Pack Rivals, Part One hit my radar right around its initial release, but I didn't want to read it until the second part came out so that I could just binge the duet in one go, and make sure I didn't forget any major plot points or characters. So, I waited... And the second the second book was released I started the duet.

Spoiler alert: it was not worth the wait.

I truly do not know if I can be bothered to write two separate reviews for the two separate books in this duet, so you'll have to excuse me for combining everything into one jumbled mess. Spoilers ahead.

Let's talk.

1. Our Alphas. The way that these dudes are almost so interchangable with one another is sad. As you read the books, it becomes clear that Axel & Angel mirror each other, Connor & Silver mirror each other, and Hardy & Nate mirror each other. Not completely, but enough that it's obvious. We get close to 800 pages of story, and by the end Silver and Nate are the only alphas that stick out in any way. Silver, because of how protective he comes off. And Nate because he's a bit of an unhinged killer but a huge cinnamon roll for our FMC. Hardy seems like an immature knockoff of Nate, and Connor seems like he was a quiet loner in high school and that's all we get. Axel and Angel are just... alpha-holes who fight. Also, the twist with Axel and Angel? Pretty obvious right off the bat the second the ONE singular similarity between them was mentioned.

And these alphas all have one thing in common: They're so far up their own assholes that they don't deserve an omega at all. Neither pack had a nest? Nor did they think of making one once they started courting the FMC? And speaking of 'courting' her... Despite them taking her out on a few dates, they don't actually ever truly court her. Nate is sort of the only one because he buys her a dress, gives her his prized possession (his knife), and constantly cooks for her and leaves meals without demanding anything of her. The rest of them do not do a single thing to actually court our FMC.

I'm not saying I'm expecting something crazy here, but I am saying that with 800 pages of story, I expected to get more character development out of our supposed heroes.

2. Karl The Ex. This was a major frustration for me. The ex's entire purpose throughout this duet is to act as a foil to our 'heroes,' and show just how BAD he was and how GREAT they are. When the story starts all we know is that Karl The Ex left our FMC at the altar for another woman. But as the story goes on, we get snippets of their relationship where it becomes clear that Karl The Ex was definitely an abuser. He controlled the FMC's life, what she wore, what she did, and he constantly tore her down. But... We don't dive into this at all? It's casually mentioned (again, to make the heroes look better) and then entirely glossed over, as if this poor woman doesn't have trauma from this years long abusive relationship.

Inevitably, our FMC is in her home town where Karl The Ex has returned. As a reader, we're definitely expecting some sort of moment between the two of them, especially after learning from the FMC's mom that Karl The Ex has been trying to weasel his way back into her life somehow. But that never happens??? All we get is her kissing Connor and Karl seeing as he drives by. How anticlimactic is that? Why build this up at all, in any way shape or form?

3. Not Like Other Girls Omegas. I'm not trying to sound like a cantankerous bitch. But I can't help but have beef with books where the author pulls this awful trope. In this book it's even worse, because our FMC isn't just different from other girls. She's different from other omegas. They all have zero personality and only care about materialistic things. But our FMC is different because she DOESN'T care about money, and she gives our Alphas what they really want; a kinky omega.

I mean... Barf. It's misogynistic and tired, and I genuinely think our story would have been much more interesting if we had other female omegas who befriended our FMC and added to the story. The current set up makes it seem like all of these omegas should be fighting for these two packs, but what do they have to offer? Money? That's it? Give me more depth, please.

4. The dichotomy of light and dark. This book is intended to be a sweeter omegaverse, but we're dealing with some plot points that are definitely more dark. Which could be fine, if it was well built out but, of course, it's not.

Just one example of how this doesn't work is with our main climax, where the guys rescue the FMC from the snakebites at the end of book 2. Their personas seem to teeter between legal, normal business men and potentially men who have more power and questionable morals and rule the city. It's unclear about where on that moral line they fall, so it just doesn't work very well.

Overall, this was a 2 star series for me. It could have maybe been saved a little more by better spice or by showing us their bonding, but we didn't even get that.

