Description of Book #1:

Dags Jourdain never asked to be an angel.

He called it “The Change,” but he couldn’t explain it. After a night of hallucinogens in the California desert, he crashed through the balcony windows of his East Hollywood apartment with honest-to-god wings on his back.

No one warned him about the chaotic mess of powers he’d inherit. Or that he’d black out every time he flew, waking up naked in random places. Or that he’d start fires. Or that every time he picked up a weapon, there was a good chance someone died.

Now Dags works as a P.I. in Hollywood, California. But only when he’s not hunting demons. Thanks to a particularly nasty one, Dags accidentally saves the life of a movie star, and it turns his life upside down. She hires him for protection and a dead guy leaves Dags his dog. Someone opens a hell portal under the Hollywood sign. A female homicide detective who hates Dags from high school wonders if he’s a serial killer.

Complicating all of that is Phoenix X, a gorgeous movie star with a hot movie star boyfriend. Dags can’t get her out of his head, and she’s just as inexplicably drawn to him. Unfortunately, with demons targeting Dags all over the city and an open portal letting in more, her fascination with him will probably get her killed.

So far I’ve enjoyed getting into the story of lost-fallen Angels, an interesting new look at this genre. Have to say it’s a very tense angsty series very hard to put down because you have to know what’s next. Hoping the rest continues to be as good.

Different take on angels

In the real word. Characters are not ordinary people but Hollywood royalty, very famous and very beautiful. Found several characters irritating and while they turned out better in the end, they were used to the spotlight on getting their way.
Dags as a Native American is also a different and unexpected kind of angel hero.

something really different!

I don’t believe I ever read anything like this collection before. The author pulled out all the stops! The difference between black and white is often just shades of grey. Even love and the actions behind it. To put it into one word, I choose magnificent! Read this series, it puts all sorts of preconceived ideas on their heads but leaves you with a smile.

Excellent Story! Keeps you mesmerized!

Loved every page. My only complaint is the lack of proofreading. It’s a very innovative storyline! You’ll be glad to read it.

Overall, the book was interesting and an enjoyable read. I found the characters to be irritating and repetitive in their reluctance to help themselves in their understanding of their burgeoning powers.

However, I am curious what happens next with Dags, Phoenix and Jade. So I will read book #4!
