This is the 2nd book in The Saviors Duet. Please ensure you have read "Until Then" before beginning this
They want to break me, watch me surrender. Don’t they know I’m stronger now? I won’t let them take my freedom. When my knight in shining armor becomes my reason for breathing, no one will ever make me bow to them again.
No one except my knight.
Tyrone is brutal in the way he delivers my justice but he says I am deserving of more. He wants every scar redrawn and every memory replaced. He gives me strength to collapse the system that has held me hostage. We both know it doesn’t come without consequence. No one stands against my father and lives to tell the tale. Will I be the exception or will I be the next corpse in the morgue?
Don’t fall for the survivors. That’s what I always tell myself. Until I meet Eva, that is. She is the exception to all rules. I will abandon every method of justice just so she can seek her own. From the moment I saw those pretty, Emerald green eyes, I knew I would throw caution to the wind and burn the world to get this woman justice. My love knows no limits when it comes to my Eva. My Princess.
This is a DARK romance with MANY triggers and it is not for everyone. Please visit my website for a full list of triggers and tropes. Your mental health matters.
Emily Klepp is a Western North Carolina native residing in eastern Tennessee with her loving husband and two beautiful children. She has been writing since she was fourteen years old as a way to cope with her anxiety. She hopes to help others be able to speak their truth by writing about topics that are considered too taboo for societal norms.
I am not ok, really, I'm not - I'm wrecked, then happy, then sobbing, then smiling. Ever read a book that took you on such an emotional journey that you had a tissue in one hand, a BOB in the other and was laughing out loud? That is this book. Eva and Tyrone's journey is a gut wrenching roller coaster with more triggers than a wild west shootout. It is an incredibly written book about surviving real life monsters and overcoming your trauma to be your best self, in whatever way that manifests. I would give this more than 5 stars if I could, just for the ride it took me on!
*PLEASE READ ALL TRIGGER WARNINGS Only After is book 2 of the Saviors Duet! Tyrone was so loved he got his own book because of his poetic justice of 🍇ing the 🍇ist! This book battles through a lot of trauma…Eva and Tyrone build a special relationship even though Eva has battled sexual assault for so long that it becomes normal. But to be honest….
“This is entirely about making him feel the way he made that little girl feel. Sometimes that means humiliation….”
As with book one please check the triggers before continuing as scenes/topics are not for everyone.
I must say I loved Amara and Zander’s story but Tyrone and Eva’s story has to be my favourite.
The fact that both Tyrone and Eva have had traumatic pasts hit hard. Just both Tyrone and Eva’s past/presents was heartbreaking, then reading their struggles and coping together just really gave more love to the characters. I loved the fact that it was also emphasised that everyone handles and copes with trauma in different ways, there’s no right or wrong way when it comes to how a persons deals, which I think is really important.
Emily took me through a spiral of emotions with this book parts had me angry, parts had a tear run down my cheek and parts had me smiling from ear to ear. It was definitely a roller coaster effect. At the end of the end of the book it had me questioning am I okay.
It’s dark, pitch black, and so so twisted. Definitely, 100% consider the trigger warnings before reading this book. Read them twice and make sure you can handle vivid descriptions and multiple instances/mentions before diving in.
Even then, no matter how prepared you are for the potential triggers and no matter how trigger-less you are - just know - this book is going to effect you. The trauma that Eva and Tyrone help each other to over come is deep and dark, and the writing is done so well you really feel thrown into the MCs frame of mind.
This whole book was a roller coaster of emotions with rescue, re-victimization, and finally revenge. I think Emily handles the different coping mechanisms and different trauma responses well. Not everyone responds to trauma the same and the perspective presented is very unique compared to other dark romance that handles similar topics.
It was also great to see some of my favorite characters again and hear a little bit about how Zander/Amara and Diego/Eliza are doing. Overall, a well-written book and a powerful story.
this has been beautifully written. Lots of emotions through the book, specially during the second part. Loved both main characters, specially Tyrone, but that I knew already from the first book. It is very delicate to write about the topics that this duet serie talk about, and it is even more complicated to do it respectfully and not just honoring, but also reminding through the dialects that if it even happens to anyone, they can go through it and have always someone telling the right words to overcome this
Received as an ARC in return for my honest review.

