Lullaby Dies

From the first moment he saw her, Ghost hungered for Sidonie. Instant lust, certainly, but maybe instant love as well. Her beautiful dark skin. Her glorious ass. Their first night together he knew would never be their last.

Then a madman began to stalk the Death Riders. Killing. Setting fires. Sending bombs. His targets are the women. Leia. Chase. And Sidonie. No one is safe.

There’s nothing Ghost wouldn’t do to protect the woman he’s fallen head over heels for, and time is running out. If he can’t figure out why a madman is bent on destroying the Death Riders, there won’t be a future with Sidonie.

I began reading my mom’s Harlequin Presents in the fifth grade, and from the first story I knew I wanted to write romance novels.

I like writing about the very ordinary girl thrust into extraordinary circumstances, so my heroines will probably never be lawyers, doctors or corporate high rollers. I try to write characters who aren't cookie cutters and push myself to write complicated situations that I have no idea how to resolve, forcing me to think outside the box. I love writing characters who are real, complex and full of flaws, heroes and heroines who find redemption through love.

I’ve been pretty fortunate in life to experience some amazing things. I’ve lived in France, traveled throughout Europe, Australia and New Zealand.

I am a mom to an amazing boy. I live in Los Angeles, surrounded by friends and family.
I hate washing dishes but I love cooking. I hate washing clothes but I love wearing them.

Writing my bio is difficult because I never know what to say so I hope you like this one. My favorite color is red but I look best in black (it’s slimming). I hate people who don't pick up their dog's crap in public places, people who don’t use turn signals, and I really hate people who are rude and condescending. I especially hate discrimination in all and every form. And although I love holding a book in my hand, I absolutely adore my e-reader, whom I’ve named Ruby. So many books at the touch of a button!

Also, Elizabeth Monvey is my pseudonym for writing steamy MM romance. LOVE is LOVE!

MC Groundhog Day

This is an MC book with a twist of groundhog day mixed with it. It does have a bit of paranormal to it with Ghost, who is a member of The Death Riders MC, reliving the days over again. With a crazy person stalking the women of the club and Sidonie, the woman whom Ghost has fallen for is in danger as well. This book was a page turner trying to figure out what would happen next.

I liked the ‘Happy Death Day’ vibes this book had. I enjoyed the replay and mystery quite a bit. Our MCs were likable and had a relationship I enjoyed seeing although I skimmed over the sexy times. They just aren’t written in a way that worked for me.

The first chapter of this book that you read when sampling didn’t really attract me to this story, but once I got past that chapter I liked the writing more.

Overall a quick, fun read.

Because this is in the middle of the series, I went and read the other books in the series. OMG> I’m addicted. There is a bit of the supernatural in each of the books, but it all culminates in this one. Ghost, one of the Death Riders MC members goes to the local Honkey-Tonk and meets Sidonie, the singer. They flirt outrageously, like seriously steamy stuff. After Ghost goes every night Sidonie works and talks to her, they finally get together. They are so cute and they are hilarious with one liners at each other. They are hot and steamy together and I needed my AC on. Lol. After some really scary stuff, someone dies. Ghost has to live through Groundhog Day and every time he tries to save everyone, it doesn’t matter. This book had me crying hysterically, but I knew since it was a loop that something had to happen to get a mostly happy ending. I knew who the bad guy was from almost the beginning as I wracked my brain on why of everything. Mentions of some of my fave shows happened. I love all the characters and a lot of my questions from the previous books were answered. I hope there will still be more books in this series, or at least in the same world.

This gets 4 stars just for trying to think outside the box a little. Its a MC meets Groundhog Day meets Ghost; with a bit of Sixth Sense tossed in, type of situation here.

The main characters, Sidonie and Jeff (club name Ghost) were a solid couple, even with the mostly instalove thrown in. So they happen quickly. As the plot moves along, Jeff and Sidonie get caught up in a vortex of murder and mystery and its really up to Jeff to save the day. I liked that Jeff didn't treat Sidonie like an airhead. He told her what was happening when he got in over his head with things. He did that with the supporting characters as well. They all worked together get it done.

Overall, it was actually an unexpectedly crazy fun sort of read. It was purely for entertainment reading, so I went with it.

Not bad at all.

This story had me on the edge of my seat. If you're a fan of 'Goundhog Day' (I've never seen it) or the 'The Butterfly Effect' (seen it) then you will enjoy this story.

Ghost meets Sidonie (the one) while in a bar. She sings, he falls, they single/mingle and it's on from there. One morning Ghost wakes up, kisses Sidonie and starts his day, only to be told later that Sidonie has been murdered and he's tasked with identifying her body. He is devastated but meets a mysterious person while at the morgue who spews a cryptic message.

