Totally blew me away!

I love a good mystery mixed with adventure! Dreams, what do they mean? Can Calum trust those around him? The whole thing had me hooked from start to finish. If you're into fantasy and want a book that'll keep you glued to the pages this is it! Can't wait for the next one.

This is a must read for anyone into fantasy and adventure! I couldn't put the book down! The author does a great job of keeping characters relatable which makes me feel so attached to them. Everything that happens in the plot is so carefully calculated and planned out. I can't wait to see what'll become of Calum and his friends in the coming books!

This is a fun book to read! I've read it three times and it's always fun to see how the main character, Calum, finds unique solutions to his problems. I also like the imaginative world in which this story is set. Magical plants? Yes, please! This author paints such a vibrant world that it makes me want to paint again. I loved the imagery of this book!

I loved the fantasy, mystery and suspense of this book. The end had a twist that I did not expect and has me craving the next book to see what will happen. Thompson sets each scene with enough detail that you are envelloped in the pages with the characters. You can apmost see and feel the magic they are experiencing. This is a great story for the imagination and soul. 10/10 would read again

I'm the author of this book, so I might be a bit biased, but I think it's great! Echo Island is just the beginning of a five-part series following a young and adventurous boy named Calum O'Brian. This is the perfect book for anyone looking to ease their way into a new world. It doesn't just throw you in the middle of things, instead, you get pulled into the conflict along with Calum. That means mystery, discovery, and plenty of adventure!