Woah this was a lot in the best way. What an awesome Omegaverse read.Let’s just say Bea is one lucky lady. Book Two picks up right where Book One left off, and I loved the slow burn. The spice was perfect. I know some readers said it wasn’t spicy enough, but I disagree Hanna let the story breathe, and that slower build made the romance even more satisfying when it finally hit. I couldn’t put it down.

Tropes I loved:

Why-choose / pack romance
Alpha/Omega dynamics
Slow burn with payoff

💌Verdict: Hanna ruined me so bad 😭😭

I gobbled book 1 down and have impatiently waited for book 2.

I have a lot of feels about this book. I don’t want to come off as a hater because the book was good, but at the same time… it was disappointing. It was too repetitive. Two abductions while she’s in heat by the same people. I thought it absolutely silly that the two richest most influential packs in the city weren’t able to find information and solve the mystery. I mean.. they didn’t look into the identity of the dr she attacked? Or the pharmaceutical companies since they knew that’s why she was abducted?

The characters are all mirrored. Their mannerism and personalities are so similar to the other they are basically the same characters. The aunt and the guys mom. The sister and Courtney. Axel and angel. Conner and Silver. Hardy and Nate. Honestly, Nate was my favorite. He and silver were the only two who’s personalities truly stuck out. The sex was meh. She talked about having foursomes and fivesomes, and exploring different kinks but we don’t actually get to read much about it.

The lackluster moment with her cruel emotionally abusive ex was LAME!! All he did was drive by her kissing Conner. There was so much to be said and she deserved to finally put him in his place and stick up for herself. I was looking forward to the moment when he realized she’s an omega and she has six hot rich alphas! I hated the scene with the ex best friend. It was stupid and fuck her cousin for telling the bitch where to find Bea.

A huge disappointment is that the bonding mate bites were not written about.
In the epilogue she talks about having them but we don’t actually get to experience the moment which is an absolute failure. I mean she had the opportunity to write about it during her heat!! I wanted to know about the moment. I don’t understand why she skipped it. All that build up and groveling and nothing…..BOOOOOO

Lastly, I need follow ups on did the mom and aunt reconcile? What happened to the guys mom? Was she still alive?

Another book i started but stopped at 52% and haven’t picked back up in weeks. It just wasn’t working for me, things started to feel repetitive and annoyed me. Really lackluster moment with her ex and for her to consider forgiving her best friend is like cute in theory, but not what i want to read. The guys are basically the same but in different packs. It was weird.

Omegaverse is not for me and i need to be reminded next time one sounds interesting lol.

Such a good read!!!
This is part 2 and it picks up right after the 1st. It’s a very sweet omegaverse and the FMC is very relatable. Bea has 6 guys… yes 6 and they’re all swoon worthy! They had me laughing and they loved their omega. I enjoyed from beginning to end!!

The boys finally realized the errors in their behavior and instead of just talking and apologizing they actually took action which was nice to see.

The book could have been a little shorter though, it was drawn out after Bea had forgiven them.

Other than that it was a fun book that was easy to read through and especially after the improvement of the main male characters

If you like swoony Alpha men, super hot and steamy intimate scenes, and a reverse harem you will love this Omegaverse story. The author got this one perfectly right it has the moments to burn up your Kindle, but also the ones that make you swoon. I love that her main character Bea is independent, stubborn, and unsure and doesn’t just jump in. The men are sweet, strong, and loving with a little taste of bad-boy vibes. This was the perfect ending to this duet.

The prologue of this story starts with a tense sibling rivalry and ends dramatically. Axel and Angel apparently have been after the same girl before. Then we jump to Connor and Nate, Silver, and Hardy. But of course, the leaders of the pack, brothers Axel and Angel seem to matter the most. This division between packs is still there but they seem to have something all 6 of them can agree to fight for. Bea is a heroine in her own right and I love how she isn't just lying down and taking what is offered or her situation instead she is stubborn, independent, and smart. No damsel in distress heroine here. These men are gonna have to work hard to get her back.

