This is the second book in the series, but can be read as a standalone.

I really enjoyed this gritty gangland thriller which involved kidnapping, guns, drugs, and lots of bloody violence. It was my first read by Stephanie Harte, but definitely will not be my last.

Thanks to the author, Boldwood Books, and NetGalley for providing me with this free ARC, with which I leave a voluntary review.

The heat has been well and truly turned up full blast in this 2nd book in the Kennedy Twins series. The story is perfectly ruthless and gritty, much to my delight.
Daisy and Lily may be twins, but that doesn't make them close, but when the chips are down and Lily is kidnapped, Daisy will stop at nothing to get her sister back.
But who has taken Lily and why, and will there be other casualties in the quest to get her back.
The new addition to the series Bernice is a great move. I loved her.
Yet again, the ending leaves you craving more. I'm looking forward to book 3 already. Many thanks to Netgalley and Boldwood Books for the ARC.

I thoroughly enjoyed this gripping gangland thriller; it exceeded my expectations in every way. Although it is the second instalment in the series, it is expertly crafted to stand independently. That said, having read the first book, I was eagerly anticipating a deeper exploration of the characters and their increasingly complex relationships, and author Harte did not disappoint!

The story unfolds in a gritty underworld, immersing readers in a compelling narrative that draws you in from the very first pages. The characters are well-developed and vivid, each carrying their own burdens and motivations that add layers to the plot. The writing is sharp and evocative, painting a realistic picture of the dangers and intrigues of gang life.

The plot is fast-paced and filled with unexpected twists that kept my heart racing. Just when I thought I had figured things out, Hart skillfully flipped the narrative, leading to jaw-dropping moments that heightened the stakes and kept me on the edge of my seat. This was an adrenaline-fueled ride from start to finish, making it difficult to put the book down.

Overall, it was an absorbing experience that left me eager for the next chapter in this thrilling saga.

Double Dealings by Stephanie Harte.
Book 2 of 3: The Kennedy Twins.
I did enjoy this book. I liked the cover and blurb of this book. The chapters were short, which is what I like. Each chapter was between Daisy, MacKenzie, Samson, and Lily. This was a gripping read. I loved Bernice. She was like a mother. I was surprised by what happened. I didn't expect that. I read this in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. I really can't wait for the next book. I want to know what happens. I would recommend this book.

If you love Martina Cole, Kimberley Chambers and any author that writes British Gangland books you're sure to love anything by Stephanie Harte.

Double Dealings is the second in the Kennedy Twins series and I thoroughly enjoyed this book but I could only give it 4 stars for the same reason I only gave the previous book (Double Trouble) 4 starts too. Both books came to an abrupt and premature end cut off simply, it seems, to make readers wait for the next book. I love a series so I have no problem waiting for another book but both of the books in this series could have progressed further and it would have made so much more sense than stopping them where they actually ended.

Cassie is still desperately trying to find her twin Lily who has been taken in this latest installment and in the process she is getting involved with people that are bound to make the situation a lot worse. Added to this, she has to tell her parents that Lily is missing and sees her father get violently attacked. Luckily she finds some support but ends up seeing things that she is going to take a very long time to forget.

Thank you to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book.

Thai is the first Stephanie Harte book I have read and it won’t be the last. This was a very good, gritty, gangland book. I’m just about to start the next book in the series and I will go back and read the first one too so I can find out how Daisy & Mackenzie got together in the first place.

Daisy Kennedy’s twin sister Lily had been kidnapped. They were both singers at Eden nightclub and worked for Samson Fox. Two men had grabbed Lily and Daisy saw it happening.

Daisy went to see her old boyfriend Mackenzie who worked for Roscoe and his wife Bernice. Roscoe and Samson were old enemies and Samson was looking for Mackenzie as he stole from him.

I liked the way that the book was split into different chapters for each character and we got the story from everyone’s point of view. This made it very easy to read and I really enjoyed it.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publishers for a copy of this book in return for an honest review.

A great read! It was only when I got a quarter of the way in, that I realised that this was book number 2 in a series. I will definitely go back and read the first book, but I understood quite well what had happened previously.
There is grit, danger and suspense galore in this book, I enjoyed every minute, hanging on the edge of my seat at times and shouting at the book as you would with a TV program when you can see something unfolding, but the character can't. Really looking forward to reading number 1 and then number 3.

Double Dealings continues on from the first book where Lily has been kidnapped and twin sister Daisy will not give up until she finds her. This is a gritty gangland story full of violence, deceit and gang war. Much to my delight the plot had a lot of bloodshed but not so much that it was gory. I actually really like the females in the plot and I grew to quickly admire Bernice and I hope she will feature in the future books. The pages of the book turned themselves as I became obsessed with the story!

I decided to carry on with the series after reading double trouble the first book. I’m glad I did as this book is definitely better. Now that you understand the characters and this book is more fast paced then book one. Daisy has her work cut out when her twin Lily gets kidnapped. Can she find out where she is and get her back. I don’t want to give any spoilers but if you like this genre please read this series. I’m now looking forward to double cross which is the next one in this series.

I am preserving with this series because I like to finish what I start. There is nothing wrong with the writing. It is just becoming too far fetched.

This is just as brilliant as the first book in this series. Convinced Samson Fox is responsible for her twin sister Lily’s kidnapping, Daisy Kennedy joins forces with his biggest rival Roscoe Allen. However although Samson Fox is one tough gangland boss is he the one who has Lily? A gritty gangland thriller that is certainly not for the feint hearted this has plenty of twists and turns. I do like how each chapter is written from the main characters perspective and how there is absolutely no way of knowing how it’s going to turn out. With great complex characters, an intense storyline and some really gruesome scenes I read this in one day! Thanks to Boldwood Books and Netgalley for the ARC
