My cat and I have been abducted by aliens…

Seth

One second I’m walking to work, and the next I’m on a spaceship. I have no idea what’s going on, but this scaled alien claims I’m his mate. That’s not going to happen. I have until we reach his planet to accept or reject him. If I don’t want him, I can go back to Earth. But six months is a long time when the alien Kal is determined to woo me.

Kalvoxrencol

The Crystal sent me to the far reaches of the universe for my soulmate, and now that I have him, I will not surrender him. I will do whatever I can to win his love and keep him by my side, where he belongs. I will not let anything from my past or his keep us apart.

This is a standalone sci-fi romance with a socially anxious human, his protective winged alien mate, a black cat companion, a slow burn with a spicy payoff, and a guaranteed HEA. This is an MM romance with explicit content intended for adult readers only. Some of the trigger warnings panic attacks, anxiety, swearing, and adult content (Full list inside).

Not for me.
Although I love fated mates, aliens and most things sci-fi, I still couldn’t get into this. The writing and characters just didn’t work for me.

I don’t like Seth. He wants to be wanted for himself but starts mentally comparing past experiences to what’s going on now even though he’s literally in an alien spaceship with an alien mate. He ignores and avoids his mate and prefers to sit around making assumptions about him, sleeping and talking to the computer instead of trying to understand what’s going on. 🙄

DNF @ 78%. Wow… I really wanted to like this book, but it was such a chore to read. The subtitle should not have “spicy” in it. There’s zero spice up to 78%. This isn’t a slow burn; it’s a glacial, frustratingly, non-sexy burn. There’s also zero plot, and the big drama surrounding Kal’s past is anticlimactic. It’s just a book about nothing, lol, and not in the good way that Seinfeld is. There just wasn’t enough going on to keep me interested. I put this down many times, but kept coming back because I wanted to get their HEA. But after so long, I just didn’t care anymore.

Writing is okay, but Kal’s name is misspelled once in the beginning, as well as his mentor’s name, several times. And the long-ass names got to be very tedious to read. I started assigning nicknames very early on. The writing is technically okay, but it’s kind of bland and just straight forward. I felt emotion from Kal because I don’t do well with unrequited feelings. And I loathed that Seth strung him along for so damn long. Even when they decide to go further physically, Seth still isn’t sure he’ll stay. Overall, I just really didn’t like Seth, and never warmed to him. I also didn’t feel any chemistry between him and Kal past the very beginning when Seth starts to allow Kal to wrap his tail around his ankle or wrist.

This book could have been reduced 50% and been effective, imo. It’s just way too long for nothing to really be happening. I see this is the start of a series, but I won’t be continuing.

I was becoming increasingly frustrated and bored with this, and decided to put it down at 70%, then picked it up and read another 10% before confirming my decision.

Seth got on my nerves a lot. Some of his qualms are understandable but he's being really bone-headed here, and refusing to listen to Kal.

Kal doesn't want to talk about his past, Seth doesn't want to talk about sex. It's like they're communicating about not communicating, which, sure ok, fine! But get talking boys, I am over it.

Slow burn mm alien abduction, fated mates, fun time!
I enjoyed this, and am excited to read more. It has good character growth, working through mental health, trauma, past mistakes, and good relationship development. Fated mates with a slow burn are not always easy to find, but it is here and it works.

The anxiety/panic attack rep was well done. I always appreciate when that comes up.

This book is about an annoying guy who gets abducted by an alien prince, who claims to be his fated mate. After about 400 pages of the two acting petty towards each other and a bunch of other aliens appearing, they finally accept each other.

I really wanted to like this book, and I kept reading it, waiting to start enjoying it. Unfortunately it was sooo hard for me to get through this book. I didn’t connect with the characters or writing style, and I found myself just waiting for the mundane story to end.

Normally I find alien and sci-fi stories to be really fun! But this one was a chore to read. The only thing that kept me going was that I enjoy space settings.

Unfortunately not for me, but not necessarily a terrible book. I am sure some people will enjoy the straight-forward and long-winded writing style.

Love, Love, Love!

To say I loved this book is an understatement. I was hooked from the very first chapter and happily flew through the book. It is just so amazing and is one of my favorite scifi romances now. I can't wait for more in this universe!

Seth is such a relatable character with his anxiety, and I loved the mental health rep. The discussions about his anxiety were lovely and only added to. rather than take away from, the romance. Seeing Kal learn about and respect his mate's needs was swoonworthy. As a person with anxiety, that alone was hot.

