A missing girl. A ticking clock. And Mia and Roman may be her only hope.
Having put the troubles of her past in the rearview mirror once and for all, Mia is finally able to draw breath again. Newly engaged to Roman and with wedding plans afoot, life is feeling decidedly normal.
Normal that is until she hears of a young girl missing right from the small town of Dalton.
Immediately, Mia’s psychic senses ignite, assuring her that Clary Parsons is still alive.
With Roman by her side, they start the hunt. But there are too many suspects and nothing but shadows pointing to the location of the kidnapped girl.
When they receive an anonymous message from the captor, they know that Clary’s time is almost up.
Marion Myles hasn't always been a writer. She spent the first few decades of her life as a professional equestrian and travelled across North America training and competing at horse shows.
Aside from horses, she has had an enduring love affair with the written word. Her reading interests run the gamut from mystery to fantasy to woman's fiction and even young adult. But when it comes right down to it, her heart definitely lies in the romance section.
When not riding or writing, she devotes any spare moments to battling a debilitating addiction to Smarties and stalking her favourite authors on the internet. She's proud to say there are currently no restraining orders filed against her.
Marion lives in Southwestern Ontario with her beloved dachshund and her husband - also very much beloved!
This is the third book in the series. I really like the two main characters and have enjoyed the paranormal aspects. This book took me completely off guard, however, with all the religious overtones/facets that were introduced into it. I hope that doesn't continue with the next book.
Out of the three books I have read from this series, this was absolutely the best. What an awesome story. The ending was a shock. I cannot wait until the next book. I don’t know how I am going to last a year.

When Mia gets a vision of Clary - weak and emaciated - she realizes her time is almost up.
I enjoyed this book as we learn more about Roman and Mia and their plans for their upcoming wedding. There was a lot of interviews of suspects as they try to find the missing girl Clary. There was also a lot of religion info as Clary's parents were very devout. Also, statutory rape was involved as Clary was a minor at 16/17 and had many lovers in jobs of responsibility. I'm afraid I guessed who the kidnapper was fairly early and I must admit to finding the whole premise of Clary and her devious ways hard to believe in someone so young. I also couldn't deal with Roman and Mia's explicit sex scene in such a mundane novel. Felt totally out of place. Would have felt better in a 'fade to black' and for the reader to use their imagination. But maybe that's just me. I may continue with this series in the future.
I followed Mia in the first book where she met Roman under not so great circumstances but it was still pretty interesting-second book was a bit disappointing watching Mia almost throw it all away for someone who would not have done the same for her and now the third where Mia and Roman's wedding fast approaches...at last!!! But wait we have to take time out to find a missing girl and in between that read relgious tracts that seem to go on and on and on......and still no wedding. What a let down.
This was a difficult book to read! The salacious central theme, religious fanaticism, and disgusting suspects! I did finish reading the book but I had to push through it! The ending was well done, the psychic angle is interesting and Mia and Roman continue to be very interesting characters! Overall this story was just depressing and anxiety producing!
Enjoyed this book love Roman and Mia so good together in,it kept me intrested until the very end I didn’t guess the ending which is usual for me as I often guess the bad guy, I would recommend this book its mixture of romance and detecting skills to keep the reader on their toes
There was so many elements to this book. You wondered who took her. I love Roman and Mia, they are so good together. It had a surprising ending, never saw it coming. One more book, and its ordered already.
I cannot believe the twists and turns this story took! I love Mia and Roman and her best friend Brooke. This was such a great mystery! I must say, I never guessed. Loved it!
Loved every page of this book. A really good read. A little romance but I loved the psychic suspense and investigative work . Can't wait to read the next book in this serious. If you like investigative stories this right up there for you .
Excellent thriller, qui se déroule dans la petite ville de Dalton. Mia et Roman enquête autour d’une jeune fille disparue. Les sujets abordés sont graves chantage, prostitution juvénile, fanatisme religieux Très bien.
It's a wonderful book. I've loved them all so far. Can't wait for the next one to come out. I love that it's written about a town close to where I live.