This book starts to get steamy as hearts starts to heal. Omg, the author has the best scene in this book. I don’t think I’ll forget that laugh-out-loud scene anytime soon. I’m rolling over here as I read this. This book goes from uncertainties to absolutely swoony. The author doesn’t leave out the heat and mature content ramping it up little by little to where you may be hot and bothered as well. Some of the scenes are so smoking hot they could be erotica but the storyline in this book is so perfect. This book may just be your new favorite read.

Why they can’t just have their happily ever after and an insanely hot heat idk but the author does include knotting in the storyline. I guess the storyline needed the excitement of the who and why solved but honestly I had forgotten about this little snag. The author ramps up the action in the storyline bringing you on an emotional journey as well. I love how this ended with all the things resolved and a sweet and heartfelt HEA.

Making amends…

In part two we see all six alphas come together and work to find Bea. Axel and Angel must put aside their fued in hopes to rescue Bea.
Nate, Hardy, Connor and Silver have been torn in half when Axel and Angel made them choose sides.
When Bea is rescued she stands her ground and tells the alphas that she doesn’t want them because she can’t make that choice. Plus she’s still hurt by their actions in part one. She goes through her heat on her own. It’s painful and soul sucking but she was not willing to let the alphas help her through it.

Angel and Axel plus the rest of the guys still try to get her to change her mind. They soon realize that they must work on themselves and to try to let the past go. With Bea on their minds and heart they know the solution will be hard but it needs to be done. They must come together as one pack to show Bea they can change and that she doesn’t have to choose. They each try to make their amends to her, breaking down her walls slowly and steadily.

This was a pretty good conclusion. I just was disappointed that we didn’t get the bonding scene between Bea and the six alphas.

Also I miss the breeding aspect that Omegaverse is based on. We get the heats, nests and knots in this but where’s that breeding component?

The next book will be about Axel and Angel’s little sister. She was a lot of fun in Pack Rivals part two.

Satisfying end to a two part series.

HEA, RH, M⁴F¹ , omegaverse, thrilling, steamy story

OK, there is something a little wrong with me. I always gravitate to the slightly unhinged, weapon, loving, darkness drowning male characters...so yes, Nate is so cute 😍 and dangerous!

Okay, happy I got that out.

This is book 2, and it starts off with a kidnapping after a betrayal. It all seems too much, overreacting and unnecessary... but it's not.
Bea has had her life turned over. She's just played out the 1st episode of Friends as Rachel and runs to the city to recover from heartbreak. Only to find out she's not what she thought she was. Her hormones control her, and she just wants to find her feet. Instead, she's whisked into the world of Alphas and Onegas, the expectations, games, heats! And worse, she's also a hot commodity, to Alphas and the black market medical world.
Yeah, on the surface, her story should be Cinderalla, but book reality is she's just been Cinderalla-slapped with mud pie filled... with arse vomit, and now she's just trying to get clean and find herself again.

The series goes from slow to fast, hot, burning, smut high feast of action. But I do like Bea and how she navigates it all, how she weighs up her betrayals to come to a new conclusion and how she tries to find herself in her new world.
I also like the MMCs, the similarities between the packs, and yet still different. How they also reevaluate everything to find themselves and their future.

While the relationship is the main plot, the side plot is thrilling as well. I kind of wish we found out more about why Bea was so special, but it's a side plot, so not knowing doesn't harm the overall story.

Man, some of those steamy smex scenes were hot 🔥 🥵 🔥🥵🔥

THE WAY I WAS GIGGLING, BLUSHING, KICKING MY FEET, AND SCREAMING FOR THIS PACK

I was waiting for this one after I read the first book AND IT FINALLY CAME OUT!
Men groveling and begging? 2 Packs who hate each other coming together for a girl? Sign me tf up.
The angst in these two books brought me to my knees. All the men were such perfection together, and I honestly love the whole dynamic. Seeing them all together fixed a hole in me.

I loved how all the characters were distinctly different and didn't try to be one another or try to have one character trait (like being 'mean') but they all had depth. Personally I loved Nate and Silver the most, although I'd let them all do the dirty with me.
Also the chapter where they had a shopping trip for Bea's nest MADE ME CRY TEARS OF LAUGHTER bro that was so funny I could not. Molly slayed.

