Planet Earth burns in nuclear flame. But The System was kind and wise enough to transfer all its little humans into a new world. Everyone has been granted a new name, a starting bonus, and a rousing kick up the backside. Some got a sword, some a crown, and me... A potato?! How am I supposed to take over the world with this thing? System, are you sure you're so kind and wise after all?
This book is thin on details but heavy on imagination. It is like playing an MMO on your phone. You recognize the parts but there isn't any substance. I think it is such to be a city-builder but all I see is a potato patch and a lean-to. It's not bad for what it is but I am not going any further.

It’s a fairly good book. Concepts are simple, storyline is simple, characters are non-complex. That being said it is enjoyable. Primary issues, it’s short, and the ending is absolutely horrible. Overall, it’s worth a read.
The discovered world feels incredibly small in the first two books, everything is super basic, the protagonists are clichés and the plot felt contrived.
Criticism and comments
The protagonist claims to be a history fan but keeps making false and even preposterous claims. The city Sparta was famous for having no walls, 4 guys with spears are definitely no phalanx, the Helots were the indigenous population of Southern Peloponnes and no barbarians, the Spartans didn't defeat the Persion armada etc..
Certainly some translation issues but not bad. What bugged me was if you are going to base part of your plot/story on something like say a potato, then spend an hour and look up information on them. If the mc hadn’t said he knew about potatoes in pre Earth then I would have let it pass as magic new world stuff but by claiming to have planted them before it drove me nuts having actually grown potatoes before.
Sadly from the cover I feel it might be smut. I also feel it might be another knockoff .
I do feel like this is a knockoff (knowing the author's other works), but I can't say from which (so many to choose from, plus some I probably never read).
I don't know if I want to read the sequel or not. This is basically a civilization builder fantasy. With a higher power (the system) dropping much needed tools and supplies at random intervals.
I will see what the future holds, this was a meh for me.
I received a review copy of this book. Normally I'm a big fan of base building LitRPG, but in this case, I had to work hard to decide on 3 or 4 stars rating, and decided that if I had to work at it that much, it didn't quite hit the four star mark. The story is decent enough to be sure, and there is enough building to make things fun, bug I can't help thinking some of the other parts could have been handled differently. Still, it's a good story, and certainly worth adding to your read shelf.
I appreciated the Russian footnotes most of all. They were a fascinating Glimpse into a life I'll never see. The story was good too though I wished he'd made good on that spanking threat
I wasn’t sure what to make of this book, there's a randomness to the story that makes some of incidents and actions of the characters (and ‘System’) difficult to understand at times. If possible I would have given 2.5 stars.
Simple and plain. Not much imagination to the story.
Very plain and basic story that really has no thrills as the characters are forced into a predetermined set of rules and actions as their world is rebuilding. The characters aren't really fleshed out to the point where you care what happens, and all thoughts are just reaction to what they do. It was a simple read but not good enough to where I'd want to read a second book.
