A cheating ex-boyfriend notwithstanding, Junie Baylor’s life was still a good one. She had supportive parents, a good job, great friends, and a best friend that was worth his weight in gold. Honestly, other than her taste in men, she had no complaints. She also did her best to be the bigger person, because in a world of douchebags, she didn’t need to add to the count.
So, in line with always choosing the high road, Junie refuses to miss the annual trip to the cabin, even though her ex-boyfriend will be there. The trip is a tradition dating all the way back to college, and she was not going to ruin everyone’s good time simply because she’d made an error in judgement. Besides, there would be plenty of other people there to distract her from any awkwardness that might arise.
Ripley Storm
A lackluster love life notwithstanding, Ripley Storm’s life was one made of dreams. Not only did he have great parents, a loyal best friend, and was close as hell to his brother, but he was also a champion snowboarder, and no one had more medals or championships under their belt. He was living the dream, even if he was in love with a woman that had no freakin’ clue of how he felt.
So, in line with always doing the responsible thing, Ripley agrees to let his brother host another annual reunion at his cabin. Though they were all adults and hardly needed him there to babysit, he didn’t like letting his mother down, and she was adamant about her sons spending quality time together. So, even though he wasn’t looking forward to it, there wasn’t anything that he wouldn’t do for his mother.
When fake dating isn’t so fake after all…
If it wasn’t enough that she’d been cheated on, to find out that she’d been cheated on with one of her closest friends brought a whole new meaning to the word betrayal. Nonetheless, Junie isn’t about to tuck tale and run, especially when she isn’t the one in the wrong.
If it wasn’t enough that he had to babysit a bunch of grown adults, to find out that the love of his life had been cheated on in the worst way, Ripley’s left with no choice but to step in and turn the tables on the two people that he’d love to kick out of his cabin, but can’t for the sake of peace.
When Ripley announces to everyone that he and Junie are dating, all she can do is go along with the farce or look even more humiliated than she already does. However, the line between pretend and real becomes blurred when Ripley’s true feelings start to show, and Junie starts having new feelings.

That was a very very very good book. While I was hesitant I thought I could give it a try as it is a novella roughly 100 pages and wanted to fill my afternoon. And I was pleasantly surprised how good this story was. In the introduction the author is warning us that she's an independent author that does all writing, editing and proofreading by herself so there are some mistakes. And I was like what am I going to read. But no people the story had a flow, there was a depth in the characters despite being such a short novel and it didn't lack anything. Perhaps some grammar and syntax mistakes and some minor inconsistencies that I truly believe that if the author had the means this would be an exceptional book. Congratulations really for your work

The storyline was crap, the writing was a bit cringy, and I didn't enjoy this at all.
H is a professional snowboarder who has had a crush/love for his younger brother's best friend for 5 years. His younger brother Roark tells him he can't go there because Roark doesn't want anything to happen with his relationship with his best friend if something happens with Ripley and Junie.
she was dating paul who she overhears on the phone talking to another girl how the ow is the best sex of her life and hes not fucking Junie *rolls eyes*
she keeps saying how she doesn't want their group of friends to have to choose between her and paul so they all go up to the cabin that Ripley owns to have a get together. Leslie, a member of their friend group, tells everyone that she and paul are engaged and she was the one that cheated on her ex bf with. lovely.
the number of times junie says how often her bff roark has bought her tampons *side eye*
and then end is paul trying to tell junie that he messed up and wants her back. then leslie comes out and everyone come out of their rooms and they start screaming and then ripley hears all the commotion and comes to see what's happening and then beats up Paul.

Very sweet and short story
I love quick reads full of romance and ole spice. Dooley and June were a cute couple with a ton of chemistry. In loved how he loved her for years and waited for her!! Perfect sweet story!

Loved this book and how much was packed in for such a short story. Loved the H and how much he loved the h.
h finds out bf is cheating. A year later she has to see him because they have the same friend group from college. During the trip, the h finds out that her bf cheated with one of her good friends and are now engaged. Junie’s best friend’s brother who has been pinning after her 5 years finally gets his chance and get together. No follow up karma for her cheating ex and the friend other then the cheater tried to get back with her and she shut him down hard.

I hate it when a guy says he been in love with the one but sleeps around. It's pathetic n disrespectful. If he cared at all for June he would not have slept with ow after meeting her. N what's up with authors always having guys think about their past encounters with women they slept with. I jus dont get it ... its not sexy tk be labeled as a playboy. ZERO STARS IF I COULD. YOU DONT SAY YOUR MY LOVE AND SLEEP AROUND. ITS DISRESPECTFUL AND NOT LOVE. really disliked this book. Fmc deserved a real man not a player n a cheater.

Not sure if the Author renamed her book or what, but I could of sworn I've read it before.

Enjoyable Novella
Short book, the timeline is written over a few days. I enjoyed the characters and enjoyed their HEA. I only wish we had gotten a little more on how it panned out for Paul and Leslie. I wanted Junie to get the satisfaction of knowing it didn’t work out for them after all their lies and cheating while she got her HEA with the perfect guy for her, even though she’s very much the ‘take the high road’ kind of d of person.

cute, short read
Sweet little novella. Had to keep reminding myself how short it was when I got frustrated with the fast pacing but it worked. Spicy scenes weren’t cringy or over the top. Third act drama was buttoned up quickly because the characters actually *gasp* communicated which was a nice change of pace.

Perfect MMC
I loved this book. The FMC wasn't a doormat, the MMC's brother was the best friend every girl should have, and the MMC was perfect. I wish more authors would write main characters that we readers can like and respect. This MMC was gorgeous and famous, but he wasn't a manho. Can't wait to read the next book in the series.

Fantastic read
I have never read anything by this author, but decided to give this book a try per a recommendation in a reading group. I loved it and am so glad I gave it a chance! Both the FMC and MMC were likeable. The supporting characters were well developed, as well. I will definitely try the next book.

This was a great fast paced read. What better way to get back at your cheating ex than a fake relationship with a hot AF snowboarder.

Even though I received this book for free it was very romantic and sweet. The hero was just so lovable. Knowing how he felt for fmc for years and never changed even though she had no idea. Loved his brother who was fmc bff. It’s in my keeper list.

This novela is so flipping sweet! There are parts when you feel every emotion with the characters. You'll get angry, sad, happy & then moments of sexual tension. They all have been written perfectly to draw the reader in & I love it!!!!😘

loved this couple!
I generally hate misunderstanding tropes but this was perfect - a few overheard moments that could have dragged on for a while, but the main characters didn’t let anything go on too long, great communication, and so cute.
