DOC is the seventh book in the Devil’s Nightmare MC series by USA Today Bestselling Author Lena Bourne. It is a standalone story with a guaranteed HEA ending, no cliffhanger, and no cheating!
Doc
I’m a lone wolf, I fly solo, and I’m not looking to find a woman to settle down with. The sum total of what I still want from this world is peace and silence, and being alone with my thoughts. That all held true until Anne came into my life. From the moment I saw her slumped over the wheel of her crashed car on the side of the road, I knew I wanted to know all there is to know about her.
But the more I find out, the more impossible claiming her becomes. She’s running from her abusive ex, and that’s a thing my brothers and I could easily deal with. But her ex is also an FBI Special Agent, and he’ll do whatever it takes to get her back. Messing with him could get us all arrested, or worse, killed.
I can’t let her go and I can’t risk the lives of my brothers to keep her. The choice between Anne and the MC is impossible to make. But, one way or another, I’ll have to make it.
Devil's Nightmare MC is biker romance novel, which contains steamy sex scenes and deals with disturbing themes that may be uncomfortable for some readers. Intended for 18+ audiences.

I love hearing from my readers! Here's just some ways you can find me online...
Doc was the seventh book in Lena Bourne’s Devil’s Nightmare MC series.
Doc was the resident MC doctor. He was former military and his life’s work was all about saving lives. And that included stopping to help a car accident victim while on his way out of town for a peaceful vacation. Enter Anne.
Anne was running from her abusive husband, who also happened to be an FBI agent. She used to be a strong, independent woman until he turned her into a shell of herself that she no longer recognized. On her rapid journey out of the country, she had a car accident and met Doc.
Bourne took us through each of their back stories, their introduction, a few twists and a few MC conflicts. The plot aligned with the previous book, Hawk, with Doc’s ending occurred just slightly after Hawk’s concluded. Fair warning, there was domestic violence content that could be a trigger for some.
As with the previous books in the series, I enjoyed the suspenseful nature of the storyline. There were a few loose ends at the end where a resolution was implied but hopefully we’ll get a clearer conclusion as part of the ongoing story within the remaining books of the series. The poetic Ink is up next in book eight.
One of the best in the series. I really liked this one. I didn’t have to get upset at the hero and not like him. Doc was sweet and caring. Anne had lots over come. The outcome was predictable but satisfying! The other books in the series seemed to have a different feel, but this one stood out with over coming and finding love. As always love conquers all!
Received a copy from the author. Thanks very much!
Finally made it back to this series. Took me a few to catch up with who was who and which MC it was. That kinda happens when you read a whole lot of MC books...lol
Doc was a medic in the military. He and his best friend joined up together. After he lost him He went on to get his MD hoping not to loose anyone else. You can't save everyone. He's out and part of the MC now. Sometimes everyone needs a break and Doc went to his cabin to get some peace and quiet but on the way ran across an accident where a woman ran off the road into a tree. He stuck with her because she seemed familiar. She is the sister to his old best friend and she is on the run.
Anne was a nurse until her husband said she needed to quit because he was tired of her being stressed and depressed. It starts somewhere...the divide of family and friends. Her husband is a FBI agent and can track her anywhere. He can do whatever he wants to her and get away with it. He can beat her or even lock her in the basement because nobody will help her and not suffer. While he is out of town she makes a run for it but crashed her car and ended up in the hospital.
Doc wants to help but the MC doesn't need the heat brought to the MC. He knows if he sends her on her way she won't make it on her own. Can he keep her to himself away from the club and her husband? Her husband doesn't do things the legal way. Can either of them survive and what damage will come to the club?
