I like Mike Gonzales's work and this little book, within its constraints, is no exception. It has two functions, I think: It's and introduction for people who really have no idea who Marx was, and a reminder for more advanced readers that Marx was a revolutionary first, philosopher second. Rather thin on Marx's 'system' of ideas, but good enough for a primer.
I recommend this very short book (60 pages) to any beginner in marxist theory. This book is basically a summary of Marx's life (what he did, where he did it, how he did it, his theories, etc...). So once you've read this you'll be able to understand better marxist debates.
Besides there is a nice paragraph in the end full of book recommendations in case you want to widen your knowledge of Karl Marx.
Very good introduction. Sometimes pro-Marx bias (at the expense of other areas of radical leftist thought) was all too telling, but besides that, very good, interesting and enlightening.