Emily what have you done to me?!? I am not ok after reading this, and I mean that in the best way possible. If you’re after a story that will well and truly break you just to put you back together at the end with a pretty pink bow then this is the book for you.
Tyrone and Eva’s stories were absolutely heartbreaking but oh so beautifully written. I’m so happy they got their HEA in the end.
Emily! You really had me bawling my eyes out over here!
⚠️⚠️⚠️ Guys, first and foremost, check the triggers. This one is HEAVY!! ⚠️⚠️⚠️
I ABSOLUTELY adore Eva, and her STRENGTH. She goes through so much, and then her world comes crashing down, again!! She is such a STRONG BADA$$ FMC! Then you have Tyrone; TYRONEEE!!! 😭😭😭 He shows Eva what it’s truly like to be loved and treated, only to go through hell, again!
Your writing, is phenomenal, the way I was GLUED to the pages! I just couldn’t get enough of Eva and Ty! You really give a voice to those who sometimes struggle SO HARD to have! I applaud you for this series, and for anyone and everyone who has had to overcome any type of SA. 🫶🏼 Your healing matters. 🫶🏼
Eva and Tyrone This was a definite emotional roller-coaster for me. There were moments of pain and anger, but then hope and love. In addition, there was drama, suspense, and even more feelings.
I believe Tyrone and Eva were not only meant to find each other, but also help to heal each other. Both main characters, had experienced trauma and horrible things in their life. They are true survivors, but also warriors. I loved it!
Oh my god, this book is amazing!!!!!!! I loved the story arc between the characters Tyrone and Eva, you want them to succeed and have a happily ever after. The twist at the last chapter of the book, oh my god, I think I stopped breathing. I definitely agree with the author, check your triggers before reading this book because it will have you feeling some type of way.
OKAYYY I was losing my shit the entire time. Brace yourself because i was an emotional fucking wreck but it was worth it! I love their story and Eva is so so strong. I love how Zander & Amara were involved as well, same with Diego & Eliza. The revenge is always the sweetest. 🤌🏻 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟
Dark, depraved, Taboo and just all around f'd up? Yes please. Emily Klepp does it best! While reading Until Then, Tyrone was a favourite side character, so excited that he got his own story.
Read the triggers if they are a concern…. MINDBLOWN!!! Emily has an amazing way to make her characters lifelike. Eve and Tyrone’s story is pure poetic justice! Both being SA survivors they give people hope that you can heal! Everyone survives trauma different and it’s shown in this book! I wish I could re read this series for the first time!

Emily never ceases to amaze me. There is so much emotion in this story that I just had to cry. The pain that Eva and Ty carry with them because of all the traumas they have had to endure. This is a very dark story, so be sure to read the trigger warnings before starting this book.
I’m not gonna lie to you and say that you’re gonna be happy go lucky reading this. i am truly not okay. i am happy, sad, mad, and who even knows after that ❤️ this book healed me, ripped me apart, and healed me again. i truly cannot get enough of this. i love the relationship between ty and eva. the trauma they both endured and how they ended up saving each other. they were made for each other in so many ways. now im gonna go cry and wonder how im supposed to just pick up another book after this. 😅❤️🩹 i need more 😮💨
If you are looking to do “One Handed Reading” this book isn’t for you and most important check your trigger warnings this book contains Rape and if that is a problem for you then this book wasn’t written for you. Ty and Eva go through a lot in this book from poetic justice and they bond over both being victims of sexual violence but they both come out better for it in this book the sex scenes are not meant to turn anyone on in my opinion but is show the very real reality of some survivors of sexual assault for some survivors they have no desire to have a sexual relationship after the assault and some have hyper sexuality both very normal and very healthy. This book felt more like a teaching experience I know if more women and men were taught this stuff we could get rid of more stigmas around both way of coupling with trauma but I feel that this book is worth the read I gave it 5⭐️ and I won’t be rating the spice because I don’t feel like it applies here
Only After is an emotional rollercoaster ride. What you get...... ♡Age Gap ♡Found Family ♡Size Difference ♡Unhinged Strong FMC ♡Cinnamon Roll MMC ♡Interracial ♡Touch Her and ☠️ ♡Over The Top Protective MMC ♡Lots of Trauma ♡Revenge ♡Healing After Trauma
We get Tyrone's back story from Until Then, and get introduced to Eva, who is rescued by Zander, Diego, and Tyrone.
