top possessive heroes since the beginning and never stops, main characters have unique jobs or talents, the hero adores and obsessed with the heroine so much, the hero fell harder for the heroine and don’t want let her go and fight for her. And most importantly EPILOGUE AND ESPECIALLY THE DECADES LATER SCENE…. HAPPY ENDING IS A MUST. Chemistry is a must too 🙏🏼

The story starts with the hero have to go to his best friend’s wedding and be the best man. But he was having a bit of problem on going to the wedding, because the wedding planner is a famous wedding planner aka his ex girlfriend that he dated couple months ago for only six months. The ex is a bit childish and crazy woman but not too much tho. The ex wants him back and keep on texting him still to have her back but he said no every single time. He never feel anything towards the ex and never take her seriously so he broke up with her. She still wants him but he doesn’t and always declined her… He needs a date or fake girlfriend to go to this wedding so the ex can see and really back off…
One of his secretary name cleo offers her best friend to him that she thinks it’s perfect to be the fake girlfriend.. At first he was hesitate because it felt too much but the secretary insist and even his brothers insist on him to go on with it because it’s just a fake girlfriend that he can pay…
So he agrees with it and offers a lot of money to the fake girlfriend to be his date on this wedding. The sectary contact her best friend and meet up with her to tell her about the deal with the hero. The best friend agreed with it… The best friend is the heroine.
The heroine then meet the hero who is actually waiting for her on a helipad (very fifty shades of grey scene but sooo romantic) and they meet for the first time….

5 Star Review of Billionaire Grump (New York Billionaires #2) by Julie Capulet
Julie Capulet is a relatively new author to me, and I am surprised I have not read more from this author. Billionaire Grump was a well written, entertaining story that drew me in from the first chapter.
When Alexander ((Alex) Maddox needs a fake date to keep the ladies away, he turns to Ivy Laine to play the part. The only issue is that from the moment he sees her, he wants her. Ivy is more focused on raising her younger brother.
The chemistry between these two was intense. I really felt for Ivy as life had not been easy. There were one or two little surprises that just added to the entertainment.
The characters were easy to relate too and I found myself quickly invested in the story that Ms. Capulet wove.

Well as I always say I’ll forever be a JC reader. Alexander is my MAN. He has my whole heart. Grump turned into a huge softie and teddybear for the heroine? SIGN ME UP!!! I also liked how Ivy wasn’t privileged but actually had to work hard to achieve things in her life. THE SPICE THOOO WOWWWWW 🥵🥵🥵 Julie never disappoints with the spice!!!! Our Ivy is one talented girl. She's a musician, an amazing singer and also a social media personality. It was awe inspiring the way she has carved out a career for herself but also has always been taking care of her family, her brother.
I liked how we have a certain something happen at the start of the story that's kept on the backburner, so you know that it's going to come sometime in the future to bite back in the a$$.
The Grump, Mr. Alexander Maddox is the eldest son and the CEO of Maddox enterprises. He's used to being the one in command and doesn't lose no matter what as he has always been made ready to take rein of his legacy.
An effort of accidental match making and actually wanting to get rid of the clingy ex once and for all, who also happens to be the wedding planner for the wedding of his bestie - as a last ditch effort Alexander finds himself with a fake date with our glamourous Ivy.
Ooohhh... I loved seeing how Cleo, the bestie convinces Ivy and just that whole thing was so much fun to witness.

Our Ivy is one talented girl. She's a musician, an amazing singer and also a social media personality. It was awe inspiring the way she has carved out a career for herself but also has always been taking care of her family, her brother.
I liked how we have a certain something happen at the start of the story that's kept on the backburner, so you know that it's going to come sometime in the future to bite back in the a$$.
The Grump, Mr. Alexander Maddox is the eldest son and the CEO of Maddox enterprises. He's used to being the one in command and doesn't lose no matter what as he has always been made ready to take rein of his legacy.
An effort of accidental match making and actually wanting to get rid of the clingy ex once and for all, who also happens to be the wedding planner for the wedding of his bestie - as a last ditch effort Alexander finds himself with a fake date with our glamourous Ivy.
Ooohhh... I loved seeing how Cleo, the bestie convinces Ivy and just that whole thing was so much fun to witness.