Happy doesn't even cover the way I was feeling when this amazing lady told me that she was about to finish this new book. And now, seeing it on my kindle I was beyond excited. It's been a while since she gave me a new book so you can guess the way I was shaking with the need to read it asap. This author has given me some of the best MC books I've ever read so the spark is super high. Lena Bourne knows what she's doing and her books are a breath of joy and excitement. She knows how to spike our attention and melt our hearts. Doc is her latest release and it's the seventh book from the Devil's Nightmare MC. Each book is a standalone but if you really want to understand this series better you'll read them all. You won't regret it... This new book explores the lifes of Doc and Anne. Anne thought that she found her happily ever after, that she had found her prince but instead she found the devil. She's been abused by her husband for so long that she can't get away. But how can she? She has no-one to go to... Doc used to be a field doctor during the wars he battled and that made him grumpy and mad all the time. The things he saw changed him. But now his life is complete with his MC brothers, but sometimes that life can be suffocating. Since the moment his president found his Old Lady things had changed. It was for the best but it's not what he's used to. On a getaway to the woods... I'm speechless. This books was so much more than what I was hoping for. I knew it was going to be a freaking amazing story but it was so much more. Perfect plot, very well written, super engaging, suspenseful and dark. Each chapter let me eager to know more because I was afraid for the characters. Things were happening in a way that I was shaking. Of course that not everything that was going on was a dark because we are transported to a place of desire and hotness... Of boy... The hot scenes... This book presented us with love, loyalty, friendship, family ties, second chances as well as abuse, crime, punishment, drama and madness. It was perfect the way this author approached this topic. Unfortunately domestic violence is here and we need to pay attention and fight for our life's and help others if we can. It was perfect to have news from the other characters from this series and is super impressive the ability that this author had to join this story with the previous ones. I've had a bunch of questions while reading the other books. Lena you are a magician with a pen. This book was perfect and I was left wanting more. Can I have more? I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
I stopped at 56%. The only reason why I read this far is because I loved all the other books. This book, so far, has largely been one of flowery nonsense. If I wanted to read about a sweet romance, then I would not read an MC series.
Doc is so emotionally damaged he feels he will never find love so decided his solo life is what he wants. If it hadn't been for his brothers in the Devil s nightmare mc,he would either be dead or in prison. He is headed for his house hidden away far from everything he goes there to try an find peace but this time on the way he finds a wreck with a beautiful woman unconscious and in bad shape. He calls for an ride from a brother an rushed her to the hospital the ER doc is a friend of his an the club. After she's taken care of the Doctor calls him into a room to oo k at the xrays. She has several healed breaks an it's a site sign of an abused woman. When she finally wakes up she get freaked out she's in the hospital an knows her husband will find her an he will kill her this time.A handsome muscle bound guy is sitting next to her bed but is he a friend or foe.?When she hears a commotion in the hall the voice of her abusive husband she starts to shake.Doc tells her everything will be ok.She says he found me an he 'll kill me this time.Doc makes a call an says being a car meet me out back.He tells his friend to keep the Fed busy so he can get her out of there. He picks Anne up and carries her down towards the morgue an out a door that would set off the alarms of one of his brothers didn't shut it down temporarily. He tells her to stay down until they get out of the hospital. The action, suspense an twists an turns Will keep you riveted until the very last page and leave you begging for more.I love the way this amazing author brings the characters to life before your eyes and you can feel their emotions and their pain.I can hardly wait to see what's next by this multi talented author.
Doc is the seventh book in the Devil’s Nightmare MC series, but can be read as a stand alone. Anne is on the run from her abusive, FBI agent husband when she crashes her car. Doc is an MC member that finds her car, recognizing her from a lifetime ago, and wants to do anything to save her. But Anne didn’t run far enough and Doc doesn’t know how he can help her and keep his brothers safe. When she wants to confront her past, will Doc be able to keep her safe and loved?
Oh, this book was so good, full of healing, finding your inner strength, finding that most important thing to fight for, and figuring out what love truly means. Anne and Doc were an amazing couple that needed to overcome a lot, but I loved them together and I loved their passion. Anne lived with a monster with power, but she learned to protect herself the best way she could and was such a fighter when she needed to be. Doc is used to running from his problems, but I loved that he cared so much about his brothers, those he lost, and for Anne. I loved that her nursing background fit so well with Doc being a doctor, and I loved that they both had protective streaks! I think my favorite part about this whole book was just knowing they were able to work on healing each other and gave both of them something to fight for. There is a lot that goes on in this book, especially with her ex, but some things seem to coincide with Hawk’s book, too. While I haven’t read every book in this series, this book definitely stands out to me. I loved the emotions, I loved the drama, I loved their connection, and I loved the ending!
