Court of the Hollow King #3

Angel's Enemy Omega

Rate this book
Monster.
I’m addicted to souls. I’ve consumed thousands of them in service to the King of Hell, and it made me hated and feared. But when I’m exiled and sent to roam the wastes of Earth, suddenly the only souls to eat are living humans.
Except he is protecting them.
An angel.
His soul burns brighter than any I’ve seen. Before I can get close enough to taste, he captures me.
I hate him. I want him. His soul is so exquisite, soon I won’t be able to live without him.

Failure.
All I want is the omega I’ve been denied all my life. They say I’m too headstrong. Too arrogant. Now I’m stuck on Earth on a fool’s mission, escorting a troop of humans through the wastes.T
hen the monster attacks. Scarred and fearsome, he wants my soul—and when he feeds from me, we bond.
An omega born in Hell can’t be my mate. But I agree to feed his twisted hunger if he turns his deadly teeth and claws on my enemies. When my mission is done, I'll finally be given a real mate.
But the deeper we go into the desert, the more I see a different side of him.
Broken. Lost.
Lonely.
Maybe we’re not so different.

My readers are always guaranteed high heat, forever love, and intense, immersive worlds.

I would like to thank GRR for the opportunity to read and review this ARC.

🪽Ooooh I don't get down to Angels and Demons often, but this was my second book from Sera Bishop and I'm very much a fan of everything going on here!🪽

The aspects of lore and worldbuilding I really needed to know about, unfolded naturally in this one, so I wasn't toooo overwhelmed.😅

🪽I really enjoy it when a story is both sexxxy and has a smidge of "thinky" substance that makes it a bit more than just a hot read! So for me, I could not help but empathize with Nur and his "Food insecurity" issues! Arsene's withholding throughout the first half of the book was making me all kinds of anxious ngl. 🪽

❤️‍🔥And the way the pairs of primus and vergis (omegaverse) have been manifesting on either side of an enemy faction, it just made me think of all the ways communities and societies around the world continuously fight against "other", but the nature of the world will keep bringing love into the game so that eventually peace and compassion will override anger and division! And what a wonderful world that would be!❤️‍🔥

🪽Once the second half got going and A stopped fighting his attraction, this book stepped into hot, i'll-do-anything-for-you romance territory, and Bishop delivered the heat😏 and the feels just like i've come to expect! I really enjoy that this world and these characters have a lot of bite, literally, and that it's not just about the slick heat and mine mine mine...though that's all the fun!🪽

❤️‍🔥This reads like a fantasy with push and pull/ "i'm properly NOT into you but i want to devour you against my better judgement" sexy sex, and i really enjoy that!❤️‍🔥

🪽So yeah, I had a great time with this book for sure, which was intriguing and super romantic down to the very end! No spoilers, but sometimes that "die for you" energy hits harder when the sacrifice hinges on "hope for the best", so semi-swan song declarations ALWAYS have me bawling like a baby, even though this IS a romance and HEAs are m o s t l y guaranteed!
"But love isn't just something you take. It's something you give[...]I promise you won't lose me. I'll always come back to you."

"You can't promise that," Nur chokes[...]

"I can. I do."

Straight up, I'll read anything Sera Bishop writes because I think that there's a lot of talent here, and SB has my emotions arrested and locked into a world of human-demon-angel drama and ALL the torrid love that inevitably springs from it lol!🪽