And speaking of hot, this book does have some spicy spice. But it is later, just FYI. This is a slowburn (well, Kal is all in from the beginning lol), and it takes time for their relationship to develop and for Seth to trust Kal. But when the spicy times come, ooh they are very hot.

Another thing I loved was that Seth has a pet cat, and Lucy is just adorable! I have pet anxiety, but thankfully, nothing happens to Lucy and she is a very happy little addition to Kal and Seth's family. Cats make everything better.

This book has aliens, fated mates, found family, and actual healthy communication between our leads. Oh also, Kal has wings and is a smidge overprotective!

I highly recommend it to anyone who loves MM romance or scifi romance. If you liked Ruby Dixon's Risdaverse series or the Starmarked series by Sam Burns and WM Fawkes, this should be right up your alley.

I loved this book primos of this book. This might be a me thing, but I had trouble finding the chemistry with these two. I think it’s because I never warmed up to Seth. He kinda was a hypocrite. And then while I felt for him, he seemed to punish Kal for his own past traumas.
Beyond that, I loved the plot and the side characters.

WHERE IS THE SPICE?

I’m highly disappointed in this book. For the title “a SPICY MM sci-fi romance” you’d expect SPICE but it was lackluster and basically nonexistent.

For those who came for the spicy smut you get one lackluster scene at around page 540 and maybe one more by the end of the book but it’s really not worth it.

For the Review:

There are a total of 684 pages with page 11 being the first and 680 being the last, there are around 50 blank pages in the digital novel so in total there were around 623 pages of the book to read. The only ‘spice’ you got up till the 540th or so page is a some kissing and talks of ‘my cock got hard’ with it ending abruptly at that. There were MANY false alarms after page 400 (I wanna say towards the end of it) and it was frustrating as hell. On top of that I don’t care for bottoms topping (although they never explicitly expressed that they were only a top or only a bottom in most books the MC is the smallest/bottom and I just don’t care for switching tbh).

Overall the book is okay. It’s better than a good deal of other alien romance books I’ve read as it had a semi-solid plot with actual activities inside of it that didn’t involve a bunch of testosterone-filled fights or random ass drama that isn’t needed or necessary. I liked the relationship building as well as the mild character development that we got from Seth. I wish that there was more on both Seth and Kal’s side but you get what you get and you try not to through a fit.

I will again express how deeply disappointed I am in the book not having smut. I came for the “Spicy MM” title and got literally nothing. Basically cockblocked and click baited. I wouldn’t have wasted the time on this if I had none (no offense I’m just in a ‘spicy’ book with my books right now).

Spice/Smut: 2/10

Story: 8/10

Plot: 7/10

Creativeness/Story Engagement: 8/10 (I liked that the author didn’t have the main character stay in his apartment the entire and gave him classes and clubs to go to but it would have been better if we’d gotten to read a little bit more of those scenes instead of skipping to right after)

Picked this up because the cover and title sounded like dumb silly fun. It ended up not being that. Mostly just boring. These 2 just sort of existing in the same space for months, with no real plot.

That and a continued bringing up and brushing aside of the FUCKED UP situation of them abducting Seth and forcibly bonding him against his will. Like he continually is like mentally “I’m not getting over this. I will not be stockholm syndromed” but everyone he talks to just reaffirms that Kal is a good guy and just really loves him and wants to take care of him, and had no choice but to take him away from his life, planet, etc and marry him without his consent. And yes, if after this year long road trip that he has no say in, he decides he still doesn’t consent to this life as a kept man to alien, they will totally drop him off at home. After being missing a year, with no alibi, money, help, or anything, and wipe his memories, and Kal will continue to be obsessed with him, and maybe even end his life. But really it’s totally all up to Seth. He’s not a prisoner!

But all of that is just kinda treated as passive conversation while he adjusts to… doing nothing all day every day. He sleeps, eats, sometimes watches cooking shows on a tablet they provided him, and they occasionally go do a VR game experience in the spaceship mall. These repeated conversations about his messed up situation are treated like it’s just something to think about. And they just go about kissing and cuddling and junk while he’s thinking it over. And of course he decides he’s in love so everything is fine. Shocker.

As for the subtitle/catch line of this being a “spicy MM sci-fi romance”? There is no spice until like 85% in. And it’s pretty bland.

But this book DID have a pet cat. Points for that. Her scenes were good.

