Sadly, this volume has some awful plot twists with all sorts of past characters returning to get a piece of Jackie. It feels too artificial, just like the 90's style dialogue which is the poorest feature by far, with uncensored curse words which further diminish the quality of the comic. Jackie has transformed into a weakling, so the whole story seems from another book altogether.
This volume of Top Cow's Darkness story had a lot of action and resolved many of the storylines from the Accursed sequence of trades (often with accompanying references to the previous trade volumes). It collected issues 90 to 95 of the comic, and did end at a point obviously leading to a new sequence meant to build-up to issue 100. Also, to note, the volume begins prior to Top Cow's Artifacts storyline and ends after the completion of that storyline. Overall, the story was a fun tale that wrapped up the threads of Accursed leading up to the arc's finale that I suppose would be in volume 7.
Holy shit, I love this series so much, it's so dark and brilliant! This is my favourite volume in accursed so far, it does so well to bring elements of the earlier comics into it and everything comes together so wonderfully.