💕On a different tip, and obviously YMMV, but I like that the narrative actually seeks to erase the lines between the communities with long held grudges forged from past violence. Where everyone's now just trying to survive in a world where only the strongest bonds build and secure lifelines, no matter who or what or where you came from! Where preconceived and established notions are challenged, lies unraveled under examination, cycling through life and living and really embracing it by showing respect and compassion for all. It's a great message and if that hits, it hits, but if it doesn't, then that's alright too...because all life is a lens and you'll see only as much as you want to, when you know what it is you're looking for!💕

i didn’t vibe with the tone/writing of this and half of it’s bc it’s written in 3rd person present tense, but it also felt minimally detailed and just overall bland…..felt like i was reading it thru a delirious fever haze….i didn’t find the main characters’ attraction/interest in each other believable at all like yas give us nothing😐 well, aside from when nur was feeding from arsene, but considering that’s something nur needs to survive, that just can’t be the only time i feel any chemistry….arsene was also a inconsiderate jerk for breaking his own deal and continuously neglecting nur’s need to feed….like bro i don’t like u😐 also, consider the fact that maybe no one else does either and THAT’S why u don’t have a mate💀 i’m really confused about the fact that basically none of the outside world, hell and new yden and the characters from the previous book, even mattered at all bc the events were sooo zoomed in focus to nur, arsene, and the traveling caravan…..made the climax sooo anticlimactic😭 i kept expecting there to be some sort of confrontation between the seraphim council and arsene, but everything ended up being very one note🥱

**I received an ARC from the author in exchange for an honest review**

4.5 stars!

I’m so thrilled the second book in this series has dropped!! I’ve been refreshing the author’s social media pages constantly over the past year hoping for a sequel, and it’s finally here! I’m such a fan of this series, and can confirm this book SLAPS.

The Angel’s Enemy Omega is romantic, adventurous story full of “bonded enemies” goodness. There’s hate-screwing, self-loathing, “I hate you, I want you, I hate that I want you” scenes, double hurt/comfort, good further world-building, and some cool tie-ins to the first book!

While the demon alpha/angel omega dynamic from the first book is my favorite, this angel alpha/demonic vampire-like omega is pretty great. Nur is probably one of my favorite characters in the series so far, and he deserves the world. 😭 I didn’t expect we’d get a book about him, but I’m so glad we heard his story. I hope Sera comes out with additional short stories for Nur and Arsene! (And maybe more Rone and Vasia too?)

Now I’m curious who in the Hollow King’s Court will be featured next!

It's Nur's story!!! Been waiting and waiting for the next book in this series and I ATE this up!

I absolutely love the world building in this series - we have angels, demons, alpha/omegas, a post-apocalyptic world feeling but also not since we're not focused on humans so much here, if that makes sense.

Nur is introduced in the first book of this series and honestly I do recommend reading them in order because it also helps explain the world building. (I probably should have re-read the first book LOL)

If you love:
Enemies to lovers
Alpha/omega hierarchy
Heat sex
Bonded mates
Forced proximity/working together

I say to give this series a try! There is danger, risk, and also spice and heat and a romance that builds over the course of the whole story that I just love.

I would LOVE a story that has Nur and Arsene meeting up with Vasia and Rone. While their story could be done, I also could totally read a whole book with these two couples reuniting and having to work together for some reason.

I received an arc in exchange for an honest review.

*~. I received an ARC of this book in exchange of my honest review.~*

Arsene is an angel with a mission, no pun intended. Deemed unfit for mating by his superiors, Arsene is forced to accompany and protect a caravan of humans as they cross the land in hopes to find a better place to live.

Enter Nur, a hollow freshly kicked out from Hell, who attacks the caravan. After an ugly battle, both angel and hollow discover something awful: they have been bonded as mates!

As Arsene suffers to accomplish his mission and Nur finds his humanity within, both creatures deny their bond until desire takes over.

I loved Sera's writting! It was my first book by the author, but the feelings described for Arsene and Nur were so raw, so real... I felt tangled with them until the last page!

Also, it was very nice to see how Arsene developed and grew from a massive jerk into a caring and loving partner. Nur also had his journey until he could understand that being a hollow doesn't mean being a monster.

Also, the spice int the book! You'll need a fan to read them, I promise!

The only thing I wasn't crazy about in this book was the fantasy settings. The world building was very promising, but the execution could have been better. Most of the time, the reader is forced to imagine everything about the couple's surroundings, as we mostly get vague descriptions along the book. Oh, well. I did an excellent job imagining it all around Arsene and Nur. :)

If you enjoy MM Romances with paranormal characters, a selfish alpha turned cupcake, a stubborn and wise omega, and spice on your fantasy, this book is for you too!

