These continue to be a highlight of my life. I loved Rosemyne’s careening about, and then seeing Ferdinand’s thoughts at the end. I shall even appreciate their eventual emotional awakening, as long as Myne gets her library. That is of course paramount.

Rozemyne, Ferdinand and their knights travel to the Royal Academy to subdue the invaders. Detlinde is so out of touch and incredibly oblivious, it isn't new but it still hurts to see, but this time he had knights with him who didn't hold back restraining her.
"Her head did strike a few rocks while I was bringing her here, but I see no reason to fret about it; she has nothing between her ears to begin with."

After having to threaten the royal family to get some backup they face the traitorous knights, shortly after Gervasio comes back from the garden of beginnings with a Grutrissheit and everyone notice how much he looks like Ferdinand.
Apparently Adalgisa boys are named in Italian numbers, but the author chose the feminine spelling.

The three of them are summoned by the gods who want to crown a new Zent as soon as possible, Mestionora possess Rozemyne's body to talk to them. None of them possess a complete Grutrissheit so they agree to a challenge to prove their worth.

Rozemyne seem to think Ferdinand acted nicer to Mestionora, because she's a goddess, but I have a feeling his attitude might have been worse, he was also the only one who could look at her while she had the goddess mana without being name sworn.

El Ascenso Del Ratón De Biblioteca

Volumen 31

❤️📖❤️

Arco 5

La Encarnación De La Diosa 10

📖❤️📖

¡¡ Sublime !!

❤️✨❤️

Volumen 31 de esta fascinante e increíble aventura

¡¡ Demasiadas Emocioneeeees !!

Y no exagero...

¡¡ Increíble !!

❤️📖❤️

( No exagero )

❤️❤️❤️

Son maravillosos

❤️📖❤️

Recomendada 1000%

❤️❤️❤️

The battle for Ehrenfest has been finished, now the battle for the kingdom starts and a tense struggle it is. Which delivers a very interesting main story. I just feel that shortening the main story for the various after stories that more or less tell the same thing from a different perspective are rather redundant and at times downright boring. Don't get me wrong, at times there are some very interesting titbits, but I feel that they could have been delivered in fewer after stories. Why show Hartmut's outburst through a different point of view even though that event ran exactly as I imagined when that story was told to Myne earlier in the main story. O well, the main story is still as good and fun as earlier volumes with world building, and character development we come to expect, so again, 3.5 stars rounded up.

Exciting conclusion of the various Yurgenschmidt battles

This was a great continuation to the battles, this time with the Lanzaneves in the Sovereignty and concluded with the Zent race. I love that we got additional different perspectives of the fights giving us a better picture of the overall battle for the Sovereignty. As much as Detlinde is an annoying character, her epilogue (a very oblivious and narcissistic inner monologue) was both funny and frustrating - just as I want it to be.

Quick on the heels of The Battle of Ahrensbach, and in between intrepid exploits to excise and purge assorted betrayers of Yurgenschmidt, Lady Rozemyne and Lord Ferdinand endeavor to track down the masterminds behind these dangerous affairs. They can and they will; but do they have the power to stop them?

ASCENDANCE OF A BOOKWORM v31 is an action-packed climax upon an action-packed climax. The previous two volumes loaded up all sorts of violent conflicts for the series' key characters to engage for the sake of their families, their home duchies, and their belief in the will of the Zent. But it's not over. Not by a wide margin. Because the nefarious Rablut, commander of the Sovereign Knight's Order, is far more insidious than first believed. Because Lord Gervasio, the king of Lanzenave, is well into the motions necessary to claim his own Gutrissheit. And because Rozemyne and Ferdinand's allies, though numerous, are equally split among their own obligations, responsibilities, and intuitions in times of crisis.

Overall, the story for the current volume is tightly written: It's back to the Royal Academy. Detlinde and her entourage have taken up residence at the Adalgisa Villa, aiming to launch an offensive to take over the Sovereignty. The young woman whom everyone agrees to hate is still throwing her weight around. Fortunately for readers, her arrogance catches up to her. Ahrensbach's freshly reformed order of knights, paired with some folks on loan from Dunkelfelger, see to it that Detlinde and her pathetic older sister are stopped in their tracks.

Interestingly, the story sticks to the Royal Academy, because if Gervasio is circling the shrines in an effort to noodle his way through the requirements of becoming Zent, then the suppressed rebellion morphs into a hunt, which then evolves into a race. Putting down a mouthy Zent candidate is one thing. But clashing blades with Lanzenave-affiliated Sovereign Order knights? Chasing down and fighting Rablut? Confronting Gervasio? The Royal Academy sees plenty of action in this volume.

