MacArthur was a fifth-generation pastor, a popular author and conference speaker, and served as pastor-teacher of Grace Community Church in Sun Valley, California beginning in 1969, as well as President of The Master’s College (and the related Master’s Seminary) in Santa Clarita, California.

This is my first time reading the LSB and my first trip through any John MacArthur Study Bible. Both were thrilling journeys!
The LSB is now my favorite translation. Replacing 'LORD' with 'Yahweh' and 'servant' with 'slave', both to match the original languages, made such a difference when reading. Many other wonderful changes made this reading experience so meaningful!
MacArthur's notes brought meaning to areas that were previously mysterious or a bit confusing.
Highly recommend!

𝐋𝐒𝐁 𝐌𝐚𝐜𝐀𝐫𝐭𝐡𝐮𝐫 𝐒𝐭𝐮𝐝𝐲 𝐁𝐢𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐄𝐝𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐆𝐨𝐚𝐭𝐬𝐤𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 is so beautiful and soft. This is one of the few Goatskin Leather Bible’s I’ve owned.
I’m new to the Legacy Standard Bible (LSB) version. From what I understand, this English version translates original Hebrew, Greek, and Aramaic text in a word-for-word fashion. One of the main differences that stand out to me (so far) is using YAHWEH rather than GOD or LORD as the KJV and other versions use.
Because I grew up reading and studying KJV, it is my preferred version, but I do like to sometimes compare and read from other versions as well. Admittedly, sometimes my findings are confusing, but oftentimes it gives me a better or more full understanding of the text.
I like the abundance of verse-by verse study notes, and the daily Bible Reading Plans are well thought-out. The standard maps, charts, and such is also a plus, but I rarely spend much time on these additions. I LOVE that there are THREE attached satin bookmarks to hold my place, as I oftentimes look up different references etc. and tend to lose my place(s).
This Bible is the Brown Premium Goatskin Leather. It is comfy to grasp, lays flat, and has a standout appearance. I also have the black leather thumbed index style of this Bible that makes locating particular books or passages especially easy. This Goatskin leather Bible is so nice and makes a wonderful, meaningful, and gorgeous gift.
