This book is extremely dark (so dark it has a warning page before a certain chapter begins, advising you what’s to come and giving the option to skip it! And yes you might want to as it was HARD to read!) and it also has a long list of triggers! Please read those before continuing.
Well shit. This book was brutal. It was such a wild ride. It is graphic and dark and traumatic and you will feel ALL the feels and more. It will break you and put you back together and break you some more.
Wave/Doxy is by far the strongest FMC I’ve read. She is so badass! To be able to endure what she does and be able to switch off and get on with it was both heartbreaking and inspiring. Anyone else would have broken and given up.
Trevante and Xander.. sweet baby jeepers! These men are finnnnneeee!!! Their love for our FMC is next level. They will do anything and everything for her.

Ok like the first book READ THE TRIGGER WARNING PLEASE! Because oh my the first couple of chapters. I thought book one was kinda bad? Book two is wow. I understand why it's like that, but man. I had to stop a few times and breath. Samantha does such a great job, because I've never had triggers and I think I found one finally.
I honestly almost skipped chapter 13, there is a warning before hand. So you will see it, but I had to stop. I just had to. I'm right now crying from that chapter and it isn't even long. That chapter hit me right at home with my feelings and I just needed a breather.
This is such an intense book, but you learn so much about Doxy, aka Waverly, Xanda, and Trevante. The storyline just makes you have so much emotions, hatred, disgusted, depression, sadness, and so much more. I loved the first book and even though this one is more than the first I honestly loved this story too. I needed this book to better understand what happened and how it happened. I am so happy though that there was a HEA though for this book. Waverly deserved it, I am so in love with these books. I honestly cannot wait for book three and I cannot wait to read Taylan story! Like I said if you want a intense book that will make you cry. Give this series a read!!

TRIGGERS ALERT FOR THIS ONE. OK so in Knox and Lakeland’s book Shattered Soul (Re Della Strada) you know Knox’s twin Waverly was presumed to have died in the car that went off the bridge. Well at the end of their book we find out that she never died and that Karl (Irish mob boss) has her. She’s been being tortured for 14years. Xnox threw Xander out and told him to leave. Trevante is Karl’s son and he hates his father. He rescues Wave with the help of Xander and some of Karl’s men that don’t like what’s he’s doing. Together they set out for revenge against Karl and his guys that helped torture her. She’s a messed up soul and dead inside from the trauma she endeared. A LOT of messed up things happen in this story so be warned. So dark and twisted , but written amazingly by Samantha Barrett. She went above and beyond on this book.

I have never done this before, I guess there is a first time for everything- book 1, Shattered Soul, was a 5 star read for me. This one, WAS SIX GLOWING STARS FOR ME. Unbelievably incredible! Dark and messed up for sure but wow oh wow this author has a talent and I’m beyond glad she’s sharing it with us. Waverly’s story is not for the faint of heart- nope! But it needed to be told with ALLLLLL the details. I cried. I laughed. I was pissed. I was ashamed. I was grossed out. I was empowered. Books like this don’t normally cross my path but this one WAS EVERYTHING. Massive kudos to Samantha Barrett and this book will forever live in my black heart.

Please please go read this book! This was insanely good! Insanely good .
I was lost for words my god what this girl went through was sooooo wrong , so wrong but yet we as readers fall more in love with her for how strong she is.
This book was by far one of my favorites ! The checklist when those names got crossed off it had me smiling ear to ear, you need to read it to see what I mean .

The book is dark please don’t take the trigger warnings lightly! With that being said I absolutely loved this book! Poor wave gets put through a lot but she doesn’t need a white night to save her! I’m pretty sure my hearts the one that got fractured reading this but Samantha Barrett does an amazing job at picking up the pieces and putting them back together in the end! I can’t wait to read the third book!

Waves story was so good and heartbreaking, endearing and a great love story all in one! I cried while reading it! I absolutely enjoyed reading about Waves story and cannot wait to read the next in the next in the series of Re Della Strada. 5⭐️

I wish I could give this book more than 5 stars! Definitely check the trigger warnings, it is a HEAVY book with all of the feelings! Samantha Barrett is the queen of shattering souls and fracturing hearts, but she also knows how to put them back together, piece by piece.

