No Smoke & Mirrors
Bravo! 👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽…Well done👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽! …Mission Accomplished!👏🏿👏🏾👏🏽 ….NO SMOKE & MIRRORS characters! “Taste The Smoke: Four20 Bae” - Book 5 of this April 20th anthology was an excellent read and the best book thusfar‼️More so, Ms. Lister’s characters Kenya & Alonso (others too) had depth, personalities, substance and moral/personal objectives that transcended a mary jane marathon getting “blitzed” & “blazed” out of mind, body and consciousness 24/7/365 🤷🏾♀️! Weed/cannabis didn’t dominate this story, “I don’t need THC since I have AMB” the individuals (except MJ 🤭🤣) nor this couple. Kudos to Alonso‼️His timing twice in a few hours was impressive & impeccable. I respect Alonso’s ear hustle 🤭 concern and attentiveness at the restaurant. That’s was the beginning of a potential conversation🤔…first official date…🌱…the exchange…🪴…”the hem up” 📏(it’s a man thing 🤭) …romance🦋…HEA💞🤎🤎💘‼️Congratulations, “Taste The Smoke” 🔥🔥🔥 all one hundred and sixteen pages‼️…and Kenya & Alonso journey makes sense‼️

Taste and Smoke…Kenya and Alonso!! 🔥🔥🔥
Let me tell you…I’m widowed, but if an “Alonso” walked up to me in a strange place just to make sure that I…a complete stranger…am okay, well, suffice to say, we’re having a conversation!! Now that is exactly how Kenya and Alonso met…in a club where she was stood up and he left his date after overhearing her phone call! So Kenya is upset, in tears, and Alonso being himself, couldn’t help but go check on her and sparks and smoke flew from the two of them!! Whew!! 😰
Now, did that grab your attention? There is so much more to this story and what a story it is!! This is a must read, as well as the other books in this series! Grab your copy and indulge!! I promise you’ll be glad you did!! Awesome, Awesome Book!! Sheryl…Yes, Ma’am…Kudos and Kudos!! 💜💜

Taste the smoke
I enjoyed this read from beginning to end. Compared to the other books in this anthology, this one incorporated the theme very loosely, but if you love a good love story with a happy ending, this book will not disappoint. I loved everything about the MMC Alonzo. He was caring, loving, compassionate, seemed sexy and wanted nothing more than to make Kenya happy. Their meeting happened by chance, but it looked like fate brought them together. Kenya was able to learn to go with the flow and feel loved and confident and safe by being with Alonzo and I loved to see that growth for her.

Stupid people miss all the good stuff
Alonzo had been seeing a young lady until she showed how simple she was. She was a hot mess and he was not having any of it. Kenya was at a place to meet a young man she had met recently. The night was not so good because her back injury was acting up. She was anxious but the pain came when her date called to cancel. Alonzo could not see a woman cry and not step in. Read how his simple "hello " changed both their lives. Ms Lister has done it again and I love this read.

Sheryl Always Delivers!!!
I was curious about how 4\20 would fit Into this story and was not disappointed. I loved learning about some benefits of CBD and not just the smoking aspect. The love story and the chance meeting was beautiful and gave us hope that love can heal all hurts. I would have liked to see a bit more of the "father" getting his but I understand it was a short story. Kudos on another beautifully written romance Sheryl!!

Great Read
I enjoyed reading Taste The Smoke. Kenya thought she would never do the love thing again, after being hurt so bad by her ex-husband. Alonzo never thought he would be able to love again after the tragedy he experienced loosing someone so close to him. Both Alonzo and Kenya had no idea the night they met would change both of their lives. I definitely recommend this book.

Never Knew Love Like This
Alonzo and Kenya’s story was so sweet and move at a mature pace considering Kenya being hurt by others in past relationships. Alonzo was hooked from the beginning and his kindness, patience and love made this story beautiful. Congratulations Sheryl on another great story.

Real love
Kenya and Alonzo were just meant to be each other’s forever love. I just love me a man who wants to and can protect me at all cost. The tenderness Alonzo showed Kenya is what a woman deserves and dreams of! Now for Avis to knock out her ex-husband was the icing on the cake 😂 and he deserved that and more for his treatment to his family especially his mother.

Great read, I enjoyed the characters and story. Kendra and Alonzo met after she was stood up and he was disappointed in his date. They hit it off immediately. This is their journey to love and happiness.

I love me some Alonzo. He is such a good guy. I love how he checked on Kenya without knowing her. He turned a bad situation into a good one. They both got what they didn't know they needed....good love.

Kenya and Alonzo who are two people hurt in different ways from prior relationships learn how to love again in this sweet story. Enjoyed the slow build up to the heat with this couple.