The girl is like something out of my wildest fantasies. And I don't have fantasies. Until the minute that cute-hot little goddess stepped through that door and into my world, I only did reality. 24/7. Every minute of my goddamn life. Fuck reality. I'm sick to death of reality.
This book is ridiculous. You have your grumpy, sexy, lonely billionaire who needs a fake date for a wedding weekend in the Hamptons to keep his crazy ex away. Throw in the kind-hearted hot-as-hell virgin, and he's immediatley done. One look, and they are madly in love. Of course, their chemistry is also insane, so the usually totally controlled guy has a permanent hard-on and she's dripping with lust. She even feels like coming just by looking at him.
Everything is totally over the top. The love, the sex scenes, the main characters. The pacing is crazy and that's no surprise since the story only covers five days (after their first meeting). There is absolutely no depth to the story or the characters, the book is 45% sex scenes, 25% her swooning over him, 25% him swooning over her, 5% stuff. The funny thing is, it works somehow and it was quite entertaining.
So who cares about reality? Who cares if Alexander throws himself and his money at Ivy in a blink? Who cares if he talks about her moving in with him, getting married, and having babies on day two already? Who cares if he is a possessive, bossy, jealous control freak and a caveman? Honestly, I have no idea why I don't hate him. I usually despise these alphamen, but he's kind of sweet and adorable and devoted. And he's exactly what the FMC needs after taking care of her brother for many years, she's finally found someone who has her back. It's easy to root for these two and their fairytale.
I'm not sure if I'll meet with one of Alexander's brothers, but I might when I'm looking for a quick and easy read.

This book follows Ivy and Alexander, fake dating isnt really my go-to but this one felt less fake-date because they were both very smitten the moment they saw eachother, it was really more of a blind date situation as Alex needed a date for a wedding and Ivy was a friend of a friend.
I LOVED how instantly soft Alex was for Ivy. He was all in from the start. He was jealous and possessive, and a little bit of a caveman, great book boyfriend material.
Ivy was fun, feisty but also really sweet, shes been working hard to provide a good life for her teenage brother after their mother passed. She was happy to make some extra money by accepting a platonic fake wedding date situation to help pay for her brother's college.
They both hit it off instantly, and the burning embers of interest quickly turned into molten heat. It's not very often that books make my cheeks burn hot these days, but this one was 😘👌🏼🥵
Julie Capulet's books are great reads for a lazy weekend, lower on the angst scale, safe reading, no cheating, guaranteed HEA, likable characters, and hot as hell Hero's.

This is book two in an interconnected series about the four Maddox brothers. It can be read as a standalone and ends with a HEA. It is written in first person from an alternating dual POV.
Alexander is the oldest Maddox brother at 29, and notably the grumpiest. He has devoted his life to maintaining and growing the legacy of the family company. As the fourth generation CEO, he has a lot of pressure on his shoulders and not a lot of time to think of his own desires or needs. When he agrees to a fake date for a friends’ wedding weekend in the Hamptons, he never expects it to change his priorities or the course of his life. Ivy (23) is a semi-famous singer/songwriter and influencer who agrees to be the fake date just to get out of town for the weekend. The cash doesn’t hurt either. Carrying a ton of daddy and abandonment issues, Alex has his work cut out for him to convince her that forever is a possibility.
I adored the instant attraction they felt toward each other. They are like magnets unable to resist each other’s pull. Alexander’s possessive and protective instincts are intense. I loved “Billionaire Grump” as much as I’ve loved all her books. If a book comes out by this author, I’m purchasing ASAP. I definitely recommend this book

5 Star Review of Billionaire Grump (New York Billionaires #2) by Julie Capulet
Julie Capulet is a relatively new author to me, and I am surprised I have not read more from this author. Billionaire Grump was a well written, entertaining story that drew me in from the first chapter.
When Alexander ((Alex) Maddox needs a fake date to keep the ladies away, he turns to Ivy Laine to play the part. The only issue is that from the moment he sees her, he wants her. Ivy is more focused on raising her younger brother.
The chemistry between these two was intense. I really felt for Ivy as life had not been easy. There were one or two little surprises that just added to the entertainment.
The characters were easy to relate too and I found myself quickly invested in the story that Ms. Capulet wove.