Listen, I'm not even going to start with all the problems this book has with the plot holes, an 'not like other girls' omega, and the abusive ex that was just there to make the hero's look good.
The thing is that this is a cliche, (duh) and I'm rating it by pure enjoyment.

All in all a really cute and easy to read duology, with some yummy angst and easy to love characters.
The only problem I had was um... well my little dark romance heart loved Micko (the main villain). He's tattooed, hot and says things like:

“There, there little pussy cat. That’s enough. Put your claws away.” . “Look at you, all riled up, all hot and bothered. You know what I think would calm you right down, little pussy cat? A good rutting. How about you get down on your hands and knees for me? How about I have you purring on the end of my cock? How does that sound, little pussy cat?”

YUMMMM YES DADDY I AM ALREADY ON MY KNEES

His fingers are calloused against my tongue. I bite down hard on them but once again he doesn’t even flinch. Doesn’t even register when I sink my incisors deep into his skin. “Ahh, I do like a pussy cat who puts up a fight. It makes this all the more entertaining. Do you want to run again, little cat? See how quickly I catch you this time? Catch you and drag you to the ground.”

THE WAY I WOULD WANT HIM TO CATCH ME

So.... the six men were great and all but could I add a seventh? Thank you 😇

Loved it

This author has never disappointed me. I’ve read most of the books she’s written and they’re all consistently well done. They have a storyline yet are still steamy and grab my attention. This was no different. I love what a unique storyline this was. Sometimes they can seem recycled by an author. But hers are always different. Really enjoyed it.🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥/5

Interesting take on omegaverse but it really was just meh…. Biggest issue is that there were no descriptions of the characters. I shouldn’t be finding out randomly in book 2 that someone has a man bun….

I certainly had my ups and downs with this read (see also my review of part one). While I did enjoy reading it, it didn't quite live up to the hype I had initially felt. Generally, I am a fan of Hannah Haze's writing, and she is one of my favorite authors in the Omegaverse. However, it's rare for her books to be flawless. But let's delve into the details for the second part of the duet.

Starting with the positives, I was relieved to find that Bea wasn't that annoying anymore. That has a lot to do with the fact, that she is finally coming into her own and knowing her worth. She actually demands what she wants.

And I liked the way the packs grow together again and reconcile. They worked their issues out. There are some sweet, heartwarming moments. All that gave the characters more depth and a background. I really felt their connection with each other through that. Before, I had a hard time connecting with them.

However, the negatives overshadowed the positives for me. Firstly, the villains in the story didn't receive the punishments they deserved. Karl, who had been Bea's abuser for many years, only appeared in one scene throughout the entire book. There was no showdown or even a conversation to address his actions, leaving me feeling unsatisfied.

As for Dr. Hannah and her alphas, while we did get a confrontation and an explanation of their deeds, their punishment mirrored Karl's. They managed to escape the consequences of their actions. One could argue that the death of Micko could be seen as their punishment. However, given his character, I couldn't feel any sorrow for his demise. Dr. Hannah and her remaining alphas seemed to have a better life without him. Overall, I struggled to understand Dr. Hannah's character as a whole. Her behavior during Bea's captivity conveyed fear, but I couldn't comprehend why. In the end, she appeared as shallow as the other omegas of that society, shown in her reasoning she did it all for money. All that makes it difficult to reconcile her actions throughout the story and understand her properly.

The only persons, who get a punishment, were Melody and her alpha Don Cleaver. Not that I am against that, since both aren't good characters considering their actions throughout the story. But I think in comparison to the doctor and Karl, they were only passively involved in Bea's negative experiences. Don Cleaver did fund her abduction. But he never attacked Bea directly. Whereas Melody was that mean girl character, you will never like, but she didn't try to use Bea for anything or did physically harm her. She was just a dishonest character, that played to be nice and was interested in money and materialistic things, but behind your back she would talk about you and spread rumors. That is of course some sort of bullying, but it didn't really effect Bea, since she stayed away from her and the high society omegas in general. And she was protected by her alphas.

