I've seen a lot of shit in my time with STAHP and I thought I was prepared for anything. But when a sassy, green-haired omega marched into my office demanding my help with a trafficking case, I knew I was in trouble. Because one sniff told me the brave little spitfire was my fated mate. Jesse's got a smart mouth, a reckless streak a mile wide, and a heart too big for his own good. He drives me crazy in all the best and worst ways. Now all I can think about is keeping him safe while we work to take down the sick fucks preying on innocent omegas.
Of course, my headstrong mate has no intention of letting me wrap him in bubble wrap, even after he's abducted by the very assholes we're chasing. As the danger mounts and shocking betrayals threaten to tear STAHP apart from the inside out, I'm in a race against time to protect what's mine and destroy this sadistic operation once and for all.
This is the fifth book in an mpreg series about the attempts of a dangerous group of ruthless vigilantes to go lawful… with dubious success. Expect all the pulse-pounding action, scorching heat, and satisfying justice you've come to expect from a STAHP novel—along with a healthy dose of snark, found family feels, and two stubborn shifters learning to trust in the power and strength of true love. Not to mention a very special little surprise that will change their lives forever!
I really loved this book and love this series. I'm happy that Crista Crown has decided to continue on in the memory of the late Susi Hawke, who helped create this beautiful world. I hope that we will get another addition in the future. Get closer to taking down the traitor and his following. If you haven't already discovered this world, I suggest that you start with Team Alpha and work through Alphabits to The Novaks, then this one. That way you'll have a better understanding of what's going on and who's who. But, I suppose it's up to you. Thanks again to Crista Crown, I love you guys and your books so much. I own them all. Including the other series within this world. The Knot series.
I truly love every Alpha and STAHP book. They're full of witty humor, the warm and fuzzies, just enough action and angst, and of course, they all pack some serious heat. I wish Susi Hawke a Happy Heavenly Birthday, and thank her and Crista Crown from the depths of my soul for bringing together such wonderful stories. They helped get me through the most difficult and loneliest time of my life, when I was living in my car and had barely any contact with my few friends, and had lost my last close family member. They'll never know how much their stories have meant to me.
What a wonderful addition to the STAHP world. The gang is all here, facing new challenges, new loves, and new enemies. I love the synergy. While this story features Ian and Jesse's love match, there are more serious matters being addressed. From omega trafficking and kidnapping, to an internal threat, our men have their hands full. The danger is real. The sexy times are hot. And, yes, there are babies. Although the story doesn't come to a conclusion, there is HEA. You simply need to get this book. NOW!
I'm so happy that Ms Crown decided to continue this series. I loved all the books so far as well as all the other series that led us here. This was such a great read, I really enjoyed it. The characters are all so much fun. If you've read the rest of the series, or even the other series, you can't miss this one. Reading this I have to say that I didn't feel as though it was missing any element and it gives the feel that maybe somehow Ms Hawke is with you still and maybe helping to guide your pen at times. Keep up the great work, I know I will continue to follow your work.
Ian and Jesse's story is a wonderful addition to the series. Ian wants to give Jesse the world. He adores his mate. Jesse falls hard for his mate and then for the rest of the team. The guys give him the family he's been missing. The bad guys are dealt with and the mole exposed. Excited for the next book. Highly recommended authors and series.
I liked Ian and Jesse’s relationship but felt the timeline was rushed and all over the place. I hope we see the return of some previous characters for the over arching story
I was taken aback by how quickly the story took off! But, trust crista to have surprises in store. I had a suspicion about the traitor, but never imagined how the event went down…no he didn’t!!!!!
Another great addition to this series, and a terrific story. It's not a story that you'll want to miss. I would definitely recommend this book, series, and authors.
It’s good that you keep her spirit alive Crista. She is still so missed especially after reading one of her stories. Thank you very much. All of your fans appreciate you.
Loved Jesse!! He was hilarious! Ian let him have his independence, but he loved him so much. This was a great story. It was great catching up with the rest of the guys. Makes me want to do re-read of the series. Can't wait for the next book in the series!!
3.5⭐ Ian and Jesse’s relationship was sweet but the timeline was rushed and not always clear. Cameos of previous characters were very short and I missed some of them.
I really enjoyed this book. I thought Ian and Jesse were great together and their chemistry was off the charts. The last thing Ian expected is for his mate to march into his office and demand his and STAHP’s help with an omega trafficking case. Jesse is a complete spitfire. I loved that Ian waited until Jesse scented that they were mates before discussing what their options are. It showed Jesse that Ian will go at Jesse’s pace, even if it would be hard for Jesse to walk out if he so chose and eventually get to know each other after their heat/rut has passed. When Jesse suggested that he go undercover to try and get the evidence they need to move forward in the investigation he of course freaked out and went extremely protective and even had someone from STAHP acting as Jesse’s protection. Jesse finally told Ian that the omegas that he’s trying to talk to don’t like random alphas hanging around so they’ll be too scared to talk to Jesse. Ian relented with some stipulations that Jesse have a tracker on him and he be wired so they’ll know if he’s in any danger.
Jesse believed that Ian thought he was weak and needs protection of an alpha but it wasn’t that at all. He’s just absolutely terrified that he’s going to lose Jesse after only just finding each other. Jesse knew that Ian wasn’t trying to stop him from doing his job or trying to keep track of him, it’s just that while they’re trying to gather information on an omega trafficking ring that Jesse is in the thick of it so it’s best to be careful. I think it’s cute how much of a softy Ian is for his spitfire of a mate Jesse. I loved getting snippets of some of the characters that we’ve gotten to know during this series so far, especially snippets of Ronan and Patrick as Patrick just makes me smile. I think that Crista did Susi proud (rest in peace Susi, you’ll be greatly missed). I still think that Crista is a complete and utter rockstar, as she’s planning on finishing this series and the Knotted Paths series by herself. I know that as a fan I’m really grateful that Crista has decided to keep on writing even after her good friend and co-writer isn’t here anymore. I’m guessing it’ll be Crash’s turn to find his true mate next. I’d definitely recommend this book, series, universe and authors to everyone.
I love how Crista still has Susi's name on these books, they started the series together, and Crista is doing an amazing job by continuing them on her own.
We meet Ian, a member of STAHP, and he meets his mate Jesse, but Jesse is working on his own case, which brings problems?
Full of the fantastic teams we know, STAHP and Team Alpha. Mpreg, Shifters, Danger and Protection. What a perfect book, plus we know the stories will continue as there is a story in the background that needs resolving.