A heart breaking read at times about an abused woman, Anne, and what she has endured by the hands of her husband Benji. She finally has enough strength and determination to leave the abusive a**, only to have her car crash and Doc coming to her rescue. Fate plays into this story as Doc aka Matt, recognizes the woman but hasn’t seen her in years. Turns out they do know each other and are connected from the past, making Doc determined to save her and get her out of her husband’s life. But it’s more than that for him, when he’s around Anne, he finally finds peace, something he has been searching for a long time, hence his secluded cabin. Anne is determined to face her fears and end everything with Benji, much to Doc’s reservations...will either man let her go. An amazing read with heartbreak, heartache, abuse, some suspense, hope, determination and steamy steamy scenes. I loved Anne’s determination and the way the author explained her fog, made me feel like I was right there with her. I loved Doc’s loyalty to the MC and my heart broke for him and the reasons why he tried so hard to save everyone. The story flowed beautifully, with characters that were easy to fall for, the emotions jumped off the pages making me misty eyed at times but it was all worth it to get to the end, which left a huge smile on my face. I also LOVED the no other women drama and how the story focused on them to get to where they are now as well as the appearance of past characters in the MC. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
The Devil's Nightmare MC has a new installment and it is just as amazing as you would expect from Ms. Bourne. Ms. Lena Bourne created this superbly crafted Brotherhood of men and you need to read her work to understand just how addictive her work is. Doc can be read as standalone MC romance or you can follow this series.
I do try very hard never to give away too much information in my reviews so that I do not ruin it for reader's. Here it goes...
Matthew, aka Doc, is an actual Doctor that is part of the Devil's Nightmare MC. He is a loner by choice, but when he heads to his cabin in the woods, what he comes across, instantly, alters his life. Anne, a now unpracticing Nurse, has been in an abusive marriage for years. She has finally got a plan to escape her Husband and takes the only chance she's got to run. Unfortunately, nothing goes as planned. Doc has an emotionally powerful storyline and the characters are written in such a believable way, you can not help but to root for them. This takes incredible talent and creativity. In their former years, Doc was best friends with Anne's brother and he feels he owes it to him to try to help Anne. This is a fast-paced read full of danger & intrigue. Should you love MC romances, then please trust Ms. Bourne definitely delivers.
I voluntarily requested an advanced reader's copy Doc in exchange for my honest opinion and I couldn't recommend it more. I can not wait to see what is next for this MC Brotherhood.
The Devils Nightmare MC is back with Docs story and as with the other ones this is full of action and soul searching and of course brotherhood.
Matt (Doc) is on his way to his cabin in the woods for the solitude and peace he can only try to find there when he comes across a car crashed into a tree, he helps the lady, calls an ambulance and goes with her to the hospital, she looks familiar but can't place her.
Anne, is escaping her abusive FBI Agent husband when as a result of the concusion he has probably given her, she crashes into a tree and blacks out. When she comes too she is in hospital and the first person she sees is Doc, when he introduces himself, she can't believe that he's her dead brothers best friend, who she hadn't seen in years, and neither can he, he has never forgiven himself for not saving his best friend. As Doc's seen the x rays he knows they can only come from abuse, she tells him all about her husband and that he is FBI when the husband shows up shouting, he gets her out of there and takes her to his Cabin, vowing to help her.
As you can guess, the husband doesn't take kindly to this intervention and being FBI makes things difficult.
I would definitely recommend this book, it's an unputdownable, page turner, I devoured it in a day and I can't wait to read more in the Devil Nightmare MC.
I received a copy and I am voluntarily leaving my own honest opinion.