Readers will spend a bit of time running around, searching for and identifying the right villain to take down, but the haggard nature of these nighttime raids ultimately resolves with an enormous, multi-stage fight scene. Rablut is strong, but he's a fanatic. Gervasio, on the other hand, radiates power and authority. The author is surprisingly effective at crafting an influential villain despite the guy almost never appearing on the page until now. To a point, other characters' respect and reverence for Gervasio are what make him so successfully intimidating (e.g., Ferdinand steps up to fight him, but he's very cautious.).

The Battle for the Auditorium is a blast to read. Rozemyne and Ferdinand's ranks are outmatched, but nobody even entertains giving up. Numerous characters shine throughout: Angelica, Hartmut, Leonore, Clarissa. Everyone has a part to play. Even, to one's surprise, Prince Anastasius, who steps up in a major way. The oft-annoyed young man may appear ambitionless in the broader narrative, when it comes to owning power in Yurgenschmidt, it remains clear that without Anastasius' assistance, all would have been lost.

ASCENDANCE OF A BOOKWORM v31 does a fine job of filling in what few remaining gaps readers have concerning the true role of the Adalgisa Villa, the historical relationship between Lanzenave and Yurgenschmidt, the perils of religious fundamentalism within a culture with a dead or decaying appreciation for its gods, and the illusory nature of power sharing among increasingly deceptive collaborators. For example, Rozemyne draws a fine line between Gervasio's sly ambitions and the crude (cruel) actions he wields to achieve said ambitions (e.g., sunder the royal order and engender equality, but using dishonesty, violence, and arrogance to do so); Ferdinand, quite clearly, does not draw such a distinction. Whose perspective will win out?

One would be wise to underline Ferdinand's frequently vocalized distaste for poor governance (e.g., King Trauerqual's raw hesitancy, aub Dunkelfelger's blind determination, Lord Gervasio's highly trained arrogance). To what are readers meant to contrast the violent, reckless inclinations that have overtaken the main stage? An extended conversation with Erwaermen (god-attendant in the Garden of Beginnings) and a chance encounter with Mestionora (the Goddess of Wisdom) leaves a great many characters asking, rather seriously, Is anyone worthy of ruling this country?

Readers can probably guess. Ferdinand definitely has a scheme or two in motion. But nobody will know for sure until the novel series reaches its conclusion. ASCENDANCE OF A BOOKWORM v31 is loaded with action and would certainly have benefitted from its originally publisher having relaxed on its standards for page count. This is the type of novel that could have been 20% longer and not lost any of its pacing or drama. Regardless, Rozemyne's telltale flubs ("Gyaaaaaah! I messed up! Someone, save me!" page 145) and accidental bouts of genius (Ferdinand: "Rozemyne's absurd actions had worked in my favor," page 308) always keep readers in the right headspace, no matter the danger at hand.

It’s official only 2 books left. I really want to know how this conversation is going to go with the goals but alas I have to wait till July.

When I first started reading I did some math based on the chapters that were release of the web novel and I’m glad I was right somewhat. I guessed between 34 and 36 books.

Honestly I’ve been chanting war, war, war for about 3 books and boy was I looking forward to it. Sadly the first 2 battles fell kind of flat for me but this last one in this book was very interesting. Like how could the knight commander trick a child and not only that the child is basically stuck with the same wand and can never change it when his power grows.

Along with this in the battle or just to get to battle there were some negotiations along with some trickery and some shocking revolutions about Ferdinand’s actual personality. I’m just glad he can now show his true self even to the point of loosing control of his mana. I loved watching the interactions between rosemyn and Ferdinand during the battle.

At about the half way mark of the series there were some people who read how the book was to continue and end using confusing online translations and said the were mad about the ending but now that I see how the relationship between the two have gone I’m okay with it if they do end up that way though I didn’t read it myself.

Also please read the last chapter after the epilogue it gives lots of details about the background as to why the high bishop did what he did sigh “Immanuel”.

From what I heard the author change the ending a bit so we shall shall see how it goes

Take it how you will

And the battle finally wraps up!

The battle may be done byt there is still so much to do! Ferdinand is extremely busy and Rozemyne is, well... divine.

We finally get a glimpse of the gods through Mestionora. This volume is especially tense, what with Ferdinand and Rozemyne facing Gervasio. We find out later in the short stories just how overpowered Gervasio is—in terms of mana, at least. To think THE Ferdinand is overpowered like that... You can only think how plentiful of mana Gervasio is.

We slowly get to see Ferdinand's true personality and his thoughts. While Rozemyne is... Well... Rozemyne haha The goddess descent and its side-effects on Rozemyne is quite worrying and I can't wait to read more on that.