The start of this story is harrowing, triggering and repulsive.
I am not normally one with many triggers but this just took it too far. Innocence, ripped away with extreme violence, beaten, repeatedly raped, whipped, cut, and even fecal matter! Daily abuse, sexually, physically and emotionally by multiple men for over year 14 years.
Obviously we are heading for a story of revenge but I doubt many will make it past the first few pages.
I believe this story would have been better to start with the 14 years when she truly has a chance to escape and use flash back scenes to those previous years (if really necessary).
It’s a stretch when she falls for 2 men and the sex is off the charts. You would expect a sexually abused and humiliated woman to be so deeply scarred that sex what be something that would take months/years to be even mildly enjoyable for her.

Flipping wow. This story is unhinged, completely twisted, legitimately dark, and seriously fantastic. Knowing where Shattered Soul left off is a mere hint at what is to be found on these pages. Read the TWs, FOR REAL! Do not be flippant regarding those warnings...I'm a TW shopping list lover, and my eyes went wide in this one.
Now, all that dark stuff being said, I love this series and this book. These are my favorite characters that Samantha Barrett has penned. I fell in love in the first, found so much admiration in this second, and will be impatiently waiting to see what the third hands me.

Fractured Heart by Samantha Barrett is another masterpiece in heartbreak. This is the second book in the Ŕe Della Strada series. In this one, we join Xander on his redemption tour as he tries to feel worthy of his best friend’s forgiveness for stuff that happened before (read Shattered Soul to find out what that stuff is). As he plans his final act of atonement, he meets Trevante, who is the only son of the Solomon Irish mafia family, though Trey's love for his father is sparse, actually nonexistent.The two find themselves working in tandem to not only bring down Karl, Trey's father, but also to save Doxy Da Luca. She, however, has been through and seen enough that she doesn't think she deserves saving. Xander loves her as Waverly Bronson, the subject of his long-time devotion. The girl he has accepted as dead, though he continues to hope it isn't so. Trey falls in love with Doxy, the woman made up of all the broken shards she's managed to glue back together with rage and pain, scars included, internal and external. The three of them embark on their own REVENGE tour, following Doxy's lead... because she wouldn't have it any other way. My heart and soul broke into a million pieces reading this book. I cried so hard and long that my nose is still screaming in pain. Speaking of screaming, yes, I did a good bit of that. I seethed and hollered and howled, often with tears streaming down my face. This is not for the weak. The constitution must be strong to get from the first word of the prologue... "FEAR" to the final sentence. "I was forced to become Doxy Da Luca to survive, but I choose to be Waverly Bronson now." For the love of all that is sunshine, please check the trigger warnings before jumping into this one!!! I can't emphasize that enough. Samantha gives you an extra warning before THAT chapter (iykyk) to skip it if you feel you need to. Heed her warning. There are scenes and subjects that will mess with your mental health. Luckily, my mental health is beyond repair, so I am okay. This one is sticking with me, though, for soooo many reasons. If you like dark and disturbed, run as soon as this one is released on July 2nd. Sam is a master at digging up every feeling you've ever had and forcing you to feel them all over. But, man, is it worth it!!!!

Absolutely heartbreaking, unpredictable, and incredible! Wave (Doxy) is one of the strongest fmc's I have encountered. She is fierce, smart, brave, and a survivor! Wave was held captive for FOURTEEN YEARS! She was tortured beyond comprehension every single day. One of the things those evil pieces did finally sent Wave over the edge. In stead of Wave we are introduced to Doxy Da Luca. Doxy started shadow boxing, planning, and vowing to get revenge on her captors and those she blamed for forgetting her. With the help of Trey (Karl's son). Doxy is finally able to escape. She earns the respect of some of Karl's men and takes over the SOCG and renames it The Da Luca Crime Family. She focuses on exacting her revenge and raiding Karl's clubs and boats to free other women so they would not have to go through what she did.
Oh man! Ummm... I mean men! Wave finds herself in a MFM relationship. Wave/Doxy is trying to exact revenge against Karl, his cronies, and her family while trying to navigate her feelings regarding Trey and Xander. Take note.....read the triggers accompanying this book!! It is dark, fierce and exceedingly hot. It will have you cringing and feeling helpless to what Doxy (aka Waverley) had to put up with for years before her successful escape. You will be cheering her on as she comes into her own and shows who is the boss!! Her rise to warrior status is a thrilling ride and when she is found by Xander, her old flame, her refusal to allow him back into her heart is heartbreaking. This book has you feeling ALL the emotions, it is so well written!
The second Xander sees his Waverley he doesn't let go. He is willing to follow her to the ends of the earth just to be with her. The problem is Trevante! The moment Trevante set his eyes on Doxy, he felt deep down a connection to the woman his father was abusing. He was not about to hand her over to Xander without a fight. Doxy decides to use them both for her own gain.
Trevante and Xander had to learn to "share" Doxy as neither were willing to give her up.