Still not a good book, but I didn't absolutely hate it, so 2 stars.

This a fated mates with slow burn, which is not as common. While Kal was all in once he found his mate, Seth took a while to warm up to the idea because he was abducted and can't go home. This has good character growth and working through trauma and past mistakes, in order to have a healthy relationship with each other. The book is about them getting to know each other and accept the bond over the timeframe it takes to get to Kal's home planet. This is not a lot that happens beside their relationship growth in this book.

entertaining and exciting new author for me

Rating: 4.25🌈

The “I was abducted by aliens “ trope isn’t one I normally read but the reviews for this were good and the author is new to me.

Science fiction can be a tricky subject, especially where the world building and species is concerned. I read other books where the aliens just resemble funny colored humans living in their own humanistic world instead of actually describing what a truly alien world or species might be like.

It does depend upon a specific author’s take on scify but it comes down to the theme. I’ll admit I really enjoyed Mars Quinn’s quirky perspective on this element.

It’s a fated mates science fiction romance, the first book in a new series. So Quinn’s story has to lay out not just the characters, and their respective histories, but establish the series foundation with various worlds, different species, and the entire Crystal religion that sparks young Kalvoxrencol “Kal” on his journey through space to find his fated mate.

That would be Seth, nigh to starved, recently dumped, with his emotional rescue cat, Lucy. The background the author has created for Seth’s adolescence has continued emotional ramifications for his adult life. He has had anxiety or panic attacks since he was young, and a controlling ex left him with further issues and emotional damage. All of this is slowly revealed through the process of his being abducted, then having to deal with this event and communicating with his new companion and those on the ship.

Kal, the alien who was determined to take his fated mate away from Earth and back home, also undergoes his own transformation. Turns out he’s young, prone to mistakes, the younger of all his siblings, and the more the reader and Seth learns about Kal, the more we like and connect with him. Alien, scaled, winged even but with behaviors that make him relatable. Are some of his early misadventures a tad too “human” in this regard? Sure but by this point as a reader, you’ve already made a decision about whether you are invested in this book and characters’ journey or not.

I was and enjoyed how the author was drawing comparisons with the stages of rebelling adolescence, no matter what the species.

This was absolutely true with respect to the character of Ensign Wyn (who I’m sure belongs on Below Decks) who became a good friend of Seth’s. His ongoing experiences, especially with drinking constantly made me laugh out loud. I need his book. Please.

So many special characters that Quinn crafted and made memorable, including NAID, the AI program that gained intelligence and became a being. I really hope that we see more of her. Quinn made sure there’s different species and different worlds that are seen and visited, as well as languages and religions. I appreciate that.

That romance was a very interesting one, built of respect, communication, commitment, and consent. That was upmost importance here so any intimacy didn’t really come until around 75 percent of the book was finished. They had literally covered a lot of space by then and Seth had the choice of returning to Earth.

Of the many siblings, only one other is mated so we get a scene that certainly leads us into the next book and sibling to get their story. It sounds fascinating and I can’t wait. Totally different.

I’m recommending this , it’s quirky, the characters are well done, easy to understand, and invest in their lives. I really enjoyed their journey to HEA. I’m still laughing about Wyn.

This was so heartwarming. I enjoyed seeing these two slowly come together and form a connection. Kal was the consent king who was so kind, understanding, and supportive of his new mate. Poor, sweet Seth with his anxiety and trauma, getting abducted by aliens.... what an adjustment. All things considered, Seth really dealt with the situation well, and getting to see Kal coax him out of his shell was so lovely. I think this author did such a wonderful job cultivating a healthy relationship with open communication and consent talks. It was one of the best aspects of the book and I was so feral for it!

This book did start to drag for me just a bit, and these two drove me just a little bonkers... but I genuinely enjoyed their book and am curious to see what comes next. I really hope that Monty and Wyn end up together (ifykyk). This is definitely worth a read!

I can't stand Seth. I picked this up thinkin' it was going to be a fun, easy read and it ended up being an annoying slog through Seth's problems. Like, I'm not expecting anyone to handle being abducted willy-nilly super chill, but he only has thoughts about himself and can't seem to either care or grasp the situation from his supposed "soulmate's" side. Honestly, Kal got the shot end of the stick here when he was "given" Seth as his one and only. Toss Seth to the trash and find someone who can be a bit more understanding or who wants to be, I ono, scooped up and have some adventure.