Eva has a tragic story, but she learns to heal with Tyrone's help. They both help each other heal and work through their trauma.
⚠️This is a very dark book. Please read the trigger warnings before starting it⚠️
First things first, the CW are a must read, understand, research, and learn the specific ways people cope with and react to life-changing situations
I wrote 3 different reviews for this book. This one is rated pg-13.
Your mental health matters, please read with caution.
You would think after hearing how much this book was going to “wreck” me, I would have listened and prepared myself better! Emily completely ripped me apart, once again. I wanted to curl up in my blanket burrito in my dark room and consume this book in one sitting. Apparently, since I am an adult and have to do something called a job. Once the opportunity presented itself (in the form of insomnia) I finally got to finish this freaking AMAZING book!
The love I have for the characters, Emily writes about. They have so much strength and force to overcome some awful things that happen in everyday life, not just in stories. Things no one should have to endure. I am thankful for someone like Emily to write this story with such courage and compassion. She is a beautiful advocate and supportive individual. I am glad to have found her books.
The story of Eva and Tyrone becoming one another’s savior was absolute perfection. The way Tyrone never made Eva’s feelings invalid, he talked openly and honestly with her, just as she did the same with him. They fought hard to overcome their adversity. Their feelings of anger and need for revenge were unmistakable. Then, when everything felt in some way like a normal life, that’s when cowards came out of hiding. The straight blows to my heart had me crying while my lip quivered. I don’t even know how to explain the story after the crazy twist Emily threw our way. I won't spoil anything, just make sure to clear your whole day for Only After.
Please always reach out if you’re stuck in a situation that you need help escaping. We can all be each other’s saviors. 🖤
“Because they can only break me if I give up. If I don’t give up, I am only bruised.”
“ I think healing is possible. You can heal but not forget.”
Wow, Emily, what else could I possibly say. I knew from previous reads that Tyronne's story would be something else unlike anything I've read before, and you, my dear lady, did not disappoint. As always, you give trauma victims a voice like no other. I love how you emphasize that healing from trauma is not a straight path, and not everyone heals the same!
Tyronne 🫣🫠 If you have read other works of Emily's, then you know he's a different sort of revenge hero. He doesn't leave revenge to the rules he gets even no matter what. But in this read, we get a deep look at his trauma as well. Mental Health well being with men is such a taboo subject, and because of that, so many men suffer in silence. Emily tells Tyronnes story from a place of pure un edited honesty and because of that it might not be a story for the faint of heart and as always I highly suggest checking your triggers and watching tour own mental health. But his story also shows that men having emotions and trauma does not make them weak it does not take away their masculinity it makes them human.
Eva, she is one amazing FMC and Tyronnes perfect match. I love her story and how the dark of her trauma doesn't disappear but instead is rerouted to be her dark. No one can break you without you giving them permission to. Her journey, like most trauma victims, is not a pretty its bruised, scared, and it's not a straight path from start to finish (as it never is), but her strength grows with her setbacks she finds herself with Tyronne and from there she becomes a true force of nature un willing to let anyone break her ever again.
As always, dear friends, please check tour triggers. Your mental health matters.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶🌶
Trauma does not shrink. We simply learn to adapt and work around it.
I read this last month and because of my small break from socials I am only just getting around to reviewing it. I’m still feeling slightly numb, completely and utterly broken after reading this.
‘ Only after, will I know peace. ‘
Eva & Tyrone’s story. Spice, love, trauma and those beautiful survivors. Grief… I knew immediately that I needed to read this one, as soon as I heard it was being written. I was hooked on Tyrone ever since I read Until Then. That big bear didn’t disappoint, I’m so glad he got his chance at a story, no matter how heart shattering it was.
I was a little over half way in.. when it happened. My heart had of course been breaking for them throughout but it shattered completely at this point. I had seen the teasers.. I didn’t think EK would do us like that. Nor did I think it would be as unexpected as it was!
I promise, none of my review is a spoiler. So before you assume something, you are wrong. You won’t expect what happens, before or during. Only after, you will you know, what I mean.