That night, Ghost goes to sleep and wakes up and he's stunned to see that Sidonie is alive. In order to make sure she lives, he makes different moves, convinces Sidonie not to go to work only for someone else to die instead and so it goes on and on. Each day reveals a little more about the who and why, now Ghost and his MC have to put the pieces together to save them all before it's too late.

Highly, highly Recommended: Read It!

not for me

The story was ok if you like paranormal stories. As an aside, I understand that Ghost had to have an origin story to explain how he became a biker however, I really disliked how the issue with his brother was dealt with. Yes he is responsible for his own actions and shouldn’t have helped his brother (and we don’t even know the circumstances), however his brother is also at fault. He should have never put Ghost in a position to loose it all, just because he is bigger brother. It really annoyed me that everyone seemed to think that Ghost should get over loosing everything in the name of knowing family. Where was the concern for him? I personally think Ghost should love his brother from afar.

A spicy hot read is in store for those brave enough to take the plunge into Lullaby Dies by author Beth D. Carter.
Member of the Death Riders motorcycle club Ghost falls hard in lust when he first meets Sidonie but could love be far behind?
As they explore the possibilities a little mystery and danger intrudes putting more than one members life in peril.
This was a nicely written story with good characterizations, a hint of paranormal, intrigue, family dynamics, and action.
I enjoyed this story which was a good one, and the first in this genre for me so I’m glad I started with this authors book!.

A storyline with a difference!

Suspense, secrets, action, mystery, passion, steam and love this storyline has it all!

Ghost would do anything for the woman he loved but when things took a turn for the worst and he was living each day with a mystery, he knew he had step up to save his woman and his crew.

A few surprises and shocks along the way keeps you glued to this storyline with a HEA guaranteed.

Lullaby Dies by Beth D Carter is a MC romance BUT has so much more in the story line. There is romance, mystery/suspense, action/adventure and it’s all wrapped up into a very intriguing plot line. I also really enjoyed the characters. There is romance and steam as you expect with any good MC novel. Ghost is a man that loves his woman truly and deeply! The suspense keeps you guessing and on your toes as you keep cheering for Ghost and Sidonie. Beth D Carter does an excellent job with this book and I can not wait to read more by her. I highly recommend this book!

All the books in this series have a paranormal element to them. This book is no exception. I wasn't expecting the direction this book took though. Ghost has to solve the mystery of who is out to get the club before the woman he loves or any of the others in the club die.

Interesting read. I like Ghost and Sidonie. Ghost finally learns that he can no longer blame his brother for his own decisions which allows him to move past his bitterness.

Another great book from the Death Riders MC series. And just like the other parts, you are also stuck with the fifth part of your book. The story of Sidonie and Ghost keeps you busy and you can hardly put your book down. Ghost is tasked with finding out who is the one who is targeting his club members aka his brothers before they all become victims. There is drama, danger, action, violence, romance and many steamy and hot moments. Highly recommended!

Lullaby Dies is the fifth book in the Death Riders MC series. What a page-turner with some very interesting twists! The book perfectly combines MC action, drama, and the supernatural. The steamy, hot romance between Sidonie Brendel and Ghost (aka Jeffrey Rockwood) is the icing on the cake. There is also suspense and literally a day that never ends. You will not be able to put this book down!.

Ghost is head over heals for the lovely Sidonie form the first meeting. He knows he will never be able let her go. What continues is a version of groundhog day, Ghost has to keep decisions to protect one person but then someone else is hurt.

Can he figure out how who is causing the trouble before he loses Sidonie forever.

So good! I have read the other novels in this series and really enjoyed them. This novel did not disappoint. I love when a novel can make me laugh, and I love great banter and dialogue. This novel had both. I loved Ghost and Sidonie. Their chemistry was so good! I love when a novel can make me laugh, almost brings me to tears and finally leaves me with a happy heart. I loved watching Ghost and Sidonie fall in love. So good! I can't wait to see what this author has coming next.

I didnt even imagine what a spin Ghost was going to bring us on. We have the pleasure of the brotherhood doing what they do best, protecting their women. I love that there was no unneeded drama but the suspense that was meant to be solved & the love enforced with a sassy Sin.

Lullaby Dies by Beth D Carter is the fifth book in her series, Death Riders MC. The stories are interconnected but can be read as single entries. The story starts with some of the background for Ghost and Sidonie’s connection, then moves into their present situation. There is an unknown person or person targeting the significant others of club members. Ghost must stop the carnage before he literally runs out of time. Ms. Carter gives us a passionate and gritty MC love story with a paranormal slant. Unusual and absolutely enjoyable!