Some notable characters I want to point out are Anastasius and Magdalena. I'm so glad they didn't end up to be disappointing like the rest of their family members lol

Anyway, I can't wait to read the next part so on to the next!

The excitement never ends

I’m so excited about this… I can’t wait for July when I get to read the last and final conclusion. Seriously this author is amazing, the depth of our characters and the plot lines. I love the fact that she layers the story by telling it from different perspectives a different different characters so you get to get the flavor of of their personality through events that happen and you also could find out what happened from their perspective and more about what happened and that whole event. I can read these over and over again. Great novels, great job.

This volume is a lot of set up for the next. The "Lord of Evil" gets to shine as the great schemer and tactician that he is. He'll fight dirty if it means winning and protecting the ones he cares about the most. He has a clear goal, and he is putting everything towards insuring he achieves it. Meanwhile, our erstwhile heroine manages to pull off some interesting feats - dumbfounding those around her who aren't used to dealing with her unique approaches. Just being her usual self. And Ferdinand makes certain to use her abilities to help achieve his own ends which include protecting her.

No in-depth review this time around because I finished this book right before my life got super busy/chaotic, and now it's been too long...

But I loved this book! It was great, like always, and I loved seeing the next stage in this long fight. It did surprise me just how far things got with the villain, but there's also some amount of sympathy there, which I wasn't expecting to feel after all the deaths that have happened.

It's quite interesting how everything is turning out, and I'm eager for more!

As amazing as always really. Never a disappointment to read this series, never!

Although I’m still so frustrated with the royal family…it’s like Eren’s 1st ditter match against Dunke, yk. Without Rozemyne, they’d be all fkg dead. The skills and wits of their enemies were out of their league. Lanze should’ve won and Yurgen been utterly crushed.
So maybe princess Anastasia could finally shove it with the haughtiness? I want his face on the floor in a dogeza next.

Seriously what more could a girl ask for (well, a Ferdinand pov of the possession scene if I’m being greedy) BUT SERIOUSLY?! so good!!! So many moving parts with the volume and the slow burn is slow burnin’! I feel kinda nostalgic reading this volume cus it really does seem suddenly like the end is in sight. I guess I’ll just have to re-read the whole series when it does officially finish.

so very intense. ferdinand living up to his epithet: lord of evil and you love to see it.
for being the volume where rozemyne literally becomes the divine avatar of a goddess, we sure didn't see enough of her divinity from the perspective of other characters. i hope that's something we get from the next volume.

Such a good read

From the start of this book I was left gripping my seat and biting my nails. The twists and turns and silly antics even in battle made me chuckle and shink back. I can only say I wish the next book were out and I didn't have to wait so long. Still a definitive recommendation for anyone 13+ . Such a great tale of heroes and villains.

Amazing

The battle to become the new Zent is amazing. To think the gods would interfere to save the country... Still baffles me.I understand why they would prefer Gervasio to be the new king but Rozemyne and Ferdinand. I still can't believe how much tenacity Ferdinand has to save his country and not wanting to become king. I hope they crown a good king.

The battles continue - for control of the Royal Academy, for Zent, for control of the whole country. Somehow the characters hold to their own personalities. Could Detlinde be any more oblivious, or stupid? Could Rozemyne continue to be so innocently naive and surprised by how blood thirsty the whole kingdom is? What is up with Ferdinand and his anger issues?

Nice book. Here we have Mayn in her most powerful and Ferdinand facing some ghosts from his past. I never have enough of Ferdinand. My heart melted when I saw him teaming up with Mayn again. This is what I want forever and always.

The chaos in this volume was literally god(dess)-tier! While the first few chapters were a little slow, once the main battle got started the going got good. I'm super excited to read the last two books in the series and see how everything shakes out. 5 stars.

We've saved Ferdinand and Ahrensbach, we've saved Ehrenfest. Now it's time to save the Sovereignty! Detlinde, when they find you...and Raublat. The dominos are falling, huzzah! Also, the gods are kinda awful, actually? Time to be the avatar of a goddess, I guess!

Very exciting chapter

I love this series but Rozemyne was disappointing on this book, so useless 😞. She was sooo airhead, on the middle of a battle she was saying useless things.

Whew, What a Ride

The Zent candidates have a meeting. Rosemyne goes to paradise, for a bit. And another reason why you never screw over Ferdinand.

Lots of conclusions in this volume. Ferdinand once again proving that he is the real MVP and Myne is swept along by events as usual.

Great

This book was great. I blazed through the pages with all the force of a Dunkelflegerian knight. I cannot wait for the next one.
