I swear I only asked one hot hockey-playing friend to give me romance lessons for the week, but three hockey stars volunteered…
The post breakup plan was simple – escape from my toxic ex to a vacation rental and stay far away from men.

Update: why did I put fisher when I read Totally Pucked and am obsessed with Katie and Fisher’s novella I have no clue. Maybe I was wrapped up in the Thoroughly Pucked ending. And way. I will be starting this sometime this week and I cannot wait!

this was just such a fun, fluffy read!!
briar’s ex-boyfriend is a LOSER and tries to steal her cat but with the help of three, very hot hockey players, she rescues her cat but is left with no place to stay. she’s got an airbnb at a festival the next week and as luck would have it, she can get in early. but then she decides to go in the hot tub… and finds a naked hockey player waiting who tells her he also has this airbnb rented… and so do his two teammates.
this had all the forced proximity, why choose, “teach me” aka bedroom lessons fun. it’s super fluffy, the plot is mostly “these three hot hockey players love me and want to help me ✨o✨ for the first time” and sometimes you just need that!!!

The Heroes: Hollis, Rhys, Gavin - All three are professional hockey players with the Golden State Foxes. Rhys is an Englishman who is sick of eating sushi, their winning streak lately means they have to go eat sushi after every game, since that was what they did after the first win in the streak. Gavin is muscular and broody with BDE. He holds himself like a man who knows what to do with a woman. While Hollis is open and flirty and good at just about everything.
The Story: The guys are on their way to check out a rental property they are thinking of buying when they come across Briar hanging from the balcony. They recognize her since she used to be the yoga teacher for their team, until she got a job with another team. They help her get her cat and they end up being friends with her, so when they end up at the same rental property a week later due to a reservation snafu, they decide to stay there together.
I liked the fact that two of the guys had shared girls in the past and Briar had a friend that was in a polyamorous relationship so the fact that she is attracted to all three guys and they are attracted to her doesn’t present as much of a problem as it would in some cases. The one thing I hate about some reverse harem romances, is the convoluted ways in which the relationship(s) happen.
This audiobook was narrated from multiple perspectives, with a duet narration by Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke, Connor Crais, and Teddy Hamilton. These are some of my favorite narrators, so I was confident that this audiobook would be great in audiobook format, and I wasn’t disappointed. Jason Clarke surprised me with his spot-on British accent. His accent, combined with his gravelly voice, made him sound sexy rather than posh. Teddy Hamilton has the perfect expressive voice for the flirty and happy-go-lucky Hollis, while Connor Crais has the deep, sexy voice that was terrific for broody Gavin, who is sparing with his words. Samantha Brentmoor has a soft feminine voice that is always pleasant.

Well and Truly Pucked is the fourth book in the My Hockey Romance series of interconnected standalone stories. Lauren Blakely has done it again. This story is SO good! Lauren brought the heat, and I loved every second of it.
Briar is thrown out by her toxic ex. While executing her simple post-breakup plan, she ends up sharing a vacation rental with three completely different but equally dreamy hockey players. Gavin is broody and more reserved, Rhys is the cheeky Brit, and Hollis is flirty and easygoing.
Having never really experienced true satisfaction in the romance department, the guys agree to give her a week of no-strings-attached romance lessons. The goal is to show her how a great boyfriend should treat her. As they spend time together and become more open, this week-long arrangement becomes much more.
Well and Truly Pucked is so fun to read. I loved all of the characters in this story. Briar is fun, feisty, smart, and a sweetheart. I enjoyed witnessing her growth and the realization that she deserved more. I instantly fell in love with Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin. They are so different but work well together while giving Briar what she needs.
I loved how they put her needs first, communicated well, and were completely comfortable with vulnerability. The banter, tension, chemistry, and heat are perfect! I also loved the friendships between the guys and how they truly considered each other family. Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin are the perfect book boyfriends.

The audiobook features a full cast of all-stars. Samantha Brentmoor, Jason Clarke, Connor Crais, and Teddy Hamilton knocked this one out of the park. I am a huge fan of their work, and this performance was perfect! Everything was so good and flowed well. They did well with the characters' personalities and really brought them to life. I was fully immersed in their world and could feel the chemistry.

I'm really in my Hockey Why-Choose romance era right now and this was a fun addition that fulfilled my current book mood 🙃 I liked Briar as a FMC, she felt like someone who would be my friend - she was driven, thoughtful and was not afraid of a little (warranted) burglary when it came to her cheating, cat stealing EX.
I thought the romance was sweet and wholesome, chivalry and tension are NOT DEAD. Also the spice was ✨D E L I G H T F U L✨, I am an absolute sucker for the build up of tension to ... "F*ck it" 💋 *Giggles*
One of my critiques is that I wished that the revenge she got was a little more satisfying, don't get me wrong, it was - but I felt that there was an opportunity that was missed to really stick things to her EX.
Overall an enjoyable read! Well and Truly Pucked will be available on KU May 9th!

1.5 stars // The ratings misled me on this KU, RH hockey romance. I felt the writing was very amateur and the pacing was off. I guess the ratings are so high cause ppl are horny out here - which no judgment but like, I need something more than just 3 hot guys all like a hot girl. The meet cute was weird as the cat basically wasn’t in the entire rest of the story? It just didn’t come together and I was bored.