This leads me to my second issue. In general, I find the typical portrayal of villains in these books to be lacking depth. As I mentioned earlier, stereotypes are often employed in the Omegaverse, which fails to reflect reality. Even villains deserve multifaceted characterization. Regarding Micko, I couldn't understand why he couldn't have been a decent partner to his omega. Was it solely to avoid any sadness upon his death? Considering the way Dr. Hannah described their initial meeting and connection, I had expected more from their relationship. At least the two remaining alphas appeared genuinely interested in and content with her, without the need for a second omega.

Another thing would be the name situation. I mean from the beginning of part one and in part two she was called Bea. So, I assumed it was her name or some nickname in relation to Bea, like Beatrice. But then it was suddenly Phoebe? I would have never thought that. Same with Axel. He was called like that in both parts. Then near the end, he tells her his real name is Alex and how that happened. But why was it never mentioned before? And it came so out of the blue, that it just felt strange. Furthermore, it was never explained, why the guys called their packs York and Boston. When I google that, I get a sports reference for the New York Yankees and the Boston Red Sox. Since I'm German, I don't know if that's where the author got the idea from. But doesn't really matter, since it wasn't in any way explained why they named their packs like that.

Otherwise, a lot of things were left unsolved again. For instance, the relationship between Bea's mom and her aunt was never explored further. We didn't witness any reconciliation or closure between them. And what about all the characters, that were part of book one, but then in book two they are like ghosts? Aunt Julia was a prominent character in the first book, and made several appearances, but in this second part she didn't make a single appearance. She was merely mentioned passively. And Bea's friend Ellie was absent as well.

And there is no bonding scene in this book. It's told in the passive. But we can read it as a bonus scene. It's just, that the bonding scene is a vocal point for me in the Omegaverse and should be part of the main book. And not just a bonus scenes. But that's just me.

But all that doesn't mean I didn't enjoy reading it. Unfortunately, it just wasn't something, that excited me that much. I liked reading it, and enjoyed it. But that's all. I didn't feel a deep connection to the characters and, as I already pictured, it wasn't that satisfying for me.

So, I still give it 4 stars. Even with all the issues I had with it, but I still read it fairly quick. So, it holds my attention and I liked the story/idea behind it. Just the execution was not perfect.

I found this to be a bit disappointing. She gets abducted twice...by the same people. And all her 6 rich and super influential alphas couldn't keep or safe or didn't even try hunting down who took her. There was no resolution with the ex who hurt her so bad. All of the characters felt the same It was hard to tell who was who. She wants to have all the threesome and foursomes but we never saw it. I'm just glad that she didn't immediately take them back.

As I predicted, I think if books 1 and 2 would have been combined into one book, I would have enjoyed them more. Book 2 is a big improvement on the first book, mostly because the FMC (Bea) has found her voice. In the first book, she makes a lot of declarations that she waffles on almost immediately. In this book, she does much better with declaring she wants something and then sticking to it - specifically with slowing down the relationships she has been developing with the men in the book. The author did a nice job of giving Bea alone time with each of the guys, and each of the individual scenes were sweet. As the reader, these scenes also helped me a lot in differentiating the men. With this many male characters, the multi POV actually was confusing at times. While I think some of them had strong enough individualized voices (Nate, Axel, and Connor especially), the others sometimes blurred together so I had to check who I was reading.

I did appreciate that these men had to do some work to get back in the good graces of the FMC. You know how sometimes the MMC does something absolutely heinous but says sorry once and all is well? Not the case here -- they did some apologizing as a group, as individuals, they do some emotional work, they say sorry some more, and they do some spoiling. Then, they basically reorganize their lives completely to make their pack dynamic work. I will say that all of this comes with a huge assist from a new character who is a MMC's sister - but she ended up being my favorite character overall! (I'm very excited that she will be getting her own book next.)