It's supposed to be a scifi romance, right? Not an angst filled mess where Seth can't get over himself. I'm just not interested anymore.

I enjoyed this and am looking forward to the next book.

The only thing that really grated was the king overriding things to connect a video call to his (newly mated) son’s private room, catching his son and son’s mate having sex and this is repeatedly a joke to him.
This alien species supposedly highly prioritizes consent or “permissions” (even between friends, as demonstrated by Wyn) but here we have other characters repeatedly making a joke of the huge invasion of Kal’s privacy, not to mention Seth who doesn’t even know this man suddenly on screen, looking at him naked… Not cool. I would have liked to see that better addressed during Seth and the King’s proper first meeting.

No juzgues un libro por su portada. Este, sin duda, es un gran ejemplo de por qué.

✨ Don't judge a book by its cover. This is undoubtedly a great example of why.

⭐⭐⭐🌟 3,75 estrellas

When I saw the cover, I imagined a story full of action, sex and debauchery. How wrong I was! 😆 Instead, I found myself with a sweet, leisurely love story, woven through everyday scenes that almost make it a charming contemporary novel.

Sí sí, la premisa está sacada de una fantasía extravagante: un joven humano es abducido 👽💫 por una raza alienígena debido a un vínculo predestinado con un príncipe extraterrestre, destinado a ser su pareja de vida.

Yes, yes, the premise is straight out of an extravagant fantasy: a young human is abducted 👽💫 by an alien race due to a predestined bond with an extraterrestrial prince, destined to be his life partner.

But that's where the preconceptions end, because what follows is a deep and thoughtful story. More than an intergalactic adventure, the book explores the theme of kidnapping with maturity. 🚀 Our protagonist, far from succumbing to Stockholm syndrome, builds his relationship consciously and slowly, through numerous everyday interactions, meaningful dialogues and a development that feels genuine

The cosmic MM alien romance series by Mars Quinn is absolutely Amazing!!!! Cosmic husband is so amazing it is about the mating of Kalvoxrencol Aka Kal to Seth only and Seth’s mating. So Kal consults the crystal of his home planet for his soul mate and it leads him to an unsanctioned planet Earth where he abducts Seth. Seth is a broken man that has anxiety, self- Esteem issues from years of neglect and abuse. S love story is absolutely beautiful cause Kal’s people the Drackol people are a. Very unique alien. They believe that with a partner/ or anyone they should always have permissions which makes me so happy they believe in full consent and that it can be taken back whenever the person wants. Which helped Seth a lot though the book Kal learned to love Seth as Seth learned to love Kal and it was so beautiful. On there way back to the Drackol home planet Seth help the ship computer become an independent person. NAID was very funny and she tried so hard to push Seth to Kal and help their relationship. I love how Lucy took to Kal after a while. I just love everything about this alien romance it was so breathtaking the amount of love between these to that it made me cry, laugh, and feel like this story was real as i was reading it. At the end when Seth and Kal finally got back to Kal’s home planet Seth had to meet with Kal’s father alone and this was one of my favorite quotes by Seth and Emperor Kontolmakilnen. (His Tail wrapped around my wrist. “You’re welcome. You’re my son now as well.” “ I’ve never had a father.” For some odd reason, a burning sensation started in the back of my eyes. He held my face in his hands. “ You’re welcome do now Seth.”) Seth parents died when he was young and Kal’s parent and family took Seth in like he had always been family and loved him like they loved Kal. There was one more quote at the end that i feel sums the book up in entirely when Seth and Kal affirms there bond with the crystal. ( Seth the crystal said again, Welcome. Chosen. Beloved. Warrior. We have been waiting for you. My pulse scattered. Seth, it whispered, YOU ARE KNOWN. YOU ARE WANTED. YOU ARE HOME.) This is what Seth wanted all along a partner to love him and he got Kal, a home of his own, and a family full of love. I am ready for book 2 in this serious. Mars Quinn is an amazing author and m so glad I found her work!!!