I enjoyed the others in this series, but this one was hard for me to enjoy.
We have Briar, who found out her ex cheated on her and kicked her out, who also stole her cat. But the guys helped her save her cat, which is funny because the cat isn't in the story, really.. so what was the point?! The cat is with her father, and now she has the dog. Which makes no sense because the apartment said no cats, but dogs are allowed???
It wasn't giving me why why chose. Because of the "contest" on how to be a good boyfriend. The guys didn't fight, but I didn't feel like they worked as a team. 2 did, but the other felt like he wasn't involved. He didn't even know 2 of them shared before. Which made me sad. It felt like it was them 3 more, and Gavin was on the sidelines.. my other meh was the whole "were friends" talk everytime they get close we don't wanna ruin our friendship, we'll always be friends after this. It got annoying fast. When they finally did group stuff, they all took a step back because it was for one week and the "contest," so it was a wired aftermath. Until the guys banded together and went after their girl. So yeah.

I’ve had a great time so far with this series overall but this story somehow did not grab me the way the last two had and I just cannot say why. I don’t know!!! I must have put this down at least 5 different times since the ARC landed on my kindle and I am all up in my head about it because, I do not know why!!

✓ I *fanned* myself often ;)
*sigh* okay, not knowing why is probably a little *not true* because I’m pretty sure it’s more than likely me wanting there to be a little more meat to the storyline itself. It was fun, flirty, and sexy and did I say the banter was quite hilarious, because it was all of those things, but this is now book 4 and I think my brain just wanted a bit more depth. *shrug* <<< This is a complete ME thing but me thing or not, it messed with my overall experience of this story. *shrug* (again) Sooooooo, 3.5 but since half stars are not a thing and it is NOT anywhere near a 3, then 4 STARS it is!

Nope. Just no. I’m not sure what happened with this book but it was not for me. I almost dnf’d. But I hate doing that so I skimmed the last 20%. This book is total opposite of the last three books in the series. Super disappointed.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ Loved it! Would recommend, almost perfect and likely would reread.
🌶️🌶️🌶️: 50/50 spice plot ratio, bdsm, voyuerism, multiple partners
after a breakup, i planned to escape my toxic ex by staying at a vacation rental, aiming to avoid men entirely. however, a booking error led to me sharing the place with three attractive hockey players: one flirty, one broody, and one a cheeky brit. when i mentioned writing a column on what makes a great boyfriend for my ex's dating advice website, they all volunteered to help. we made a deal for one week, intending it as revenge. over the week, they showed me what it means to be adored, cherished, and romanced. despite knowing it was a mistake due to my job with their rival team, i found myself falling for them. what began as revenge turned into a deep emotional connection, leaving me in a complicated situation.
this was such a fun book with briar's growth and the dynamics between them all just being so entertaining. hollis, rhys, and gavin are the best men and i adored them. they always prioritised briar's needs, they knew how to communication and always showed vulnerability. the banter, tension, chemistry, and friendship between them was perfect.
the audiobook features a stellar cast of samantha brentmoor, jason clarke, connor crais, and teddy hamilton. the narration flowed seamlessly, and the cast excellently captured the characters' personalities, truly bringing them to life. their chemistry was palpable, fully immersing me in the story.

this was such a fun book with briar's growth and the dynamics between them all just being so entertaining. hollis, rhys, and gavin are the best men and i adored them. they always prioritised briar's needs, they knew how to communication and always showed vulnerability. the banter, tension, chemistry, and friendship between them was perfect.
the audiobook features a stellar cast of samantha brentmoor, jason clarke, connor crais, and teddy hamilton. the narration flowed seamlessly, and the cast excellently captured the characters' personalities, truly bringing them to life. their chemistry was palpable, fully immersing me in the story.

I had a great time reading this book. Briar and the guys made a great team. It was wonderful to see them all fall in love despite their initial reluctance. The witty exchanges between the boys were a highlight of the story. You could sense their strong bond of friendship, which made their love for Briar all the more heartwarming. I particularly enjoy 'why choose' romances, and this one didn't disappoint. The guys were all unique and brought something special to Briar's life.

I actually did finish this but toward the end I was bored. I haven’t read any of the others in this series but while the writing was decent it still felt very cookie cutter. Not sure if I’ll give the others a go.

Another great hockey romance in the books! I loved the relationship and growth between all 4 characters within their own arcs and all together. The romance hit just right and the spice sure was spicing! I’m heavy on getting a good mix of plot and spice and this was beautifully done… and their communication? Hot!