This book was so tragic but it was beautiful.
Waverly & Doxy are the parts that make up this beautifully broken girl. She managed to survive the most unthinkable injustices. She may be broken and numb but one thing is for sure the men responsible will get what they deserve.
Reading everything that made Doxy is heartbreaking but through the heartbreak a warrior was forged. She has been making plans and she knows exactly what her next steps will be as soon as she figures out how to get out of her prison.
Enter Trey who's very first action is to murder the man taking advantage of this unknown woman right in front of her. When he finds out who she is he is even more inclined to help her because his mother was in her same place years before and she never made it out.
Will Doxy ever get her revenge on everyone who hurt her and gave up on her? Will anyone be able to pull Waverly back up to the surface or will she always just be Doxy?
This book is about a fighting spirit who knows her worth and refuses to ever how down to the men who want only to hurt innocent women and children. She will be their safe place and she will free them all from the men who think they have a right to own them.

Doxy Da Luca/Waverly Bronson is probably the strongest, most badass FMCs I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. To go through everything she has and to be as strong and incredible as she is, I am in awe. Reading her story had me hurting deep inside, I wanted to give her a big ass hug and cry it out with her but let’s be honest, she’s probably beat me up for it. Her story is amazing, after reading the epilogue of Shattered Soul, I just KNEW I was in for it with this book.
Xander and Trevante…where do I even start?! One knew her as Waverly, one only knows her as Doxy. Seeing the way the three of them act with each other had me sighing, giggling, blushing, panting, you name it, I felt it. Both of these guys have their focus on Waverly/Doxy and both love and help in the way they think is best. Plus, they’re both HOT!! I loved seeing their journeys together and all the angst that follows!

OMG this is one book that was absolutely brilliant but was hard at the same time. When I say hard, I mean emotionally. I felt everything whilst reading this, which shows how brilliant Samantha is. What Wave has been through is something you could never imagine but what she becomes is a queen, and she owns it. Rescued by Trevante and reunited with Xander doesn’t help to begin with but she slowly starts to open up and let the boys in. Wave has a plan and no one who caused her pain will get away with it including her brother Knox. One by one they start to fall and then one day she comes face to face with her twin and her best friend Lake. Emotions are high and truths are told and things go from there.
Wave rises above everyone and becomes the boss she deserves and life couldn’t be better. Past traumas are made as memories to cherish and new beginnings start. This book has everything and more, I don’t want to put too much as it will spoil it but trust me when I say this book needs to be read. Yes your heart will break but like Wave, it will be fixed.

This book! This story! I can't even begin to tell you how fantastic this book is! Fractured Hearts is book 2 in the incredible Re Della Strada series. You absolutely have to read Shattered Soul first to understand the importance of the events in Fractured Heart. This story completely shattered me! The things Doxy/Waverly went through and survived is nothing short of a miracle. She's fierce as h*^* and has the determination to make those who wronged her pay. As this story unwinds the past meets the present in a huge way and for a bit I wondered if these two worlds could coexist. Knox, Lakeland, Xander show up as well as scrumptious new characters that I'm sure we'll love as well, as the series goes on. Be sure to read the trigger warnings before you start, this book has lots of potential triggers and covers very sensitive topics.