As more and more of the brothers settle down the MC is involved in less and less violence which means Doc is called on less. This leaves him feeling at a bit of a loose end and for someone carrying the baggage and scars that he is having time on your hands is more often a curse than a blessing. He is heading out for a few days' time out when he comes across Anne who wrecked her car fleeing from a marriage that is little more than a living hell. He saves her life once by taking her to the hospital and again getting her away from the hospital when her husband discovers where she is. The problem is he is law enforcement and Doc knows he cannot bring that kind of heat down on the MC so if he is going to continue to protect her he will have to do it alone. I just fell in love with both of them and the way the helped each other heal and grow just melted my heart. The characters are perfectly crafted and the story has passion, danger and action aplenty.
I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.
Doc and Anne are two people who fill in each other's empty spaces in their hearts and souls. The question is will that be enough to allow these once childhood friends have a happily ever after. Anne has to seperate herself from her FBI husband who won't take no for an answer. Doc needs to come to terms with himself about what he needs and deserves. Also, the issue of an FBI agent's wife up close and personal with a member of the Devil's Nightmare MC is a huge risk that Doc can't ignore.
This is a gripping suspenseful drama that not only exposes a very real issue that many women face who no hope of salvation, it has an hot, steamy and romantic story between Doc and Anne that has all the promise of a beautiful future but, will it become a reality. I highly recommend this book as well as the series.
I voluntarily reviewed this after receiving a free copy.
This is a wonderfully written story with excellent characters. Doc is a loner and not looking for a woman to complicate his life. So when he finds a woman who has been in an accident on the side of the road he just wants to get her taken care of and move on. But when he looks at Anne she seems familiar, but he can't quite place her. Anne is on the run from her horrible life when an accident changes everything. She finds herself looking into a face from her past and hoping for a brighter future. Of course what Anne is running from won't be easily left behind. Can Doc help her or will she end up being sucked back into her past? Grab this awesome book to find out!!! Definitely a must read and I highly recommend it!
Love this series and this one will not disappoint you! Doc has been looking for peace for the past decade since his best friend died. He goes to his cabin to be alone, but never really finds and relief until he is heading that way and comes across a wreck. The girl looks familiar, but he can't place her, but she recognizes him fairly quickly as her brother's best friend growing up. Doc has never experienced true love and he owes his loyalty to his MC, but will Anne change that? I love the way this story unfolds, learning to trust again for both Anne and Doc. I received an ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.
I have always enjoyed all the Devil's Nightmare books but I think this may be my favorite. Doc is fighting his own demons. He is one of the brothers but he doesn't necessarily feel like he belongs. He's always angry. Anne is trying to get away from her nightmare and find herself again. She and Doc meet and realize they have a long history. Doc was her brothers best friend. This story is about two people who are "broken" and find their pieces with each other. This is a sweet love story. That has so bad moments. There is a theme that may cause issues for some be aware. I was given this book for an honest voluntary review.
Excellent motorcycle (MC) romantic suspense. Doc and his MC work and play hard but as a former military/combat doctor he’s seen his share of deaths. He’s the one his MC brothers call when one of them has been hurt. Anne worked as an ER nurse until she married her FBI husband. Turns out he was a violent monster. This story has scenes of blatant abuse so it can have triggers. Ms. Bourne handles the subject well while incorporating it into this book. I received a complementary copy of this book and chose to write a review. I look forward to reading future books by this author.
I didn't like this book as much as the others in this series as the chemistry between Anna and Matt was there, but not as intense as in previous stories. I would have liked this book more if the same word hadn't been repeatedly used to describe how Anna was in a fog as an abused wife and also when she was having sex with Matt. To me, those two scenarios are so vastly different that it makes Anna more of a one dimensional character.
I reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book and voluntarily leaving this review.
I loved Doc and Anne's story. This emotional story pretty much captured my heart right from the start. I felt so much for both these characters. What Anne has going through with her ex is all too common and as such is so much more relatable than we would like it to be. I could really feel Doc's emotional turmoil between his loyalty to the club and his brothers and his desire for and need to protect Anne. The characters are complex, the story engaging and the emotions deep in this totally enjoyable read. This is my candid, voluntary review.