Sci-fi and alien romance are at the top of my list of favorite genres so I usually jump at any new book that comes along, albeit warily with new authors anymore. Luckily, this author delivered a lovely, refreshing book. Usually with fated mates books it comes with a lot of toxic, alphahole behavior that gets really discouraging to read book after book. With this story there is a very big emphasis on consent and having choices. Granted Seth didn't choose to get abducted by aliens, and his choices for his future are limited, but Kal tries to let him know he has them. I really liked how even though Kal knew Seth was his fated mate and could feel the bond between them he knew it didn't give him any rights to Seth's body or life. He tried to hold back and not even hug Seth without permission. It was also great that even though this was a fated mates book, it wasn't insta-love or insta-lust for the human. Seth has a lot of mental health issues and trauma in his background and that didn't just suddenly disappear because a hot alien kidnapped him. Kal also has a lot of issues that didn't just disappear magically because he found his soulmate. There is a large chunk of the book with both MC's trying to learn about each other and having to grow as characters and learn to trust, both themselves and each other. The author gives the story plenty of time for that to happen and the relationship to build. While I love my books with the highest steam I can find them, I can also appreciate a lower steam book like this one when the story is written with so much care to really show that the characters want to belong together and worked to get their HEA.

Space Travel With A Side Of Romance

This book was a simple and fun read. Kal and Seth were thrown together in quite a dramatic way, and for the first third of the book I wasn’t sure I was going to like Kal because of it. The slow burn these two shared was necessary though and done in a thoughtful and well timed way. I was so glad that this wasn’t a fated mates, insta love kind of story. These two needed time to really appreciate each other and their circumstances, especially Seth.

What really held this book together though were the vibrant characters and world! I found all the scenes and storylines of Seth developing friendships of his own and becoming more confident on the ship so great to read and it really kept the story moving without making everything about Kal and Seth. The character of NAID on the ship was particularly fun and I’m so curious where that is going to go.

The spice was low in this book but like I said, their romance needed a slow burn and them building an actual relationship was better and more fun to read.

I did struggle with the writing style sometimes. The descriptions and inner monologues were written really well, but often the dialogue was stilted and too abrupt. I kept getting distracted by the way people were speaking to one another rather than staying immersed in the story.

There are sci-fi books (about distant planets and different cultures and complex technology) and than there are romance books where the love interest has blue skin and a tail. This, to state the obvious, is the second one.

And I didn't hate it. It's very much about feelings and emotions and the adjacent mushy stuff and about his anxiety and the fact he was kidnapped and can't go back AND is supposed to fall in love with the reason he went away... It was long so the fact I finished and I liked the book at the end of it feels like an accomplishment. And I am not saying there are not enough alien stuff - we see three different planets and see plenty of aliens and of course there is alien technology but the focus is firmly on the relationship portion. I only minded in some parts because of the warrior soul thing. I kept expecting Seth to find some kick-assing in his blood but the plot just kept on... trudging. I mean, the worst thing that happened was which was as it is in any other romance book just a reason why they became closer.

I would even go as far as to say this book was about Seth. Yes, we had Kal's POV's but it was Steh's mental and personal journey that the book centered around.

Will probably try the next one even if... a ghost? In sci-fi? Like as a romance with a ghost? Ugh.

It's like Chloe Archer and AJ Sherwood had a baby, with some gene splicing from KM Avery. This is not a bad thing....

A solid 4 . The story revolves around Seth, a human with more than a few issues related to past trauma, and the alien Kalvoxrencol, who kidnaps Seth on the pretense that Seth is his fated mate. I'll not give more away than that, other than Seth, while being simultaneously a spitfire and also very haunted by his past, is super funny and sarcastic. A quote from Seth as he and Kalvoxrencol are trying to decipher each other's names...
" If that long word could be a name, I was having a Tarzan- Jane moment. Joy."
And Seth's panic attacks and need for an emotional support animal are handled in a really sensitive and enlightened way without hitting you over the head with a club. I've seen too many books bogged down this way. This author gets their point across in a thoughtful manner, while still moving the story along and really showing how important this facet of Seth's character is to the plot.

Kal is a sweet, if highly overprotective alien who just doesn't get Seth's need for independence. He's a big softy I just want to hug and tell him it's all going to be okay.

There's an HEA and a set up for the next book with I now REALLY want to read.

And to top it off this looks like a first time author. Chef's frickin kiss!

This book had been in my tbr for a long time, so I'm trying to read what I have in it to see if I can narrow it down (I'm delusional).

He is a new author to me. I really liked the writing and style. Also the imagination he has because he creates different worlds, species and even different cultures. Also how he deals with the theme of mental health, in this case anxiety, quite well.

Seth is a human, who lives alone with his kitty Lucy, works and goes home. He struggles every day with his anxiety. One day he is kidnapped by aliens. Here begins his journey through the universe and to Kal's planet.