Angel's Enemy Omega is the second book in the Court of the Hollow King series. Each book is a standalone romance, but the series has an overarching plot and is best read in order. This is Arsene and Nurs story and it is so heartbreaking but so good. I love the characters and the way they are written. I love the world building that Sera Bishop did. I can't wait to see what comes next by Sera Bishop. I would definitely recommend this book and series.

A Joyfully Jay review.

2.5 stars

This is the second book in the Court of the Hollow King series and follows the first book, Demon’s Captive Mate. I liked the first book and the characters and the world that was set up there. I read that book about a year ago and, while I remembered the characters and the general story, I did have to stretch my memory to remember the details about Nur. Once I started reading, he came back to me somewhat, but it may have worked out better for me if the books were available in closer succession.

I really struggled with the story here and much of the time I was trying to figure out not only what was happening, but why it was happening. The entire story takes place in the wastes where Arsene is protecting humans and Nur has been exiled. There wasn’t much narrative to refresh why the humans were in the wastelands and why they needed protection.

Characters ★★★★☆
Story & Plot ★★★★☆
----------------------
Overall ★★★★☆ (+ ★ bonus!)

I received an ARC for this book. This review is based on the ARC version. This is a spoiler-free review, but will discuss character traits of the protagonists and delve a bit on their romance.

“You want to be fucked?” he murmurs.
Nur’s fingers dig into his ribs and he whines.
“I need to hear it.”

There is a very specific target audience for series like this, and I am unashamed to admit I fall in that category. And if you've read Demon's Captive Mate (Book 1 in this series), you'd know that there is more plot here than what the title and cover might initially lead you to believe.

This is the second book in the Court of the Hollow King series, and although you absolutely do not need to read the first one to fully enjoy Angel's Enemy Omega, I would still suggest starting with Demon's Captive Mate. This is largely because of the unfamiliar settings of the story. The world-building in Book 2 is one of the things I really loved about it, but it might get overwhelming if the reader is thrown right in the middle of it. Book 1 is a great introductory piece for this universe as the plot happens in more contained locations. Book 1 you can understand even if you don't fully understand the series' universe yet. In Book 2, it plays a more crucial role in developing the story and our characters.

This is a great read for fans of alpha/omega romance (in this case, primus/vergis). However, Sera Bishop does deviate a bit from the usual dynamics in this book as compared with the previous one. Nur, vergis, although vulnerable and fragile in some aspects, is physically capable. Arsene, angel primus, does not feel as reliable and capable as typical alpha tops tend to be. Still, their relationship works. They make it work.

It took a while for me to appreciate Arsene as Nur's partner. He is so glaringly imperfect yet he never goes too far. He made wrong calls and hurt Nur repeatedly, yet he never crosses the line of being irredeemable. His actions may not be "good", but they were, in some form, justifiable, regardless of what I may want to believe. I think it is also these qualities of Arsene that made reading the story interesting. And I think it's also interesting that Arsene does not fit the mold of a typical "alpha," like, maybe I'm just used to stories where the alpha top is the stable guiding force in the relationship and Arsene and Nur's relationship isn't like that.

Nur was already a likable character from the get-go (whether you've read Book 1 or not). Nur's vulnerabilities lie in his inability to believe he is deserving of tenderness and love. But in spite of this, Nur never wallows in despair. He could have been a more pitiable character, but it was his hardiness that shone through.

In some way, Arsene is a more pitiable character compared to Nur. And so, for most of the book, it just felt like I was just waiting for Arsene to be worthy of Nur. It was wait waiting for Arsene to come to his senses and break free from his leash.

And following that train of thought, one of the things I really liked about this book is that Sera Bishop spent time developing these characters as inhabitants of this alternate post-apocalyptic angels vs. demon universe. I like how Sera Bishop took the time to really introduce her characters, show us who they are and why they're making the choices they're making. We got to see a bit more world-building for this series and how the environment shaped our characters. And it was a joy to see them interact and be part of this universe.

