1 Sentence Summary: When Victoria gets a new job she has to move all the way to Edinburgh, and while she misses London, she soon makes some new friends as well as an enemy, an annoying man named Noah.
My Thoughts: I don’t know, I just didn’t really like any of the characters. They were all kinda annoying and childish. Also, I wasn’t invested in the story or the romance. The writing style wasn’t my favorite either. It could have been more developed and more polished.
A wonderful, well-written, very cosy, and extremely funny novel.
This is a (meta)story about writing as much as it is multiple love stories, a couple of them are also queer love-stories. The characters where (mostly) lovely and adorable. I absolutely loved Archie, Rory, Finley and Elsie.
The story lost me a few times, but that was not down to the author or the writing but rather to the fact that some of those small-talk scenarios described went totally over my autistic-introverted head; an indication for the superb writing, because that is exactly what happens in real life too.
I can definitely recommend this to everybody who loves a cosy story with diverse, well-written and developed characters that as many, many laugh-out-loud moments and is, all in all, just wonderful and cosy.
A perfect read for a rainy day in front of a fireplace, with some (hot) chocolate and a cuddly blanket.
‘Throw Him Under A Train’ is the second book that I have read by this author. Firstly, the cover was eye catching and lovely and the book itself is free on kindle unlimited.
It’s the perfect book if you want something fairly light yet really well written. The characters were well rounded and Luana Guinta has a delightful writing style!
For the 2-3 chapters we were introduced to the characters, and from there I couldn't put it down. I loved the way the story came together, and all the side characters - especially Archie. There was one part towards the end when I literally cried with laughter. And the name of the book - perfection!
"Luana Giunta has done it again! This is the second romantic comedy I have read by this author and I wasn't disappointed! She presents her characters with exceptional skill, and weaves her stories like a true pro! I highly recommend this book! Pick it up and enjoy it!"