I’ve gotta say, prepare yourself for the steam because this story is HOT!!! In the absolute best way.
Instalove, sunshine-grump and fake relationship tropes pump up the jam in this surprisingly heartfelt and sweet steamboat of a book. Ivy and Alex are so guarded and strong. Both of them had to be. But they’re also both lonely and caught in their circumstances. After meeting in the unusual circumstances of portraying a fake relationship, they quickly evolve into a steamy affair and eventually into a real relationship.
Julie Capulet has such an easy way of writing and engages us readers easily and swiftly, whilst at the same time offering us something real.
The bad guys of course get what they deserve and our Hh’s get their HEA.
Escape your dreary reality with this little gem!.

This was a ridiculously fast insta love (like over a weekend) but who cares! It’s called fiction for a reason, just go with it and enjoy the ride. Love this series and this author, she really knows how to make you fall for her very sexy, hot hero’s. Fantasy at its best.

Argumento:

Cuando el incidente bancario resulta ser un poco más serio de lo que imaginaba, las cosas se complican. Pero para entonces ya he cobrado mi virginidad con el sexy multimillonario y he salido corriendo, o al menos lo he intentado.
¿Cómo me meto en estos líos? ¿Y cómo dejé que me embarazara un gruñón posesivo que de repente parece pensar que soy su única e inseparable?
Contra todo pronóstico, creo que podría tener razón.
Mi humilde opinión:
Romance con amor a primera vista, relación falsa, diferencia de edad, héroe billonario, heroína independiente.
No podía esperar otra cosa de un Maddox, estos hermanos cuando caen lo hacen fuerte. Alex es OTT pero me encantó lo alfa protector y obsesivo que era con Ivy, ella se merecía un hombre que la adore y valore de todas las maneras. Él es el hermano mayor serio y responsable que tomó el lugar de su padre, un hombre duro pero él no quiere seguir sus pasos. Cuando más conocía a Alex más me daba cuenta que era un hombre sensible, leal y con corazón. Me causaba mucha gracia las interacciones con los otros hermanos con personalidades diferentes.
Ivy era una mujer valiente, se hizo cargo de su hermano cuando sus padres no lo hicieron. Los que debían amarla la abandonaron y por eso le costó creer las intenciones de Alex. Me pareció bien que no cedió de inmediato, luchó un poco pero al final valió la pena.
La historia de amor estos dos es increíble y exagerada pero también romántica, sexy y dulce, lo más importante sin dramas innecesarios. Es un insta con intensa pasión y con un buen desarrollo de la relación.
Me pareció que Josh necesitó algún escarmiento porque dejó a la hermana con un lío en manos y se marchó. No devolvió el dinero y todo recayó en Ivy. De todas maneras se resuelve bien al final.
Me faltó un epílogo a futuro! Me dejó con ganas de más Ivy y Alex. Amo los Instalove de esta autora y no puedo esperar a leer los libros de los otros dos hermanos.

I received a digital Beta copy of this book. I love Julie’s books and was so excited when she offered me a chance to be a Beta reader for this book! This is book 2 in the series and could technically be read as a stand alone, but book 1 is also SO GOOD, and the main character in the first book is the brother of the main character in this book. Some details might change between my reading and the final copy, and I don’t give spoilers…but here are a few details. If you’ve read any of Julie’s other books, this one is spicy as well. There is a couple spoilers currently in the prologue page, so if you don’t want spoilers, skip that. Alexander is the CEO of his family’s company, he’s busy and doesn’t have time for relationships. He is a groomsman in a wedding, but there’s a huge problem, his ex is the wedding planner. She still won’t accept things are over. His brothers decide he should hire someone to pretend to be his girlfriend to keep his ex away. Ivy is busy taking care of her younger brother, and is semi-famous, so she also is single. Which is why his brother’s assistant talks her into accepting the gig as fake girlfriend. I read this book in a few hours. I did not want to put it down. Honestly, I wish there were more chapters, because I couldn’t get enough! Definitely get the bonus epilogue so you get more of the story. And now we wait for book 3 in the series!

Thank goodness for stories like Ivy and Alexander’s. I haven’t read a romance this well done in so very long. It had everything I love. It had a hero who is relentlessly and unapologetically obsessed with the heroine. It has fantastic side characters that make you excited and hopeful for their stories. It has steamy scenes that are not only spicy but have you feeling the insane connection between these two leads. And most of all it has just a beautiful romantic ending that leaves you so very happy. I have fallen in love with this author and am so excited for what is next!