For me, it meant that Arsene was never inherently an unlikable character. And throughout the book, we do get to see how he isn't just some simple-minded brute. He has his own stubbornness. He is willing to play subservient, because he wanted mate and up until he met Nur, it was the only way he knew how to be "awarded" his own vergis.

There was instant attraction between our two protagonists that never quite overpowers their rational thought which, for me, is proof that their being together is a choice. We get an equal amount of moments where Arsene's and Nur's ideologies clash and soft, slow moments that convince us to root for them.

That's also where I appreciate the pacing of story. This is in no way a short body of work, but it also didn't feel too long that it felt dragging. It was just right. It began really strong, action-packed, immediately showing us the kind of hard-headed, baggage-laden, prickly characters we will deal with in this book. In contrast, it ended with Arsene and Nur hand in hand, ready to seize their HEA.

This universe is really interesting and I'm very excited to see where Sera Bishop might take this sort of post-apocalyptic concept of angels vs. demons with alpha/omega romance, but at the end of the day, it's all just a backdrop (albeit a very beautiful, curious one) for the love story between our characters.

“We might hurt each other.”
“We will,” Nur says, eyes glittering.
“But we’ll protect each other, too.”
Nur scowls. “I won’t stop telling you when you’re wrong.”
“I won’t always listen.” He shrugs. “And I’ll never look at a Hellbeast and see anything but an enemy. You’re the only exception.”
“Lucky me.”

I really liked the first book in this series, so without hesitation I delved again into the extraordinary world of  alphas and omegas in the form of angels and demons. Although each story presents a different pair of characters, there are references to the characters and events from the first part, so I strongly encourage you to read them in order for better understanding and enjoyment.
This time the action of the book takes place in the wastelands of Earth, where the demon Nur wanders. He feeds on souls, and while human souls can keep him alive, they are dwarfed by the bright burning soul of the angel protecting the caravan. The temptation to try it is so great that, regardless of the danger, Nur decides to hunt Arsene. However, not everything goes according to plan and they become connected by a mate bond.
Of these two characters, Nur is definitely my favorite. Like every omega, he longed for acceptance. The King of Hell gave him a purpose, but as soon as he was no longer useful, he was banished. He experienced the feeling of friendship and brotherhood among humans. However, only an alpha can give him unconditional love, and in the case of a bond with an angel, this seems unattainable.
Arsene is a heavily indoctrinated character. In the opinion of the Seraphim Council, he did not deserve the privilege of completing his transformation into a true alpha and at the same time the chance to receive a perfect angelic omega. Despite this, he still believes that if he completes another task, even if it is impossible, he will suddenly be noticed as valuable. He treats the bond with the demonic omega as a curse that may ruin his chances.
An extraordinary and touching journey awaits these two, both emotionally and related to the dangers lurking in the wastelands of Earth. If you are a fan of the Enemies to lovers genre with a lot of hot scenes, then Angel's Enemy Omega is definitely worth checking out.

Nur and the Angel . . .

Arsene is an alpha Angel who longs to find his omega. His task has been to protect humans in the caravan, but a creature had somehow gotten past him and killed one of the humans. Arsene has been trying to find the creature that had lured him away, but he has not been successful. Now he awakes in the middle of the night, knowing something is hunting him, then realizing this is the creature he has been tracking which is apparently staying just out of reach right behind him. Is it a demon? Holding his knife, he pretends to be asleep; then suddenly the feeling is gone and the creature is gone and there is no sign at all that he had ever been there. So he sets up a snare trap to catch him. Then he hides and waits. Strong and fast, the creature doesn’t give up as it fights to escape. Its face is horribly scarred and it comes at him with talons and teeth. The snare makes it stumble as it comes at him again. But he gets the creature’s scent and freezes – “Vergis”, protect, possess, no this can’t be! And in his shocked state, the creature bites Arsene’s neck!

