My personal copy of this book has vanished, but it was a powerful influence on me as a high school senior in 1969 and one of the resources I drew on, along with books by Herbert Marcuse and songs by Bob Dylan and Phil Ochs, in a high school valedictory address. Like today, those were dark times, but also filled with energy and optimism that seems in more limited supply today.
