This was wonderful. I truly enjoyed this unique story. I liked the characters immediately, the instant attraction was believable and I wanted them to get together. They bring out the best in each other. They had their issues but the story was uplifting. I cannot say enough positive things about this book.

OMG!!! WOW!! Fab*u*lous Absolutely love this one!! I couldn't put this one down. This was a nice quick, short read.

Trey and Electra met when he comes to her parent's house for an emergency electric repair. Electra's parents are famous musician, but she wants nothing to do with that line of work. Trey is working for his father and following his footsteps. Trey's father sends him to Electra's parent's house finding out that she was shocked by a microphone. When Trey does a little looking into what may have caused that to happen he finds out that Electra's mother was taking a bath and water spilled over the tub. Now there's water damage in the walls. Trey needs to put a hole in the wall to fix everything. Electra wants to record a few songs, but doesn't want her parents to find out. Electra was in the studio and going to record when she was shocked, she finds out from Trey it will take him all weekend long to fix everything. As Trey starts to work Electra helps him out and they get to know one another. Trey tells Electra he'll come over the following morning to continue. When Trey arrives Electra has the coffee ready for them and then they have breakfast. After Trey gets to work, Electra kisses him. As they work together Trey finds out why Electra was in the studio. After they have lunch, Trey check the progress he is making. Electra suggests they watch a movie while they are waiting on things. While watching a moving Trey and Electra start to make out, talking about dating. The next day Trey comes over with breakfast. Trey is almost finished and just needs to do a few more things, Electra is getting prepared. When Trey tells Electra he can leave she asks him to stay and help her with her recordings. Trey is blown away by Electra's singing, he can't believe his ears. When Trey tells Electra he can head home and come early the next day Electra asks him to stay the night. Electra leads Trey up to her bedroom, he's laying in bed when she comes out of her bathroom. Trey pleasures Electra then they make love. After they both wake the next morning they get breakfast together. Electra heads to the studio to finish up her tracks, when they are finished she walks Trey out. Trey tells Electra she should rest after all the recordings she did. Trey gets a message he's needed for a job so he heads off. Trey heads to the hardware store after his long day. When Trey is leaving the hardware store he runs into someone he's been helping on the side he doesn't want his father to know about. While they are talking his father comes around the corner. While Trey talks to his father about what he's been doing Electra's parents come up behind him. Electra's parents find out about Trey fixing the electric in their house, she didn't want them to know about. Electra takes a long bath then head to her room to take a nap. Electra gets a message from Trey about what he told her parents. Trey waits around for Electra to message him back but he doesn't hear from her, she's taking a nap. When Electra wakes up she goes to find Trey, she helps him with one of his jobs. Trey asks Electra if she would like to have dinner with him, she wants to make it official they are dating. So Electra calls her mother to let her know she is going on a date with Trey and she's won't be home. After they have a nice dinner they head back to Trey's place. Trey takes her to his bedroom, where he pleasures her then they make love. Two years later, Trey and Electra are married. Electra's mother got the news out about her daughter's wedding but then they had a small wedding at her parents. Trey and Electra are on their honeymoon, she's not sure who's beach front property this belongs to but they have the whole island to themselves. Electra feels like she should pull out her notebook and write down some lyrics. Instead Electra lets it wash over her, like the waves lapping on the shore.

I liked the story 'Shock to the Heart' by Haley Travis. It's about a woman that lives in the shadow of her musician parents. Her mother especially is all about show business and tries to set her daughter up with sons of famous people. Electra prefers to be seen as herself, not her famous parents' daughter. When her parents leave for a weekend engagement, Electra goes into their recording studio to do some of her own recordings privately. Thanks to an electrical short in the wall outlet, she has to call the number of the electrician who previously worked on the studio. The electrician's grown son replies to the message and comes to fix the electrical problem which turn out to be more than a short and the job will take all weekend to repair because he will have to cut into the wall to repair water damage and replace the wires. Which is fine with Trey the electrician that immediately thinks that Electra is the most enchanting woman he has ever seen. Not only is she beautiful, but she is friendly and has a fun sense of humor and they seem to bond right away. Electra is smitten with the handsome electrician and as they visit while he works, she is so happy that he only cares about her for herself and not as the daughter of someone famous. She gladly acts as his assistant holding the flashlight and soon, they are happily spending time together. In his heart he knows right away that he has found the person he wants to spend his life with, but he doesn't want to come on too strong to her and scare her away. She secretly hopes he does take her seriously, but she is also afraid of how her mother will take it and will either try to create some publicity out of it or outright try to forbid it. it is an interesting storyline.

I love billionaire and rock star romances just as much as the next romance lover but give me a regular, blue collar, hard working man any ol’ day and I’ll be tickled pink.

Trey, the MMC, an electrician and the FMC’s knight in shining armor when she accidentally burned up some wiring, is the kind of man we all need in our life from time to time. Tender, adoring, supportive and the perfect partner in crime!

The FMC, Electra, is the shy daughter of hippie musicians. She’s very reserved due to the lack of privacy she experienced growing up and extremely private causing her to feel like she had to constantly sneak around in order to keep certain things to herself. She couldn’t have asked for a more perfect partner in crime than Trey, the gorgeous electrician who worked tirelessly on repairs for something she shouldn’t have even TOUCHED in order to have them finished in time before her parents returned home so they’d be none the wiser.

Trey is THE MAN! He’s the sweetest guy but man, does he have a dirty mouth! 🤔 It’s really too bad we can’t have a man made-to-order ‘cause I’m thinking I’d like more than a few of his attributes in mine!

There was no third act breakup here which, combined with Mr. Hot Stuff himself, made me feel like I’d won the romance lovers lottery. For angsty lovers, this might not be your favorite but if you prefer sweet instalove, this is YOUR book!! 5 SWOONY STARS!!!.