Arsene’s physiology makes him immune to the venom of Earth-born creatures, but demons are a different breed and he is not sure if he has been poisoned. But he has never seen a demon that looked like this one. The demon is unconscious now, and the caravan of humans is safe. Nur was exiled here when the Hollow King of hell had no further use for the demon and ended their contract, exiling him to Earth; without a contract, omega Nur will no longer have a guaranteed supply of souls to feed on and will go mad. And when he saw the angel, he is drawn to him by the light of his soul in his blood, and has lured him to this mountain. He could easily break the angel’s ropes, but he craves him and so he stays. He is not unconscious, but watches from the aether. Will he die soon? Or is there something else ahead for him?

Nur? NUR?!

Sweet demon angel baby, let me give you a hug!

I felt so sad for Nur and how he ended up meeting Arsene. Bby boi could not catch a break!

However, even though I loved the hate vibes from both characters, the grammar/spelling errors REALLY threw me out of the story. This needed another round of editing, badly. Also, I will admit, 3rd person view is not my favorite pov to read through, which made the story drag a bit, but after a few chapters I finally got used to it.

Now, when it comes to the plot...I felt like the ending could've been extended. It leaves room for another book in the series (iykyk), but wow did it wrap up quickly and left a lot of questions unanswered. Specifically about Nur's past. We got glimpses throughout the story, and some details as to certain names that Nur mentions, but everything else was forgotten.

But Pepperidge Farm remembers...

What is Nur's full backstory? You can't just give us a mention that he fell out of a building and leave it there! Also, was there no repercussions for Arsene making the choice he did? Was the sentinel killed THAT quickly?

This book could've done with a hundred or so more pages added to it.

Aside from that, I loved this installment of the Court of the Hollow King. I hope the series continues, especially with the way Sera left it open for Nur to reunite with his dear friend from the previous book.

Arsene, an angel, has been given a mission which should redeem him. He has been told he is too headstrong, too arrogant. This mission should hopefully prove them wrong. First, he has to capture the monster who killed one of the members of the caravan he is protecting. He finds his monster but he is not quite what Arsene expected. Nur is an omega born below. He has served the King there and when his use was over, he was exiled. He wants nothing more than to feed on Arsene to sate his hunger but Arsene is the brightest soul he has seen. When they strike a bargain and Arsene allows him to feed, the two bond. As they travel together, Arsene sees a different side of Nur and he is not sure what to think.

This is truly a case of two lost souls searching but not realizing that what they need is each other. Nur is sure he would never be good enough for Arsene while Arsene wants what he thinks is an ideal mate. It turns out that may be Nur, but first he has to convince him as the two have said things to each other that are hurtful and hateful. It was a pleasure watching these two grow and change. Arsene learned to listen and think beyond while Nur gained confidence in himself. This is turning out to be an incredible series and we can all look forward to more.

ARSENE has been sent to the waste land to guard humans. This is his judgement/punishment for having humans die on his watch. Something has lured him away from his camp. As he investigates he realizes although he's tracking something that something is tracking him. He sets a trap. He catches something that's two legged. While they're fighting he catches a whiff of something. Vergis.!!!! It's a demon. How can it be his Vergis.
NUR was created by the Hollow King. He has worked for many many years. But the King is mad and angry because he is losing a war. Now he's let him go. He is a Hollow, a Hell's ghost. He has tasted Arsene's blood or soul and he wants more. On their trek back to the caravan Arsene was guarding they are attacked by a chimera. Nur kills it then falls onto Arsene and bites his neck. To the angel's discust they have bonded. It's impossible to bond unless it's between a primus and a vergis. When the angel realizes that they can't be parted he tells the Hollow that he will help with guarding the humans. They shake hands. Will they figure out how to break the bond? Will they be stuck together in an unwanted bonding?
A story that is intriguing and sorrowful.

