Shay is a witch and the once a generation seer . She feels useless because that is her only power. When she has to return home pride keeps her from calling her mom for a loan to get home. She heads to a psychic fair where she will tell someone's future. She figures that they will take it as false info. Until she has a man sit in front of her and when she touches him she discovers he is a serial killer and she is on the list. She leaves at the end of the fair and knows he's following her. She decides to take him where he can fall to his death. Unfortunately she's the one who does. She plummets to the river. Only to wake in a reaper's arms.
Kohl was drawn to Shay fifteen years before and brought her back. He took her to safety. It was his choice to take her to Fate’s Falls. The Oracle keeps watch over the town and gives it safety. He went against her when he brought Shay back. He cares for her and doesn't understand it.
They finally have a sit down talk where they get through their issues. But Shay also wants to stop the killer. What will happen to her when she interferes with his craziness. Will she survive once again and have a happily ever after with her reaper? Or will the reaper have to finally take her to her afterlife destination?
A fantastic story that has love, fear and justice entwined.

Gleeful Goblin Review: I know that I have made **excellent choices** as a reader when I pick up a book and in bold text at the first part of the Author's Note I read: "There is no funky monster peen in this story, sorry." Am I disappointed because I had perhaps pictured a Captain Holt from Brooklyn 99 screaming "BONE" type scenario? Mildly, but I will survive.
As someone who (probably predictably) loves shows like Criminal Minds, Law & Order: SVU, and a slew of similar podcasts I was totally enthralled when reading Shay's recounting of what and how she came to be in Fate Falls and fitting pretty well under the "mostly deád" description ala Princess Bride. She is understandably a private, guarded, even isolated person who talks largely with her cat(s), which is relatable, but despite that Kohl SEES her. That being seen and known is so incredible for most anyone who feels like an outsider looking in on life and love and he made my heart melt into goo with how he describes Shay and his feelings about her: "The walls she erècted to safeguard herself from having visions don’t prevent her from feeling things. The aloof exterior she curated isn’t fake, but it’s just one side of her. She cares deeply for others. More than she’d like, because caring makes her vulnerable. That’s when her cultivated contentment slips into resignation, and the enormity of her loneliness catches up with her. Even then, she never wavers in her choice to remain separate from others. I was untruthful when I told Shay I was needed to be elsewhere. Being close to her again, in physical form… the temptation to hold her was overwhelming. I haven’t forgotten the sensation of enclosing her in my embrace. Haven’t stopped longing to have her in my arms again. Yearning. Desíre. Love. Feelings experienced by mortal beings. From birth through deáth, emotions are what drive them. I am not mortal. Reapers exist to fulfil an endless purpose. We do not díe. We are not meant to feel." UGH, MY HEART.
This is certainly a slower pace burn but 100% worthwhile. I love this setting the author is building out and the people that are filling it. I'm ecstatic to have gotten to know Shay more and highly recommend this book. 5/5 Stars

Oh my goodness, to know the level of love that Kohl has for Shay from anyone on the mortal realm would be a treat. Even to have a fraction of that devotion would be good. For someone who can't touch another without seeing their entire future, the outlook for love is nil. However, with the help of friends, another witch, a familiar and a mother's guiding words, Shay is able to finally touch and feel love and be loved, and it was beautiful. When the Oracle calls upon Kohl to grant him his deepest wish, I shed a few happy tears for this couple. While the steam factor is fairly mild for this author, as she notes in the preface, the emotions that are packed into this story are tenfold worth the read. Plus you get to visit Fate's Falls again and see characters from the previous two books in this series. I just absolutely adored this story and am so happy that Shay got her HEA ending after all.

Now, Shay is shocked to find Kohl back, forwarding her the gift of a familiar from a recently deceased witch friend and entering her life. But how can a witch who can’t touch someone without seeing their life and a reaper who needs to help deceased souls move on have a relationship?
This novella is dual POV, well written, and a sweet contemporary fantasy romance with steamy moments. I enjoyed both characters’ self-discovery. I enjoyed Shay’s realisation that she could be proactive, and then her execution of plans. I enjoyed Kohl’s devotion and dedication, and his determination to care for Shay. I enjoyed their building relationship, and their eventual intimate relationship. I enjoyed the supportive and integrated secondary characters.

