Dating can be a nightmare...But not when you're dating the Nightmare Girls.
Brock did it. He saved the city from the evil Void Cartel and earned himself a break. Phase One of that break? Get to know some of the new girls that joined up with Solar Dreams Media, starting with the Nightmare Girls!
Their vacation destination of choice is Moonchild Beach, one of a few beach resorts in Meteoropolis. Though Brock has to balance his obligations to them with those to the city, his daughters, and yes, the Dream Girls and Evil Girls, he couldn't be more ready for this opportunity to get to know the feisty, spirited newcomers.
But... when Brock sees an opportunity to address his personal existential dread once and for all, he jumps on it. It's not enough to live until the end of the universe; he wants to live happily with all his women and his family well beyond that. Will he find the answer he's looking for? Will he upgrade his bond with Ember Black, Lunaticia, Viperka, Petal, and Velvet? Will the Brock Point System finally be abolished? And how will the other ladies cope with his absence over the long weekend?
Tune in for the answers to these and other exciting questions in this installment of Solar Dragons Need Love, Too! We're on a new arc now, baby, and if you're here for the babes and the banter, you should enjoy it!
It reminds me of SD 1 where Brock and Pinky were really developing their relationship. I kind of missed that to be honest. The other books are great, no question there, but this was a good change of pace! I got to know the Nightmare Girls better and come to love them as much as the others. There's still on brand SD stuff, but slowing the pace down and showing Brock's human and dragon heart for these girls was sweet and cute! Definitely recommend picking this story up and giving it a read!
Just like the writer made sure to point out in the previous book, the Solar Dragon series moving forward will primarily focus on Brock just enjoying his time with his girls and not really on the epic story from the previous five book. This isn't a bad thing at all though as it becomes just an entertaining series where a guy enjoys time and bonding with the girls in his life. As long as the author is able to succeed in obtaining this element of entertainment, the series will continue to be enjoyed by the fans moving forward.
if you have gotten here, you know what you’re getting and it’s really good.
Partitioning has made the too many members much smaller. It’s given the story focus which was surprisingly effective at bringing a fun, chill vibe. The humor is there and not rehashed. The girls are fun and develop. It breathes life into the series.
So Brock has 3 harem groups at this point, and I think we need a character page to keep track of everyone. This volume focuses on a getting-to-know-you vacation with the B team, the Nightmare Girls. It’s full of insecurities and awkward exchanges, and our original heroines are relegated to the background. It was fine, but not as fun as prior volumes.
Second I enjoyed the “getting to know you” feel of the book and look forward to more stories that provide lore dump with slice of life.
I feel like this could have been longer in that getting to know you area. Mor about splice partners or pre rebirth. Just deeper knowledge of the girls.
This next book didn't have as much action as the others. It was more about a vacation and getting to know the girls better. I'm going to get the 8th book and see what happens.