Arsene and Nur story was heart-breaking as their road to happiness is paved with danger, misunderstandings, miscommunication, hidden proposes of higher forces that doesn't care about others, hurt and mistrust caused by manipulation and a misplaced duty.
They slowly learn to trust in each other and communicate, fall in love and fight for being together as danger is imminent and the need of protection leads to hurried decisions in their detriment.
It was complex as truths are revealed and beliefs are shaken, eyes get opened which brings them to a new path and a new propose.
It was a hard earned happiness with changes along the way, a few connections that makes them a better versions of themselves, and a possible bright future ahead.
I loved the story and I'm looking forward to see what happens next.

Angels & demons in a post-apocalyptic future.....

You could actually start with this book and go back to book 1.....it covers enough information to understand the background and world building.....but to get a clearer understanding of the angels and monsters, and the PTB's (powers that be), probably best to read in order. So, this one, they definitely start as enemies - but I'll admit that I was on Nur's side for most of this book....Arsene is a pompous beepity-beep...... Though, as you get deeper into the story, there's more to it, obviously - both are walking contradictions - who they should be and how they should be etc.......they may be "broken" but that is what's perfect about them. Great story, great characters and world building and definitely want more in this series....

I loved this story by Sera Bishop, and Angel’s Enemy Omega was as good if not better than Demon’s Captive Omega. I loved Arsene and Nur, and I loved the backstory about New Yden and the King of Hell. I also love how Arsene and Nur are more equals in terms of strength and ability compared with Rone and Vasia, and I love the inclusion of more humans and the introduction of the chimeras, but and this note goes out to the editor(s), I noticed a few grammatical errors and punctuation errors, and again, issues such as this can make or break a story. Please hire a new editor(s), or let the editor(s) know that they need to do a better job at editing, if for the sake of spotting those grammatical and punctuation errors.

I loved Nur in book 1 and I'm so glad he got his own story! I was cheering him on towards his HEA from the very beginning; I loved his character development and it melted my heart that he just really wanted to belong (somewhere or to someone). Arsene was a good match for him but he intermittently annoyed me. I really wanted to shake him more than once, especially when he was pushing Nur away for things out of his control. I do think they became a really strong couple though and I was pleased with the ending, especially after reading the bonus chapter from Sera's newsletter. The more I learn about the angels' society, the more I dislike them! I'm really enjoying the mixture of couples in the series though and I'm looking forward to more.

This is a hopeful story, not necessarily a happy one. Both MCs go through a lot and, by the end, you can't help feeling heavy after joining them on their journey. If you're looking for an emotional read with character growth by way of inner turmoil, then this is for you.

I wouldn't say this can't be read on its own but since it's been a while since I read the first book (with the foundational world building), I kinda felt just thrown into this story. However, it didn't take long for me to get the gist of it since you get sucked into the story from the first interaction between Nur and Arsene.

This is book two in the series and it was well worth the wait, this is Arsene and Nur‘s story and is an enemies to lovers to accidentally bonding as mates story that is very emotional as the two characters both have hurt and trauma in their pasts, their path is not an easy one with external forces working against them but with a lot of hard work and learning to trust each other they make it. Can be read as a standalone but with a lot of the initial world building having been done in book one and the overarching storyline I would recommend reading as a series can’t wait to see what happens next.

This has been a long time coming so I must admit I did go back and re read book one to refresh my memory so didn't feel like I missed anything! Loved the first book and also this book whose mc's are Arsene and Nur. Their story is basically an enemies to lovers trope who happen to accidentally bond as mates! They seemed to have everything working against them from their traumatic pasts and other forces. It was such an emotionally journey following them work hard at their relationship and learning to trust each other. Looking forward to more but hope we do not have to wait as long!.

I'll admit I don't remember everything from Demon's Captive Omega (which I read way back when it was titled Demon's Captive Mate), but I remember loving it and it's characters. I was happy to see a book two, and was excited for this premise. Great world building and wonderful characters. I loved the omegaverse in this world, and loved the dynamic between Arsene and Nur. Their first meeting was tense and I was completely hooked. And I fell in love with Nur so much from his first chapter. I definitely need to go back and reread the first book and would love to see these two couples interact. Can't wait until the next book! Excellent.