There is a lot of sex in this book, but I actually didn't find it to be as spicy as some of the author's other books. And for as many men are in this book, there aren't a lot of explicit group situations either, instead most of the scenes are between Bea and just one of the men. Honestly, this felt much more authentic to the story rather than the author just throwing huge group scenes in, as there was a lot of relationship development to do.

Overall, I would recommend and say you should definitely read this duology back-to-back.

(There is also a bonus scene on the author's website and at the risk of sounding harsh...you don't need to read it. It's strangely poor quality coming from this author, and felt like a throwaway. Also, I do not believe that six large men could bite their petite omega around the neck ALL AT ONCE. I'm never, ever going to believe you.)

I was so disappointed by this book. We have the weakest plot, the weakest plans, and the reveals just get boring.

The girl was abducted and the first thing she does is going back to her lil town where she won’t get any security around? Guuuuuuurl, and the Serena part was really necessary???? Is like I realize I can forgive and then bye bye, and then before saying goodbye she is like oh ok you can run and put security around cuz I just remembered that it was a horrible times when I was abducted so is ok but again I’m mad that you are rich and can protect me but that doesn’t matter cuz I need to go. And is ok to make room to think but at least she could have asked for security knowing that all the kidnap was recent but nope she just goes. I mean I know they knew and they watcher her but she is irresponsable of her own being. Be aware girl

And then her mom? wtf she was mostly fine with the cheating of the ex to what? To save face? And then got mad cuz her daughter is an omega????? Her dad tho, the only reasonable one, leaving with her to the city

and well, she is back but then they realize they have to come clean with the development and she is like DONT DO IT, I mean if she is so concerned with the land she could propose a lot of stuff to make buildings for the community is not a smart decision, maybe they could present her (as she is a girl from a small town, a country pumpkin lol half of the time I feel like she is too naive for her own good) with their own plans to use the land properly, but nope just millions unused and idk but it felt like I can’t believe they are reach and are in the security business but don’t secure their places WHEN A KIDNAP ALREADY HAPPENED, tighten the security around the house, you stupid men.

And then the doctor, and the gross man, ugh it was too easy, and just bad execution, and idk I hated that

I couldn’t enjoy the development in their relationship cuz I was mad about all the stuff happening around that didn’t made sense. She didn’t made sense. So you know your men are hella rich but you refuse to use THEIR MONEY for YOUR EDUCATION? Giiiiiirl bfr for something that will help you and you accept other stuff but you put a line on COLLEGE FEES?

Anyway hated the sex scenes too, to many man no many holes. And not enough one on one. Hardy my man how could you refuse glasses when you couldn’t see the individual LEAFs boy no why? You are super blind. Nate was calm cuz he knew she was the only thing that could calm him. Angel and ALEX wtf why did you do such a lame name reveal

Sorry just mad about this, you mean they have a security company? They suck at this, if I had an omega I wanted to protect I wouldn’t use their company cuz their omega was stolen TWICE that’s a big risk. Please change profession silver it’s not for you

Pack Rivals Part Two finally gives us the answers that every reader has been asking for... why the pack's hate each other so much and what do they need to overcome in order for Bea to get the pack she deserves, the one her soul yearns for. Turns out Axel and Angel are brothers and had a very big disagreement over an omega in the past leaving both brothers hurt beyond measure. Never fear though because they do have the sassy, spicy mouthed omega sister who is more than willing to tell them the honest truth about their actions but it's Bea who finally makes them realise the pain and the hurt they are causing to everyone including their other pack mates.

Left feeling bereft and like life couldn't get any worse Bea attempts to re-harden her heart against the six men that it cries out for and yet have betrayed her so hurtfully. Not even the heroic rescue helps change Bea's mind as she goes through her first heat, in excruciating pain and most importantly alone. Of course, as mentioned before Bea's soul demands her alpha's as they attempt to make it up to her and prove their trustworthiness.

I loved the added little scene with Serena, the ex-best friend and I honestly don't think if I'd been in that situation if I could react the same as Bea. We get to meet her parents as she returns briefly home thinking that's where she needs to be, her Dad is hilarious and it's clear how much he loves his daughter. I still do hope he goes to "check" her ex's brakes!