A story of survivors, just like every brook she writes, all equally as sad but with incredibly moving and beautiful, different types of healing. She shows in her writing how every survivor heals in their own time and their own way and explains to this world, how it’s okay to do so.
It shows whilst being a brilliant FICTIONAL story, the reality that many face in the real world. Again, incredibly impactful story and as long as you are okay with the triggers, I would recommend reading this!
EK, you done it again.

First let me start off by saying please before you read this book check the TWs as they are there and they are heavy. They're listed for a reason and it's so YOU the reader does not struggle.
Now on to this wonderfully written book. I was excited to read this book. I wanted a Ty book as I wanted to know his story as well as his journey and let me just say it did not disappoint. It had me from the very beginning. It hit me in the feels a time or two…ok it was more than that, but what can I say? I love a gripping book that will make me feel. I fell in love with the characters once again. I felt their pain, struggles, love, chemistry and connection. I loved how Emily wrote things about how survivors deal with things after SA and how they don't always deal or heal in the same way. It's never a one and done process, it's a battle they will face for a long time and if one deals with it in a different way than another that's perfectly ok.
Tyrone and Eva are just wow. They are perfect together. They were made for each other. They each help the other through difficult moments. Leaning on one another and communicating when things get tough. Bringing them back to the present. You could feel the chemistry between the two from the start and it just grew more powerful. Eva held onto her love for Ty and his for her through difficult times she faced. Just as Ty did the same. They may have hit a rough patch in their journey but they came out on top stronger than ever even through it all.
Trigger warnings are an absolute MUST to read before you proceed down this very dark and emotional journey! This is one of those books that you will find difficult to stop reading to continue with real life and there was only one time that I had to walk away from it! As much as I would love to say why, there is no way in that I would spoil that experience for anyone. I simply loved all the (good) characters, those other "evil" creatures are simply too well created to hope they meet their fate by the hands of some extremely vengeful heroes.
A really creative and well devised plot that truly examines societies morales and the incideous side of some twisted minds. It's a story about survival, resiliency, inner strength, revenge, betrayal, greed but one that holds so much more in love and compassion. I will admit it was a truly emotional read that will leave you simply wanting to continue reading to just find out how it will finish and possibly how crushed your heart will feel. I have since learnt that the Author has really done her research into certain aspects of the story and not simply "glorified" a romance story with what readers seem to want to read when it comes to these sorts of stories. The thing that I love so much about this story and the first in the series is the strength and ability of the human mind to overcome any sort of trauma and its ability to help us survive even the most hideous actions. Definitely something I will read again and I'm certain even though I know how things conclude I will still be emotionally challenged with.
I really enjoyed this book! Better than book 1. It's dark, twisted, and loaded with triggers. I would rate this book in the black category due to content. So if you have triggers, beware, there is a whole page or 2 of them. (Personally, I have no triggers)
Emily delivers when it comes to character building in a traumatic setting. Whether you love, sympathize, or want to throat punch one of them with a pair of rusty scissors, she's got you.
This Duet takes you on a more behind the scenes look into a plot of sex trafficking, grooming, and abuse with a dauntless motorcycle crew on their own reconnaissance missions and delivering justice for the victims and survivors of SA and trafficking.
Only After had me hooked from start to finish. In fact, I couldn't put it down. I finished it in one day. I didn't want it to end.
This book follows the story of Tyrone and Eva from their PoVs with crossover from characters in book 1, but it is a continuation in the timeline.
The story was unpredictable, which I love. I don't have many negative things to say. There were a couple of little things that were just my own opinion but did not take away from the story at all. I felt it lightly repetitive, which builds into a reason of routine, and near the end, a couple chapters felt more rushed than they should have been.
Overall, it was an amazing read I would deff recommend
Tyrone & Eva's story very easily makes my top 3 of hers. Some people believe that publishing quickly waters down the story, but this is most definitely not one of those cases.
As an SA survivor, one of the main things I always wished was that my attacker(s) could have felt the things they did to me, and I got to live that through Only After.
Tyrone, a big burly member of an MC and Eva, the daughter of a human trafficker are trauma bonded when she escapes from the clothes of her father.
The damage that is done to this woman is just mindblowing, and when you learn Tyrone's story and why he dishes out the punishments he does, you soon fall in love with a character, that realistically, you should find deplorable.
