Star x Karter, Lennon x Wahkeem and Skye x Mo
Messy, Messy, MESSY!!!!! The pages were littered with the mess! Whew chile…reading this book was like being a fly on the wall and watching someone else’s drama unfold. An urban soap opera is a better description! Lies, deception, jealousy, cheating, loss….it’s all there!
Then the way Jah was throwing those curve balls, she should have been a pitcher for a baseball team! She had me going to more recent series I’ve already read to piece some things together. Now some things were making more sense…..MESSY!
Jah is so creative and talented and the character development is top tier. The way she has intertwined these multiple series is mind boggling and I’m here for it!

Great Read
I’m tense reading this book. The drama is juicy the characters are well rounded. I only hate that Wah and Lennon are not being held accountable. They are gaslighting Arika. Sure, she’ll probably be a cheating villainous bitch in the next book, but they have been and are currently playing in her face. Lennon knows she’s out of line and she doesn’t care. I want to root for her but I can’t. Wah should have proposed to Arika or convinced her to move the gaslight her every time she’s right. He keeps saying “I really love my wife” but if I had to choose I wouldn’t choose her. These two are the villains. Star is spoiled. It’s annoying. Lennox … trash. Mel… young and dumb and in over her head in this new life. I hope everyone pulls their stuff together.
But seriously, I hope there’s accountability for Lennon and Wah and Arika doesn’t have to be a conniving snake for them to get their happily ever after bc of course they’ll skip off into the sunset by the time this is all said and done.

I truly dislike Wahkeem. I was ready to toss my iPad after this line, “I would end my marriage before I ended my friendship with Lennon.” Like does he even hear himself?! Arika is only acting jealous and insecure because HE gave her reasons to be! Wahkeem is definitely leader of F Boys international cause he can’t be serious. Gosh I hope in the finale Arika handles what needs to be handled.
I’m happy that Lennon finally came to her senses with Lark but she’s still stupid & now a homewrecker. That girl is slow slow.

I'm going to need part 3 like tomorrow, Sis! I don't want to read anything else until you give us part 3! Please don't have us wait too long.

I’m so glad I don’t have to wait for book 3!!! I ate this one up as well but I have to take a moment to acknowledge the Skye/Mo storyline. I’ve never read this in an Urban Fiction and it’s so refreshing. If only this was the norm in real life. Mo definitely my favorite. Lennon and Wahkeem…..JUST LOVE EACH OTHER. OMG.

I'm so happy that I decided to give pt2 a chance because it didn't disappoint. I can def say that the book was messy asf and the characters had growth and that's the main reason why I rated the book so high. The ending was insane ! I'm about to dig into pt3 (the final book)

Picking right up where book 1 ended, Sky’s story was so sad. My heart ached for her and everything she had to go through to be this confident strong woman. Mo surprised me didn’t expect his reaction to be that way. Learning his background was eye opening as well. Lennon really just needs to be alone. Lennox needs to leave men alone. Star and Karter both need to stop playing games. These cliffhangers will be the end of me

I thought book 1 was jaw dropping and then you hit me with book 2!! All i know is ASHLAND THE "THOT" needs her Aspirin dragged for the old and the new. SHAI has me wondering what her end game is after all is she is friends with ASHLAND. "DANGER WILL ROBINSON" CONFUFU EVERYWEHRE!! STAR STAR needs a little more time to mature. She is really a good friend... I need her to SING LIKE A BIRD... SORRY NOT SORRY MEL need to sit her HOT ASS Down somewhere at the same time she has not been taught a dayum thing so school is in session. SKYE needs to take that verse from "Bobby Womack's song" when skeletons come out of your closet and chase you all around the room and tell MO EVERYTHING QUICKLY!!!! I do not want to see her lonely and suicidal. LENNOX is just grimy and i would not trust him with my dog if i had one. What am i missing with him why is he the way that he is?? Lennon is in love with her best friend Waheem and they crossed the line and slept together. Arika wife of Waheem at recent miscarriage she trying to get him to leave Staten Island and moved back to Alatana to get him away from Lennon. Waheem is a love triangle caught between two women he loves them both. So much darma and pain. Lennon finally broke up with Lark come to find out he cheating on her with other women. Is Lennox ready to marry Shai are end up losing her in the end. Can't wait to find out what will happen next with Vanducci-Cromwell family.

Wahkeem and Lennon....messy,messy, messy. They are a very good example of young adults that needed guidace from healthy whole adults. So, much of their troubels could have been reduced if they communicated their feelings to each other.
Wahkeem and Arika, they not better than the best fri3nds. Wah knew love was not the reason he proposed. Arika belived what he presented in that moment, but once she saw what her intution was telling her was true, she should have dipped and consider it a lesson learned.
Karter and Star, one is more enotionally mature than the other. However, their is still room for growth.
Mo and Skye, I wasnt ready, but glad to see that Mo knows what he wants.
Lennox and Lark are men that need to sit with a professional to find the reson to their behaviora. They both apppear to have good women, but its not enough. Instead of leaving these ladies alone, they mistreat them.

For real, Lennon and Wah are trifling af. Eff them. I'm not rooting for them at all. Arika does not deserve this shit and rather than being adults and not pursuing anything until they were free, they decide to hook up behind Arika's back. What's more. They gaslighted Arika at every turn pretending to just be friends meanwhile confessing their love for one another. I am too done with them.
I'm worried about Skye. That dude Ricky is too close. I hope she let's Mo know what's going on.

Nope…Not Feeling It!!!
For some reason, Ms Jahqel J seems to think that a jaw dropping cliffhanger can make up for all of the BS before that. Unfortunately, it doesn’t! Where is the character development? Here it is book 2 of the series and they’re still making all of these dumb decisions. All of the characters make the stupidest decisions and then want to play victim. There is no accountability among any of them. Then after making all of these crazy decisions we have to suffer through chapter after chapter of them whining about their decisions that they made. It’s too much. I’m starting to hate this series. It feels like a waste of time.

The editing of this book was so poor that it often made the story difficult to follow. Referring to Giovanna as Vita. Karter switching to Carter or Mr. Vanducci was crazy! Skye knocking on Skye’s apartment door towards the end of the book was just….come on! There were so many more errors but these just really showed lack of attention.

Honestly this series is boring as hell. Everyone is childish and useless. I don’t really know why I haven’t DNF’ed it. The endings give u a shocker but overall this whole thing is messy and childish.