The heat, smut and spicy are turned up as the undeniable attraction between them all reaches a boiling point! I loved all these steamy scenes so much, especially with Nate involved because he is my favourite. As my favourite I believe he needs special mention of how he begins to take care of Bea instantly, the food parcels that he makes her, taking care of her. Nate such a little puppy as the youngest of all the packmates and yet despite his obviously crazy, psychotic thoughts he is the sweetest, he adores Bea, she's the only one for him, cutting through his darkness and saving him so you can know he's not letting her go without a fight. He is just the absolute sweetest!

Overall, this is a really emotional journey for Bea and her men as they find their happily ever after. It was so sweet and light and perfect with the added little bits of drama to keep things interesting and I am so sad to see them go. Hopefully we'll see more of them in Molly's book which I am super excited to read next!

SPOILERS

i suspected that axel & angel were brothers. they had a falling out ten years ago because of an omega. angel caught axel kissing his girlfriend. axel was trying to prove to his brother that his girlfriend shouldn’t be trusted. he was trying to gather evidence that she wasn’t serious about angel. celia came into axel, kissed him but all angel saw was his brother kissing his girlfriend that he wanted to introduce to his pack.

axel & angel storm into the heat clinic only to find their omega gone. they find an alternate exit in her assigned room that leads straight to the parking garage. they hack into the security camera and find video footage of bea being carried into a vehicle. they track the license plate and all six heavily armed and pissed off alphas infiltrate the building she was being held in but she was moved. they find a bed a bed with restraints and they start to clear the building.

they find her and escape through a melee of bullets. she asks them to take her home and they listen to her. she goes through her heat alone without a pack.

she goes back to naw creek and they visit her there, determined to make things right. she applies for a trainee program for an ecological association. they find out that her previous doctor prescribed her heat inducing medication rather than blockers causing her to be nearing heat so soon.

axel & angel’s mom gets rushed to the hospital in the middle of the night, and nathaniel goes with them. their house gets raided by a nearby gang, stealing phoebe a second time. they rescue her, but axel gets shot in the process. he heals in the hospital.

melody’s pack was the investor pulling the strings for the pharmaceutical company. in the epilogue, she gets married to all six of her alphas a year later.

*scratches hair*

*coughs*

*looks at the ceiling*

so This is awkward....??

... I've never felt like this before... It's bizarre.

I've never flipped from hating two characters enough to want them dead ala Connor&Axel to loving them (well okay axel is still my least favorite but I don't hate him anymore but I do now love Connor) again.

That 1 scene between Angel&Axel was so healing for me. SO HEALING, A WEIGHT LIFTED FROM MY CHEST TYPE HEALING

Like THE 6 BONDING, THE 6 SAYING THEY MISSED EACH OTHER, THE 6 WORKING TOGETHER&sharing stories of the past (&god I never even thought about that, how painful it must be for them to lose half their friends for a decade) IT GOT ME SO EMOTIONAL

I didn't realize how much I NEEDed that for my anger from book 1 to go away completely.

Like I'm so freaking happy.

this is so WEIRD.

Like, I so expected to give book 2- 2 stars or less

but I'm so content right now with the harem finally mending their friendship/brotherhood, that the main Main gripe I have now with book 2 is Bea taking so long to forgive them?

Which again makes zero sense because I usually hate it when the MC forgives the men so quickly BUT AFTER SILVER PICKED UP TRASH ON THE BEACH WITH HER, AFTER NATE SAT WITH HER ON THE PORCH&THEY SHOVED CAKE IN EACH OTHERS FACES I'd forgotten why she needed to be mad at them, at all.

Like what is this sorcery???!

I have little nit picks (bea being so back&forth+WE NEVER GOT TO SEE THEM BOND OFFICIALLY???  HELLO?? why jump past that when that is so vital+ that female doctors 180 from decent to super villian still irks me+the fact that even though I tolerate axel now, I still wouldn't have been sad if he died for real)

that almost made this into a 4.9 out of 5 type of 4 rating but seeing as this has never EVER happened (me rating book 1 in a series a low rating&me loving book 2 so much that I literally couldn't give this a low rating if I tried) to me before.... 5 stars it is...