Unfortunately, while this certain story is fictional, the circumstances and the storyline are not. These things happen in the real world. 95% of the women I've met in this community are also proud survivors of, in my opinion, the worst thing that can happen to someone.
The trust that is stolen, the damage that is left behind, and the feeling of violation never quite leave you.
Healing from SA isn't linear. While some, like myself, turn to celibacy because they can't bear the idea of being touched, others turn to those they love & trust to rid themselves of the person's trust. No way is incorrect. And no SA survivor should ever be judged for that.
I actually enjoyed this book more than book 1. These are really emotionally deep books, as well as taboo, and I love it!
This Dark Romance is a emotional book 2 of The Saviors Duet. These are very taboo reads, please proceed with caution. Check all trigger warnings before reading these books. Both books focus heavily on trauma, and the healing that comes with it. The romance is this book is a slow build, with attraction. Both MCs have their own trauma so the relationship grows slowly. The book does have descriptive spice. Just like the previous book, a lot of the descriptive scenes are not always between the MCs. Many are focused on the situations prior to their relationship. The book moves at a steady pace following the rescue of the FMC. She has SA trauma that has caused her, emotional and physical pain. The MMC has his own trauma, and fears he has to overcome. It follows the growing romance between the two, their healing, and even set backs. The characters are written with an emotional depth that is required to make this story great. The author went above, and beyond with this making the book an emotional roller coaster for the reader. The world building was done nicely, focusing heavily on the saving of victims, and the crime rings doing the crimes. The author did well making it complex, but easy to understand.
My second ARC from Emily Klepp and another story showing strength, determination and the power to take back control from those who have been taken from in some of the most depraved ways that humans can inflict upon each other. There are many triggers in this book, so please take them seriously before going on to read it. It is again a powerful story of survival and also shows just how much power found family can have. Emily writes gritty and dark storylines well, but again, we got our guaranteed HEA, even if not in the most conventional sense and I love it! This book is an emotional roller coaster, so be prepared for the ride; I laughed, cried, cheered and sat with my mouth agape.
I read this book in one sitting and absolutely devoured it, like I did with the first. It was lovely to see familiar characters from the first book and to find out more about their past, including events that ultimately brought them into each other’s lives.
I sincerely hope that there are going to be more books in this series from Emily. This quote resonated most powerfully with me and I know it will with others: ‘…they can only break me if I give up. If I don’t give up, I am only bruised.’
Thank you Emily Klepp for this next instalment. All views are my own and this is my honest review in exchange for an ARC.
What this author puts her characters through. Poetic and Dark. This author has the most amazing ability to take a horrific and dark situation and show something truly heartfelt in the end. This book was different for me because Ty and Eva both have horrific events happen in this book. It isn't just The FMC that is having to face her traumas and heal the MMC has to as well.
Ty goes in thinking he will help her and keep her safe. Thinking he can help her heal from the events that occurred. Little did he realize his attraction to her and his emotional pull would challenge him to confront his own past trauma to try to heal from it. Little did he realize that she was going to be by his side to help him, just like he is for her. Like all of her books you need to check your trigger warnings this book contains SA and is graphic. Do not take her warnings lightly.
My favorite things about this book and her writing is she doesn't paint these characters as victims, but as survivors. She gives her characters strength and the ability to find and use their voice. She doesn't make their journey simple, but when reading this I feel more connected with them and can watch their growth, downfalls, and how they overcome those challenges.
This book. This book had me in all my feels. I don't even know what to say about this, but I'm gonna be real. I've seen some hate and bad reviews about Emily Klepps writing and her style. I am not one of them because I have no triggers. But as a person who has gone through SA, I am so glad that Emily wrote this and that I've read it. It was so relatable on so many levels. There were so many times that I would read and think "I've been there" or "damn, I've thought that too for so many years". I understand that not everyone is like me, or like Emily. Some people may get triggered by her writing. If that's the case, put the book down and move on. For me, this book was everything. I set it down last night after finishing it in one sitting and remember thinking "holy crap, that was so relatable, I could've written it if I could write worth a damn". I'm repeating myself but I am so glad that Emily wrote this one more than the others that I've read. She slays at dark and twisty. She's done her research. She may not be everyone's cup of tea, but she's mine and I'm better for it.
