Meguru and Sasame are starring in their very first TV drama! The show gives them the opportunity to each strike out on their own, which means the end of Unicorn Boys and the beginning of their bright, new futures. Meguru is pursuing a new career in makeup, but his relationship with Wako is about to change in a big way too—and it all starts with a proposal!
This was sweet and soft and barely even flirted with drama, which honestly was kind of refreshing.
Their dynamic is peak wholesome. They really are the definition of “my person,” always cheering each other on and just getting it. I also cackled at someone calling it a light case of twink death, accurate and hilarious😭!!
Honestly? Cozy, cute, low-stress. Loved the whole vibe.
This series was so sweet and so fun. I truly had the best time reading it. I feel like this ending was perfect for the series, and I loved the little time skip that we get. It truly felt satisfying.
So sad that it’s over now, loved the series tremendously. This volume was pretty rushed to wrap everything up. It could’ve used one more volume tbh especially for the wedding :/
Woooowww!!! I won’t lie, I had no idea this would be the end of the series!! It’s okay, because it’s such a cute and fun storyline, and I’m very happy where it ended. My only slight qualm was that even though 99% of the characters are shown as “androgynous”, both male and female, there were no gay relationships. My yuri!!! So close to being canon!!! And it wasn’t!!! I mean, I guess it’s okay, but I really really wanted yuri.
I’m so glad I finally finished this. I wish Meguru-kun and Wako-chan a happy rest of their lives. 💕
I rate it three stars not because on anything on the mangaka, it simply felt like this series was getting axed and tamekou had to hurry to tie up the loose ends together . A lot of character developments felt rushed and I don't feel as if this is in any way the fault of the author . Two of them dating doesn't seem to be given the amount of weight it should , as does the nuances and struggles that the couple themselves faced . Some endings are left ambiguous and with no further clarity , Sasame , and Sakurako are examples off the top of my heads . I would rate it higher if it felt like the ending truly came from the author and not the pressures of serialisation .
An amazing conclusion to a wonderful series. The art is still stunning and the story still interesting. I love Wako and Meguru. Their relationship is just one big green flag. We get to see both of them adapting to job changes and growing as adults. I also loved the side characters and how their stories developed. Highly recommend.
Caruccio.
Oops, no wonder I was confused, I accidentally read this before volume 4 I was still confused by which character was which and it also seemed like the TV show (?) they were starting just disappeared? But yay for happy endings and beauty