Kal is an alien prince who, after asking the Crystal that governs the decisions of his culture, both political and amorous, goes to Earth to find his soul mate, Seth. Kal also struggles with a series of circumstances that make almost everyone doubt him.

I really enjoyed the wordbuilding, which is very well thought out and developed.

The next book's partner is introduced, who is Kal's brother, I'm going to call him Zol. I will continue reading.

Difficult to rate. The writing style could have made the book more epic, but there's a total lack of creativity in this universe.

Either the author has spent no time thinking about how societies can develop differently, or they're so limited in their worldview that they legitimately think their culture is "natural" and all beings would be similar. Things like "warrior" is prized, and "art" is not. Things like "overbearing parents and teenagers who lash out by drinking and being a public menace". And strangely enough, there exists a magical rock which supposedly has a 100% success rate, and yet there exists people who still don't believe in it.

This is basically "patriarchal western society, but with royalty and forced mates". It also has an undercurrent of pro-religious sentiment, which is really weird.

Quinn is a decent writer, but lacks the world view necessary to write a compelling SciFi.

Omg I loved this book! It was so perfect. The depiction of anxiety so accurate. The whole slow burn. The world building. NAID! Urgg and Wyd, they are the best. You have to write a book about Wyd and Monty, they need to end up together and have Monty puke on him now.

The only negative thing I would say tho, why are people obsessed with rim jobs. Sorry but my brain just finds it really really repulsive, and kissing afterwards. Nope, big no. I know it's fiction but still in my mind is like a horror movie. Thank god it was by the end, otherwise I would not have finished it. I know I'm not supposed to yack on someone's yum. But sorry not sorry.

Can't wait for the next book, that little preview about Caleb being a ghost who already was on the planet a year before... How did he get there, how did he died, is he gonna revive or are we talking ghost/alien because I'm totally down with that.

weirdly adorable???

-gay as hell, nonbinary characters included
-fat MC!!!!! so tired of reading abt characters w “rangy” or super muscular builds. let fat characters be hot bitch!!!
-worldbuilding was actually very in depth
-the side characters (esp NAID) were all lovely too and didn’t take away from the romance at all
-slow burn af, which I personally love but if you’re wanting a book where the characters do more than kiss before the 80% mark, ur gonna be disappointed
-VERS REP. VERS REP VERS REP VERS REP
-usually in the romances I read the bigger/taller/stronger love interest is the one being like, more dominant or being big spoon or whatever and this was much more equal and we love to see it
-bro i was so right abt who the next book is about and i am THRILLED
-the ruby dixon mention made me laugh

TLDR: silly, fun, sweet.

I wanted to like this book because from reading the blurb, I thought it would be right up my alley but I think it’s a DNF for me for now. The writing is fine but I’m at about 60% and it feels like such a chore to read. The story moves painfully slow with not all that much happening tbh. They keep having issues communicating and Seth is a frustrating person to read about some of the time 😅 he keeps comparing everything to his past experiences but then not really talking about it. I also don’t really feel much chemistry between them even though they’re supposed to be soul mates. Seth is willing to make out with Kal all the time even though he’s not sure he’s going to stay..I honestly started to feel bad for Kal lol. I also would not say it’s spicy even though the description says it is, it’s an extremely slow burn.

Great Sci-fi Romance

What would you do if you were abducted by aliens and immediately married off to one? Seth finds himself in this exact situation and there are rocky roads ahead.

I loved the world building in this story. It's a great example of explaining different cultures and people without dragging it out and boring readers.

Seth is a highly anxious character, and I felt his severe level of anxiety was shown in a very realistic way. As someone who shuts down when extremely stressed, I related to him a lot.

KAL is the most amazing man. So patient, so loving. Its easy to see how Seth falls for him even after the traumatic way they met.

I lived this book, and can definitely recommend it to other sci-fi romance fans.

The Cosmic Romances series by Mars Quinn was recommended to me by a friend. I finished “Cosmic Husband” early this morning and it was a treat to read. This is an alien abduction style MM romance but it strays from the mold I’ve seem many times with this core trope. Those changes with how the soulmates bond is felt, plus both characters having flaws and issues helped the book feel real. There was no “magic” cure for Mental Health issues or feelings of guilt, just acceptance and understanding. Kalvoxrencol and Seth grow into their feelings, especially on Seth’s part. It is a book with deep feelings an deep events but it still holds an air of lightness that balances those darker parts.

Overall a very good read and great start to a series.
