This was a cute story about a 13 yr. old girl who is kept locked in an attic at a school and attended by three people.
On her 13th Birthday she is taken away to stay with an elderly lady whose name is Nan. While exploring she encounters a chipmunk and discovers she is supposed to be the heir of the Griffin Throne. Her father was disgraced and Nan is her grandmother.
She follows the chipmunk to a cellar and they take a magical journey where she learns all about her heritage and what it means to be The Griffin Queen.