1.5 star⭐️

Idk that I've ever felt so cheated by a book lol. I don't think it's unreasonable to assume that anyone picking up an omegaverse book is doing so because they want the specific elements that come with that (heats, bonding, etc.). This book (I'm grouping parts 1 & 2 together at this point) failed to provide any of that. I'm not exaggerating when I say this girl went through 3 different heats without any of the alphas...and yes they had met and were already seeing each other for all 3. She just went through them alone... repeatedly. I'm sorry but 20 HOURS of audio and we only get one small little mini heat glimpse in the last hour followed by a real quick "oh yeah we bonded" epilogue. What was the point?

I actually thought I was going crazy listening to this. This was probably the cleanest omegaverse I've ever read, and real talk; who is looking for that lol??? Is there even a market for that?? The plot point was not hashed out well at all and that it was done twice in a row was a little redundant in my opinion.

I've never read an omagaverse with a pack this large and I felt like it was a little unnecessary because it was never fully shown what that would look like. The spice that did occur in this book was 95% one on one so why bother having so many guys? 4 probably would have sufficed, especially since most of them seemed interchangeable anyway. I just seriously can not wrap my head around an omegaverse book that skips over heats and bonding, like why not just write a contemporary or paranormal romance at that point????

I'm a bit torn on if I should even attempt the next one because if it's anything like this one I know I'm going to hate it but my library also has so few omegaverse audiobooks that I feel like I have to attempt it 😭

I will diiiieeee on the hill that a duology is the perfect length for an omegaverse HEA! This read drew us in with epic tension between a latent omega (26yo and just presented!) choosing between 2 packs- Pack Boston, Pack York OR her independence (which universally, comes with a high price to pay.)

Part One delves into Bea's transformation from beta to omega and features some of my fave inter-pack connected dynamics. I am a sucker for a tr@uma filled- tension filled journey and this delivers on many levels. Charcaters arcs are Haze' strong suit, whilst we get the insta-lust iconic of the genre, the long game was carved out clearly. Not to mention- the cliffy at the end of part one had me clutching my chest. 🙈 Who does she chooose!?!?! Though, that was NOT the only question I had, I assure you 😉😉

In the second part, the road paved to a HEA is rocky. Get ready for the grovel, character development of some pretty rich, self centred 🍆 annndddd (the best part) an omega who doesn't give in easily. The love story goes hand in hand with a mysterious plot, as well as a big focus on brotherhood. The drama was not only centered around predictable alpha/omega events, the variation to the story kept me hooked. The side charcaters were sensational, and the alpha's had me falling with their actions speaking louder than words.

Keeping this spoiler free- the Alpha personality types represented had something for every reader, the side characters and feminine energy was sensational and there was not a dull moment! If you are an omegaverse lover, this most definitely better be on your list! 5 ⭐

Book 1: 4 stars
Book 2: 4 stars

From Book 1 Review: "This might be my favorite story from Hannah Haze so far. It definitely scratches the sweet omegaverse itch that has be nigh impossible since Lola & the Millionaires: Part One set my expectations way too high (though Pack Darling: Part One comes close). It think this is a good contender with those two duos!"

We pick up immediately after the cliffhanger in Book 1 of Bea's kidnap. She gets out, but refreshingly, still holds the guys at arms length because of their previous betrayal. We go through Bea's heat in agony. Bea eventually decides to go home and see her family. All the while, the guys are heartbroken, yet come back together. A major plot point early on is their repairing of their split packs, reuniting as one, even if Bea doesn't accept them.

In addition to the romance side of things, there's the underlying threat of who took Bea and why. We end up I highkey think Dr. Hannah's character wasn't though out well, and I wasn't satisfied with how that subplot went.

Smut definitely picks up in book 2, and we end up with an HEA at the end.

If you like sweet omegaverse RH, you'll definitely enjoy this duo.