This one goes a little dark, but the author dealt with the issues well as they were a necessary part of the storyline. I liked getting a glimpse of some pop ups of the main characters from previous stories. Anne's resilience knows no bounds. She remained a strong likeable character throughout the story. Doc was like a savior and protector for Anne. They had a common bond and loss along with an abundance of love and the "family" (brotherhood) to help them heal. Action, danger, drama, and heat make this a fast paced edge of your seat read I was totally immersed in.
Oh my gosh, the Devil's Nightmare MC series is one of my favorites and Doc...wow...one of the best of the series! We got glimpses of Doc in previous books, so I've been waiting and hoping he'd get his own story and I definitely wasn't disappointed when he did. Doc and Anne are amazing together, sexy, funny and pretty sweet. We also got to revisit the Devil's Nightmare clan and that's always a special treat. Excellent job, as usual, Ms. Bourne. Looking forward to the next chapter in this fabulous series!
Doc's story in the Devil's Nightmare MC series wasn't may favorite. Somehow I couldn't connect to this couple as much as others in this series. I would have liked a lot more dialogues where the characters actually talked to one another, and a lot less inner monologues and narration. Also I felt like I was a lot more in Anne's head through her POV like she had more chapters than Doc and it felt a bit imbalanced. Both Anne and Doc were likeable characters though. I was happy they had their HEA.
Doc is such a quiet character that you want to know how he ticks. When he's had enough of the brotherhood he seeks solitude in his cabin in the woods.
Anne used to be an independent woman till she's abused into submission by her FBI husband. BUT that spark is not completely extinguished, she finally leaves and that does not go well with Benji (the husband).
From here we have a story with amazing emotion from 2 great characters, I just couldn't put it down!
Can't wait to see what else Lena with gift us with <3
I tried not roll my eyes so hard at this when I started reading it. Be as I might, those eye rolls could not stop me from reading ahead and wanting to know everything that was about to happen. Doc pretty much became a guilty pleasure for me. The drama. Oh! The drama was at every turn. The damage and the romance was emanating off the pages. The action and suspense were palpable. This was a must read.
OMG when I thought Lena couldn't beat her last book she smashed this one out the park. This book is about Doc(matt) who meets up with his best friend little sister Anne under unfortunate circumstances. Their chemistry from the first meet is explosive and they try not to act on it but they just can't, so Doc needs the MC for help. This book is s great read and I fell in love with Doc and cannot wait for more. I voluntarily read and reviewed a advanced copy arc.
Had a brilliant time getting to know all about Doc as he has been a quite one in all the previous book. Lena clearly saved a whopper storyline for him as its heart-breaking and at the same heart-warming.
Doc finds what he did not know he was searching for and Roxie gets to pay back a very big favour. The sanctuary is aptly named as people tend to finally get solace when they meet the delicious Devil’s Nightmare Men
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.
This cover is HOT and fits Doc perfectly!!!! I loved the wild ride Doc and Anne were on. It may be a touchy subject for others but to see the strength in Anne was good. Lena did a good job with this story. The details were thoroughly written. I hope there's more to come from the Devil's Nightmare MC.
Doc is the seventh book in the steamy Devil's Nightmare MC romance series and can be read as a standalone. The writing is good, and the story is fantastic. There's plenty of suspense, drama, action, and steamy scenes that will keep you turning the pages to see how the story unfolds.
I volunteered to review an advance reader copy of this book.
Lena Bourne writes awesome MC romances. This book is about Doc, who we have read in the past books of the series. He runs into his best friend's younger sister, Anne, who he hasn't seen in decades. She is in a bad space and needs his help. The writing made it easy to get sucked into this book. I can't wait to read about Ice next!
Enjoyed the story. Doc wanted his privacy but wanted to help an old friend out more. Anne was an abused wife and wanted to get away. Their attraction grew and she wanted to get out of her abusive marriage. Doc's main concern was protecting Anne. His brothers in the MC helped. I recommend the book. I would like to read the others. I am voluntarily giving this review.
