The ninth book in D. Williams' MorningStar MC: Reno Chapter series is King. It's a second-chance pregnancy romance between a biker and a mafia queen. This book gets pretty dark and has strong triggers so if that's not something you like this book isn't for you. I'd also suggest reading the series in order to know where this love story started and fell apart.
King is next in line to become the national prez of the MorningStar MC, being raised for it his entire life. Following his father's footsteps he went into the military with his brothers and an enemy got their hands on them. King and his squad were p.o.w.s. that thankfully got rescued by the MC. It's been hinted what happened to King while being a prisoner and now we get the full dark picture. It takes Gianna leaving to make him realize he needed to work on himself and the push to finally do it.
Gianna knows King will never feel like the man he is while Baez is still alive. Leaving and going to avenge her love doesn't go as planned when she learns King is interfering in her business. When she finally came home and shed some blood (thanks to pregnancy hormones) it was time to get things back on track. They have a baby on the way, a mafia to lead, an MC to take over, and revenge to get.
I gave this a 4-star rating and a 4-spicy rating. Gianna is such a badass woman you can't help but love her. She doesn't back down from anyone and knows how to get what she wants. The only disappointment that I had with this book is how quickly it was over. I picked it up and didn't put it down til it was done and I just wanted more. I can't wait to see what is next to come from this series.

Oh my gosh this was a phenomenal book and with an unusual story line which made it all the more intriguing and very enjoyable. The characters was perfectly put together and the story really flowed so effortlessly which led to me reading it in one day. D. Williams certainly know how to keep her readers sucked in with the story line.

Normally I would tell you to read all the previous stories as these flow from one to the other, but I have read all the previous stories and I even reread Glitch before this as a refresher and was still a bit lost, I felt like I have missed a book about Gianna and Lucas/King getting together. I know there were mentions here and there, but we start this, and Gianna is now pregnant, so there was a LOT that happened behind the scenes. As usual with this series, we get a bit of drama, danger, violence, a few laughs, and a good naughty moment or two. I just wish we had gotten more, I give this 4 stars.

This is the 9th book in this impressive series, and this is Lucas / King and his queen Gianna’s story.
King has been groomed to take over his MC since birth, but after serving his country, he comes back a shell of the man he used to be, but he is determined to find his queen.
This is a well written action packed emotionally charged story, which has family, friendships, challenges, humor, witty banter, healing, undeniable chemistry, romance, and love, which leads to an entertaining, unpredictable, twisted, and spicy addictive page turner.
I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

It will help your understanding of the book if you read Gianna first.
I have been waiting for this book for awhile. I've hated seeing King be half the man he used to be when he came back injured. Then seeing how he sent Gianna away. She proved she was the Queen to his King. Fighting his battles behind the scenes for him made me love her even more. Once he came to terms with himself and what happened he went looking for his Queen and when she returns it is explosive!.

Loved Lucas since he was born and couldn't wait until he was the President. His growth throughout the series has led us this point. Throughout his struggles and then when he is able to be with his Queen.
She is totally an equal to him and makes him work for every reward that he finds. Together they will grow and become even stronger and love their little one, another little surprise.
Action that brings in the rest of the MC including everyone's "fav" Axel. He never lets anyone forget who is the master.

I felt like I was missing something… The storyline just didn’t seem to flow like the others in the previous books. I’ve read all of her previous books of the series, and I still felt a bit lost. I mean, Gianna and King were mentioned together, and then bam she starts off pregnant. Obviously there’s a lot going on behind the scenes. I wish there was more of them as a couple. But overall lovely book and I would recommend it.

The King and Queen
Lucas has come to terms on what has happened to him so now he’s ready to get his pregnant queen back where she belongs. When your queen is a mafia princess you know she is going to be strong, and a little unhinged, person to deal with.
With an MC and the mafia coming together you know things are going to be crazy. This author gave me action, steam and humor that made this a one sit read book.

A blend of MC and mafia. A reunion. I liked Gianna's strength, no nonsense, and willingness to take on anyone herself. King knew what he wanted and was patient. His love for Gianna was there to be seen from the beginning and through all the dangers coming at them. He finally realized that he could not solve all his problems on his own. I also enjoyed the closeness and teasing within the MC itself.

A very good book. I can’t say great because I was a little lost. I felt like I needed a little more back story with these two. I know we’ve read them in other stories but it would’ve been nice to have a little more of theirs. Don’t get me wrong! It’s still a really good book. Still enjoyed it and look forward to the next book!

This was an interesting story. It had you guessing what happened to King. I couldn't put the book down once I started.
I liked King and Gianna together, they had time apart because of what happened. But they find their way back to each other. Gianna helps King to overcome everything that happened to him, and doesn't let him dwell.

King is another great book in the Reno Chapter of the MC. I feel that we gave waited forever for this one. The King has been looking for his Queen. Does he find her or does he need to keep looking. Check out King and find out. I loved this one and could not put it down. Definitely a page turner. One-Click recommendation

It was an interesting book
I guess I must have missed some previous books? I had to read a few chapters before it began to make somewhat sense to me. The characters were interesting And Each had their own definite personality. The story the storyline was A storyline kept you guessing at what was going to happen next. The ending is what I preferred to have in an ending.

An excellent read. I absolutely loved King and Gianna’s story ❤️❤️❤️ He was living with so many doubts, she was trying to eradicate them. A definite page turner and very entertaining. 100% recommend this book to everyone ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you will not be disappointed 😎.

Wow, King is my favorite. I love it shows how any trauma can happen to both males and females. I love it showed no matter what your family can and should always be there for you. This author writes amazing books, but somehow she made this one even more amazing.

Really good I liked King and Gianna's story, another really good series by D Williams. Could not put down it was a page tuner from beginning to end. Can not wait for the New Orleans chapter sitting on the edge of my seat waiting patiently.

I enjoyed this story. We've been waiting for King to mentally heal after coming home. We see him become the man he's meant to be and get his Queen!

Omg, I have been waiting for King’s story and it doesn’t disappoint, he’s been searching for Gianna, his Mafia princess, all whilst finding himself after his term oversees.
This is an exciting story full of all the feels, plenty of drama, lots of action and I couldn’t put it down. Loved it.

Book nine in the MorningStar MC , Reno Chapter series. King is a broken man he has demons. Gianna is a woman in love who is fight to fix her man. Best part of this is the club. Always has your back no matter what. She helps him so much. They love she has for him is beyond. Great add on to this series.