Well and Truly Pucked by Lauren Blakely brings all spicy witty entertaining goodness in Well and Truly Pucked. It was sexy. It was fun. It was sweet. It was swoony. If you are looking for an uncomplicated good time with lots of spice..this is the book for you.
When her cheating ex kicks her out of the apartment and she accidentally gets double-booked with three hot hockey stars into a new place...Briar finds out that her lackluster sex life and unfulfilled love life are not her fault at all! It starts with an experiment for getting material of a competition run by her ahole ex but at the end they fall for each other.
What's better than one hot hockey player? Three of them! Rhys, Gavin and Hollis bring their team work off the field too. They absolutely worshipped Briar in the way she deserves. She is such a sweet firecracker and I hate that her ex has dulled her fire. But no worries! Our hockey hotstars are here to rescue..not only her kidnapped cat, but her body and soul too. Rhys is under a lot of pressure regarding his future in Golden State Foxes but Briar has some unique way to take away his stress. Hollis is the goofball of the group but he has issues too. He is afraid of disappointing anyone and that makes him an overachiever. Gavin is the silent and brooding one but you know they are the wildest. Together they made her feel so cherished and wanted and loved. She fitted in their dynamics seamlessly. It was full of flirty, hilarious and heartwarming moments. The spice was way too high. Like panty melting..kindle burning.. kind of high. When they say that they want to share her because they're obsessed with making her feel good. DOES IT GET ANY BETTER THAN THAT? REALLY??

You know what I love most about Lauren Blakely’s why choose stories? I fall in love with all of the guys. Most of the time I always have a favorite out of a RH, but something about the way Lauren writes her men makes me want ALL OF THEM. Briar is a yoga instructor that you might have met in the previous books of the series and she is such a cutie! She’s going through a hard time when three hockey player acquaintances stumble upon her and help her cat burglar 🤪 Rhys, Gavin, and Hollis are all the perfect book boyfriends! Briar is living my best life! This is such an amazing love story to end the series on. Lauren Blakley has done it again! I absolutely recommend!

Well and Truly Pucked is the fourth book in Lauren Blakely’s why choose hockey romance. They are interconnected standalone so they can be read in any order- this was my first one of the series. It’s funny and sweet! I love the relationship connection with Briar, Hollis, Rhys, and Gavin. There is so much banter, swoony moments as the guys are trying to impress her. It’s just overall a really fun time and you get some fun characters! Fun light hearted very steamy read! After these three hockey players are beyond feral for Brair and helping her learn and grow! The communication between the four is really amazing and great. The text messages between the boys is hilarious!

Wow! I absolutely loved and adored this book. Amazing characters and wonderful plot. Very beautifully written and easy to read.
Briar got cheated on and her ex basically stole her cat. So she wants to go to a vacation rental. She asked one hockey player to give her romance lessons for a week but gotten three. Oh my. They are all so different. One is a total flirt, the second was me broody and grumpy and the third is a cheeky Brit. All deliciously hot. I absolutely loved the chemistry and passion between them. And I adored the mission to bring back stolen cat.
Overall I loved this book very much. If you’re a fan of why choose, hockey romance then you’re going to love it.

This was unexpectedly sweet and cute. Gavin, Rhys, and Hollis all fell so hard for Briar and were considerate, attentive, and excellent boyfriends. I loved them all and couldn’t possible pick a favorite between them. The rivals to lovers, forced proximity because they are roommates, forbidden love was super hot, and the romance lessons were adorable. Briar is spunky, hardworking, and so selfless. Why choose isn’t really my jam, but I still enjoyed it.

This is the fourth book of the series, and as with the previous three books, the series follows different characters in each book.
This book was a my favourite in the series! But that’s not to say that it was really any better than the previous ones. It was ok but something was missing… it was almost too cheesy and predictable if that’s a thing..
That said, The narrator’s were awesome! And i actually enjoyed Samantha Brentmoor as the FMC in this one! (Didn’t in other books!) and Teddy, Connor and Jason as our leading men were phenomenal!!

Well and Truly Pucked is just a good and deliciously spicy hockey romance! Highly recommend the audiobook for this one, Teddy Hamilton is one of my favorite male voice narrators and does this book justice. I did accidentally read this (book 4) first, but I was still able to follow as it is a standalone, and it made me want to read the first 3 books as well! Do yourself a favor and grab this steamy book and enjoy the 3 hockey boyfriends🏒

Whew 😮💨 That was such a fun steamy read that left me giggling and so incredibly happy! I’ve never read a Lauren Blakely book, I always hear about them but I’ve only recently have gotten into the Why Choose genre. When I say: I am so excited to go back and read the previous books in this series!
I really loved Blair’s character and the vulnerability and rawness that she had offered to Rhys, Gavin and Hollis. I think the biggest thing I loved about this book was how feral the men were for HER and her pleasure. Yeah, they were getting something out of it. But it was all about Blaire and helping her accomplish reaching an “O” with a partner and what she liked and didn’t like in bed. Most importantly after her failed relationship in the opening of the book, these men truly showered her with the attention and love that she rightly deserved.
There were so many moments in Well and Truly Pucked that made me giggle and blush 🥵 THE SPICE. 😮💨🥵 Lauren did not fail to keep me intrigued and tied in to all of the spiciness that this book brought forward. I enjoyed the boys development throughout helping Blair out. They are complete cinnamon rolls.
Overall Well and Truly Pucked was a wick, steamy, fun read that left me entranced from page one. I’m so excited to see what Lauren Blakely has up her sleeve next for readers, because now I am officially one!
