This book needed a better proof reader, too many mistakes. It is a good mystery novel and with so many possible people who had reasons to kill Flynn. The actual killer was a surprise. It was good to read how the children's reading habits were included.
In this story, we get to meet Stewart, the owner of Alexandria's Books. We will also meet Flynn Howard, a local book writer who has his 2nd book about to come out. He wants to have a book signing at his friend Stewart's bookstore. We will also get to meet his friend Mariam and Flynn's ex-wife. At the book signing for his 1st book, Emily buys his book planning on featuring it in her blog for book reviews. The next morning, Emily is waiting at the café for her friend Anita to show up, and when she arrives, she starts telling Emily about the murder of a local writer and shows Emily the news story for Emily to find out it was Flynn Howard. Can Emily help to solve the case, and could the killer be one of Flynn's friends, or was it just a random killing by a stranger. Grab a copy and see if you can solve the case before Emily.
I have enjoyed every book in this series and this book was no exception. Emily is far more intelligent than I think she realizes and it shows in her blog as well as in how she approaches the mysteries she solves. Yes, I am well aware she is a character in a story. I just relate to her quite well. The plot was straightforward and easily followed and the premise was finding who killed the loud mouthed author and why. I definitely recommend this book.
Emily has decided to focus her blog on reviewing books. She focuses on a local author among others for her first posting. But he ends up murdered before she can get a post written. A fun read.
Emily is trying to start a book review blog and gets mixed up in drama at her favorite book story and library. Of course there is a murder that needs to be solved!
Plutôt décevant. L’histoire a du potentiel, mais le mystère est résolu en moins de 10 pages avec aucune explication sur la manière dont il est résolu. Il manque de “viande autour de l’os”.