I enjoyed Angel's Enemy Omega by Sera Bishop. It's the second book in the Court of the Hollow King. I liked Arsene and Nur's story. I enjoyed how both are incomplete. Arsene isn't a full primus, and Nur is a hollow and a vergis. I liked how they met and how they protected the caravan. Rhys was my favorite out of the humans, and I loved that Nur was more accepted by the humans than the angel was. I wish we had seen Nur and Arsene meet Vasia and Roth at the end of the book, but maybe that will happen in the next book.

Enjoyed this one a lot too! It follows a lot of the same patterns of the previous one of accidental bonding, working for the HEA, forced proximity, etc. but I always enjoy these caravaning romances. There was a bit too much push and pull for me personally which I couldn't even always follow and not enough wing grooming.
Personally, I wouldn't have minded the MC getting pregnant (especially bc womb breeding) but that's personal choice and I guess these books will speak to more readers without pregnancy.

NSFW infos:
- hollow, dark long hair with two white horns, slim and beautiful (feeds on other MC for sustenance, bottoms)
- big angel (tops)
- heat
- knotting
- nature sex

This was an intense and exciting read. I am honestly not usually a big fan of enemy to lover's stories but Nur and Arsene's dynamic really did it for me. The world building is top notch on top of the romance. They are both broken and lonely souls, and it takes an accidental bonding and a whole lot of physical interactions to start to break each other's walls down. Scorching hot physical interactions that is! There is a ton of spice to enjoy, and it is one of the strongest aspects of their relationship and the book as a whole. I am looking forward to the next unlikely couple!

Arsene is an Angel sent to guide a group of humans to there destination in a new settlement. A hellbeast kills one of the group and Arsene is tracking it, unfortunately the tables are turned and he is being tracked instead. He sets up a trap and captured the entity. Nur is a hollow who feeds off the souls of others to live. He has been kicked out of the Hell Kings realm to wander the wastelands. The story brings the conflicts of good versus evil when Arsene and Nur have differing opinions. It also shows cooperation, between the two and the humans.

Nur and Arsene are in a very complex relationship. Nur is a demon omega who seeks to eat souls banished to earth and seeking only to find the soul that he is most attracted to is really his mate. Arsene is an alpha angel who longs for his an omega of his own. He accepts the task in hopes of getting just that. He encounters Nur while is tasked with protecting humans and that is the beginning of an enemies to lovers story of epic proportions.

Nur and Arsene are very flawed beings. Both are far from their home in a very harsh world. In the other two books in the series humans are a footnote, but in this novel they are essential to the developement of the characters.
I loved seeing the way they grow closer and closer till realizing they are in love and will do anything to protect the other. I loved too that they are not perfect heroes but very relatable characters.
This book was well edited and was easy to read and enjoy.
I have only one complaint, I really wanted to see Nur and Vasia meeting again.

Wonderfully unique

I can't believe I enjoyed the story as much as I did. It's hard to run into unique omegaverse stories even in the mm Realm. But this story is like nothing I've written before it takes enemies to lovers to a whole new level. There's few apologies and plenty of hurdles but the fierceness of their love and passion has you in tears when it's tested.

You will not be disappointed and the spice is off the charts🌶🌶🌶🌶🌶 not only is it good but it's written well into the story. It's not your typical knotting but a little dirtier and a whole lot hotter 🥵🥵🔥

This is the second book in the Court of the Hollow King series. It is enemies to lovers turned bonded mates. Both Nur and Arsene have awful pasts and they struggle with what the mate bond will do for their future. Trust and love are hard earned. Like any good omega story, the heat scenes were steaming hot! Overall, the story was a great read, slow at times, but the hard earned HEA was worth it.

I received a copy of this book from GRR and this is my honest review.
