Tabitha Murphy is no stranger to tragedy. After losing both parents as an infant, she's being raised by her aunt and a very special cat. Although she's descended from a long line of wytches, Tabitha has shown no sign of any powers whatsoever. Without magic, she won't be allowed to attend the school where her aunt teaches. In fact, with no better options, Tabitha plans to attend UCLA in the fall and live a mundane life. During an afternoon out with friends after their last day of high school, she halfheartedly shares french fries and milkshakes at the local malt shoppe and agrees to go to a carnival in town later that afternoon. That’s when something happens that shocks her to her core. Something that will change the course of her life forever.

Ever Mind the Rule of Three is a 120,000 word urban fantasy story suitable for all ages. No AI was used to write this book or create its cover.
Samaire Wynne grew up in a lot of different places, and now happily resides on the East Coast of America, laboring away at writing stories every day. She is an animal lover with far too many pets, yet she still muses how she’d like to add even more. A lover of all things night and gothic, she also loves to read and reread her favorite books. Owned by a cat named Tyrion, she can be found haunting the shadows and mists that hang low over the hills of southern Virginia.
I expected a story about a teen getting her magic in, going to school. I didn't expect THAT! I won't let the cat out of the bag here, but I really loved reading this book and I'm anxious for book 2! Write more, faster! Lol
I loved how humorous and lighthearted this book started, then how serious it got. I especially loved Grimalkin, the cat! He stole the show! Can't wait for book 2!
A Harry Potter magic college story. A teen graduates high school, and that day her magic appears so she can attend the magic college her aunt runs, instead of UCLA. She is the most special girl ever (and her parents are dead), so not only does aunt run the school, but her magic cat is also the power source for the school and her bloodline is the strongest and she has the family super wand.
And the cat is also a handsome human male space alien. The school is otherwise all female students. The Voldemort is a threat, but also easily handled by the aunt until he is not. And he is the aunt's old lover.
I did not see any signs of AI, but this was obviously cribbed from the first Harry. Lucky for everyone it was well done. But she does come off as 12 instead of 18, a lot.
Loved the characters and setting. Story had mysteries and twists. My favorite character is the cat! I can’t wait for the 2nd book in series to come out in 2 weeks!
