Three courageous dogs. A merciless war. When the thirsty desert craves their humans' blood, can these brave K-9s defend their partners, or will they pay with their lives? Lovely, the springer spaniel, started as a jail puppy. Rambo, the Dutch shepherd, failed his first mission. Prozak, the Golden Retriever, got betrayed. When life throws them through insurmountable challenges, will their loyalty and courage see them through?
Rada was born in Transylvania, ten miles away from Dracula's Castle. Growing up between communists and vampires taught her that humans are fickle, but one can always rely on dogs and books. After she immigrated to join her husband, she went to medical school, then worked in the ER for years, but she still speaks like Dracula's cousin. Her thrillers feature Dr. Emma Steele, a not-so-young ER doc with a moody teenage daughter and a fondness for wine. If blood, gore and serial killers turn you on, check out OVERDOSE, MERCY, and POISON. If you're into dark medical humor, check her STAY AWAY FROM MY ER. But if you're into dogs, the K-9 Heroes series is for you. To celebrate Gypsy, Rada's beloved German Shepherd, Emma adopted a quirky, bacon-loving K-9 named Guinness who runs her life through Mercy and Poison.
Three fabulous dogs that are sent to war then left to find their own way to a home.
From the dog’s point of view. Three adorable lovable dogs that are sent to war to save the men and women that are fighting wherever we need them. They are hero’s that go from hunting mines in Cambodia to fighting the Taliban by finding explosives of all kinds. Then we have the ones sent home to their families and the ones left behind to make their way home however they can.
This series of books was very different than any I've read before. I don't know how much of them is true, but even if it's just a little bit, it made me sad, but happy too, because they have happy endings. If you love dogs and enjoy reading about them, you wi!l not want to stop reading this series!
The story from a dog’s point of view was special. Seeing their feelings and how they help their owners take walks. Each dog was special. Prozac was my favorite. How he made it out of Afghanistan was wonderful. A few tears and a lot of smiles are in these stories.
Love the stories from the dog’s perspective. Prozak’s life had lots of adventures with all sorts of twists and turns. Loved the story line and happy ending