Haley brings up in for a GREAT Good with his hands, Season 2 book!!

Electra, the daughter of rather outspoken musicians, and always out for headline parents. just wanted one weekend when her parents are away to secretly finally record some songs she doesn't ever want to see the light of day. She does NOT expect a outlet to spark and short out everything.

She knows the electrician who originally wired the studio. When she calls in a panic, she meets Trey, the electrician's song. Trey is about to soothe Electra's nerves and stop her panic attack. She can't believe this gorgeous man is so alm and willing to help.

They spend the weekend fixing the studio from the damage of water, and making the electric safe. They also get to know each other, and can't deny the white hot attraction. Trey can't help the attraction, and how it feels so right.

They are bonding with work, getting to know each other with dates, and realize they want to make this real and permanent life together.

This will give you all the hot and steamy, innocent, and route for the couple, but its unconventional and makes the vibe that much sweeter, and steamy!

Electra is the daughter of somewhat weird musician parents that had included her from when she was a baby as part of their image so she didn't want any involvement, a more simple life as her current wants. But she had been written the songs and music that she wanted to get recorded in her parents' home studio while they are gone. But as she starts, an outlet blows with smoke coming out. Time to call the electrician who did the original work; she got his son who works with him. Trey shows up after getting a text from his dad. When the door opens, instead a quick job as he had hoped; now he hopes that it is a long job because she is 'enchanting'. And so starts a job taking time to see why the outlet blew. Time to see what a possible future might be like. Will Electra's parents accept Trey? Does Electra want a relationship with Trey? Will Electra be able to hide her planned music and songs to be completed before her parents return?.

She goes to the studio that she normally never sets foot in. Making that decision will forever change her life. Something happens and sparks fall. She immediately calls the electrician to come out and see what has happened and get it fixed. It all has to be fixed before her parents arrive back home.
In walks Trey and even more sparks fly. Trey is a simple blue collar guy just trying to make a living. But he instantly sees that there is so much more to Electra if only someone took the time to believe in her. I absolutely loved each and every single moment between these two. It was hot instant and downright lovable. These two are perfect for each other and the writer brings that right to the page.

Electra is the offspring of famous parents, she prefers to be out of the spotlight. When they are away for a weekend, she decides to use their studio to record her songs, they are just for her. There is a spark and some smoke, she needs to get this fixed before they come home. She remembers the electrician that put in the equipment and calls. Except he does not show up his gorgeous son does.

Trey is almost rendered speechless but the woman who opens the door. There is more than one thing that cause the short and it will take all weekend to complete. The more time he spends with her the more he knows she is the one for him.

I loved Shock to the Heart: Good With His Hands: Season 2. Electra needs help and fast when she almost sets the house in fire. She calls an electrician and Trey comes. They have an instant connection but she comes from a famous family and he doesn’t have a lot to offer her. The good news is Electra doesn’t want that life but what will happen when her family finds out about them? I loved the storyline and the characters. He’s a protective and will do everything to make sure she is comfortable. I would definitely recommend this book and the series.

It begins as a musical adventure...

...and becomes a love story.
Sparks fly from the moment they meet, but as much as Electra loves the lightning bolt that is their chemistry, she prefers the quiet moments, the sweet gestures, the thoughtful actions and the love behind their lust. Although she does also really, really like the dirty talkin' too!
Trey is sweet and thoughtful, confident but not pushy, he's encouraging but also respectful....a genuinely nice guy, who is down to earth and willing to worship his woman - no big show, or flashy announcements, no press and plenty of privacy.....to do that worshiping!

I tried to decide what typical trope this falls into and I couldn’t. It’s got a little forced proximity but it’s more than that. There’s instant chemistry and a charged connection but there’s also a foundation that they build together that binds them. Electra and Trey are both awesome characters and you want to see them together because they both balance the other. Of course there’s plenty of steamy moments but a whole lot of heart. So freaking good!!.

Electra and Trey come from two different worlds. Her parents are famous and outgoing but she's quiet and shy and Trey is an electrician. When Electra decides to record songs at her parent's studio she ends up having an electrical problem and Trey comes to the rescue and sparks fly between them. This is an opposites attract, steamy, age gap romance with believable and well developed characters. The writing is well done, and I cheered Electra and Trey on to get their happily ever after. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

Getting an electrical shock on your lip while testing a mic is not good. Neither is the smoke coming from the wall. Trey, the electrician is there to help. But the current bed is flowing between Electra and Trey is unmistakable. There are some things people just wanna keep personal and because there is her parents public personality. Somethings just need to be private. good read on a little bit about being electrician and repairing the wall and how to use time wisely. Heartfelt.

Electra just wanted to use her parents' recording studio while they were away. It should have been simple but turned into a weekend project with things shorted out.

Trey has been working for his dad as an electrician, but most time when he shows up, he is questioned about his abilities. When he shows up at the studio, Trey is surprised that Electra was not what he was expecting.

Good read that was a nice escape that also warms your heart.

What a wonderful well written feel good story. Electra and Trey are perfect especially when the sparks fly for them. Electra is in her parents recording studio recording songs she had written for herself when the lights go out. She calls an electrician, Trey shows up and more sparks fly. This is the perfect romantic read, great in depth characters, so well written and I loved it.

This just wasn’t written well. I hated both characters. I quit around 50% complete. The dialogue was just off for me and did not appeal.

Maybe someone else would like it but it’s a no and a DNF from me.

A very enjoyable read. I liked the instant connection, appreciation and their ability to effectively communicate. Together they were the perfect match. Reading this story just made me smile. Loved their epilogue.

This is a good book. I like that he was an electrician and that he had some much patience with her. Her mother was a piece of work, but came around in the end.