Oh this was a lovely cute little read. This tale from Fates Falls tells the story of Shay, a rare witch who unintentionally sees everyone's future through touch but possesses no other powers. Both of which cause her resentment and loneliness. When she uses her seer ability to try and stop a serial killer she unwittingly ends up one of his victims and in the arms of Kohl, a reaper who goes against his nature and brings her back to life. He takes her to Fates Falls for safety and for 15 years he watches over her without her knowledge. When he finally reveals himself to her, the love story between a touch starved witch and a being without a human body begins, and it's beautiful 🥰

Kohl is the reaper who saved Shay the night she was murdered. Shay is a seer who cannot touch anyone without seeing their future. For 15 years this has been her life and recently watching those she is close to find love has left her feeling alone and wishing for more. Kohl is her more and more importantly he’s in love with her. I love the story surrounding their love and the sweet as sugar HEA. So happy Shay found her love!!!

A Beautiful Non-Traditional Romance
Shay can’t touch anyone for fear of seeing their future. Kohl is a reaper who can’t have a future with Shay, but wants her anyway. These two can’t have a traditional relationship - what sort of happily ever after can they have? This story was sweet and poignant, with the perfect amount of sass and the best of best friends. I loved how wholly and completely Kohl loved Shay, with his pseudo-stalking and his desire to be near her. Fate’s Falls is a great place to visit, and I can’t wait for more stories. A wonderful read.

This was a really cute paranormal romance. It was a short story with a very slow burn romance but it really fit the story. I loved that even though the story could be read as a standalone, it had some ties to previous books by the author. Shay was such an interesting character and her connection with Kohl was very unique.

A Reaper Is Forever is Shay and Kohl's seer/ reaper, unique, slow burn HEA. Shay isa seer. Impatient with her life she leaves to find a normal one. It backfires and now she's in Fate's Falls safe but unable to touch another living being without seeing more than she wants to. Kohl is a reaper who shouldn't feel but can't stop his desire for Shay.

I loved Shay and Kohl for each other she is a seer and he is a reaper. I loved how the author brought them together and how although it took them a bit to finally get their happily ever after it made it that much sweeter. From the magic, drama, and slow burn romance to the well developed characters, humor, and perfect hea this is a great addition to the Fate's Falls series. I look forward to reading the rest of this fabulous series. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

The author has taken us back to Fate's Falls and given us a wonderful story that pulls us into the lives of Kohl, Reaper, and Shay, Seer. The story keeps us turning the pages with connection, major obstacles and fears.

Shay and Kohl are super sweet together. I really loved their relationship and how it progressed. Seeing the couples from previous books was so fun too. I'd love to hear more about the oracle and to see who's in store for Lexi.

This was amazing!! Reaper, Kohl, saved Shay 15 years ago and took her to Fates Falls after she ‘died’ where she was safe. He kept watch, loving her even though reapers don’t have feelings. Sweet romance with true love, romance, amazing chemistry and a wonderful HEA.

Shay and Kohl’s story is full of longing, fear of the future, devotion, emotion, dark memories, sweetness, swoons, humour, magic, Fate, steam and is the most beautiful journey.

Well this was a different spin on monster romance! A reaper and a witch seer, both connected by past events, soul mates that needed to find their way to each other. This lacked the spice of the previous books but Kohl's romantic gestures more than made up for it! Can't wait for the next book!

The Right Place For Love
Fate's Falls is such a wonderful place for anyone who finds safety. Shay thinking that she could never touch another soul because of her visions just for Kohl, who saved her way back as a Reaper, to come back into her life really shows that anything is possible in the small town.

Love the Reaper
Kohl is a reaper who isn't supposed to have feelings, but he does when it comes to Shay. Shay is a seer who died trying to stop a serial killer but was saved from moving on by Kohl. Loved this story, and I would love more.

Loved it! Kohl is so sweet and so literal. I went from awwww to giggles in seconds. Then Shay is Sassy and has walls but not strong enough to keep him out. Loved this one.