Wow! This book was amazing. This is my first read by Samantha Barrett, and I loved it. The pain, the brutality, the heartache and the love. This one had it all. I haven’t cried so much reading a book as I did this one, in ages. It tore my heart out, and I flat the pain alongside Waverly.
Please be sure to check the trigger warnings before you read this book. Because it’s DARK! Like really dark. (It even has a warning page before a certain chapter).
Wave is such a strong, inspiring and powerful FMC. I’m in awe of her. I loved how she conquered both her pain and her captors. She is simply just amazing.
Trevante and Xander are two completely different characters, but they work together so well, and they are the perfect fit for Waverly. Loved the steamy hot scenes, and how they made her feel again.
The love and warmth throughout the last part of the book, made all the pain worth it. One of the best books I’ve read so far this year, and I’ve read over a hundred. 🫶🏻

As always, Samantha Barrett has left me grabbing my heart and my head spinning.
Fractured Heart is definitely one of the darker books I've read from Samantha, but I was hooked from start to end.
I love how much I lose myself in Samantha Barrett's books. The characters rip out my heart and mend it all in one reading.

This book is set in the world of the Murdoch mafia, Memento Mori, and the Godfathers Of The Night with character crossovers. You don’t need to read either of those series to start this book.

I loved Trey - he's perfect! And while I also loved Xan, Trey stole my heart. I hope there will be spicy bonus scenes in the future featuring Trey, Xan, and Doxy 🖤
However, her past before she was abducted wasn't clearly explained, I wish it had been elaborated on in this book, as it's a standalone.

Check trigger warnings before reading, this is by far the darkest book Samantha has written. It’s dark but it’s amazing. Waverly is truly a force!! Trey and Xan are just perfection!! Their loyalty to Wave 🤌🏼 the spice between the 3 of them is wholllllyyy hellll 🔥🔥 Everything Waverly enduring for over a decade has her thirsting for revenge and the two MMC have no problem falling in line and following her lead to help her achieve that. She dominates everything in their life except in the bedroom. The dynamic these three have, I couldn’t get enough. I’m so freaking obsessed with this entire world, every book keeps getting better and better. Probably because with every book the world building just keeps layering and developing more. I can’t wait for Taylan’s book and Damned by his Angel. 🤗

July 2, 2024O.M.G.!!! Fractured Heart by Samantha Barrett was a tumultuous, torturous, heart-wrenching read!! It is the story of Waverly (Doxy), Xander, and Trevante. Waverly is a powerhouse of strength who survived years of the most despicable treatment you could possibly imagine. Xander and Trevante want to help her. But, there is so much hatred, rage, and the burning need for vengeance…there may be no coming back for any of them.
This story just gutted me….plain and simple…I was gutted after reading this. Elated, too!! But, the ride was difficult…I loved Waverly’s strength and fortitude. I adored Xander’s unrelenting love, and I adored Trevante’s patience and caring. This story will bring you to tears….multiple times….for multiple reasons!! One of the best stories of the year!!!!

Omg this has to be my favorite book from Samantha. I absolutely feel in love with Doxy/ Waverly. It blew me away with how much trauma she went through over the years. The way Doxy became stronger, more fierce and determined to make the the people who hurt her suffer on her own. Of course, fate has different plans. We get 2 guys who will fall for the 2 different versions of the FMC. We have Xander who knew and loved the old version of the FMC. Then we met Trevante, who helped Doxy escape her hell. Trevante falls for the newer version of Waverly ( Doxy). I loved how both of them had her back and let Doxy/ Waverly do what she needed to do but also showed her that she could let people in. This book is dark, and I highly recommend you read the tigger warnings first. I can't wait to see what happens next.

Before reading this book, make sure to read ALL TRIGGER WARNINGS ⚠️. This book goes beyond being dark. You learn a little about Waverly in Shattered Soul, but this book tells you all about how she had to endure so much torment for 14 years. It explains how she became the emotionless person she is today, until Trey and Xan show up. She never thinks she could feel any emotions again until her two men show her that it's possible after everything she went through—that she is loved and can love in return. Waverly is no victim; she is a survivor, and she makes it known. This book blew me away. Samantha, this is why you are the one to wear the crown. I feel like this book was a challenge, and you slayed it ✨️. More than 5 stars in my eyes!
