Stolen from Earth, I was sent to a distant planet to become the bride of a big blue alien. Do I dare let this gruff guy inside my heart?
With my boss out to kill me, I run, only to be abducted by robocops. They knock me out and the next thing I know, a tiny pod I’m riding in crashes into a purple lake and a loincloth-wearing alien with lots of muscles, tusks, and a sardonic smile rescues me. Xax takes me home to his clan and announces I’m his new mate. There goes my dream of opening a tea shop in a cute little coastal Earth town.
But between building me a tea shop and protecting me from every scary thing that comes near, I’m finding Xax hard to resist.
Our plant god has gifted me with a mate, and I’m going to do all I can to satisfy her in every way possible. I’ll pluck leaves in the forest to make tea. I’ll call vines to construct a structure to house her new business. And I’ll happily kiss her toes.
Can I convince Amanda to remain on Zuldrux as my bride?
Treasured by the Alien Rogue is Book 2 in the Brides of the Zuldrux Warriors Series. Expect humor, size difference, a devoted alien warrior who’d die to protect his fated mate, steamy romance, and an alien world you’ll want to live in.
AVA ROSS fell for men with unusual features when she first watched Star Wars, where alien creatures have gone mainstream. She lives in New England with her husband (who is sadly not an alien, though he is still cute in his own way), her kids, and assorted pets, including a yorkie pup and three cats.
The following ratings are out of 5: Romance: 🖤💙❤️ Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥 Chemistry: 🧪🧪🧪 Story/Plot: 📕📗 World building: 🌏🌍🌎 Character development: 🙁😋🥰 Narration: 🎙🎙 Narration Type: Dual Narration
🧡 The Heroine – Amanda
In a future Earth setting, Amanda works as a bookkeeper for a corrupt businessman. Her discovery of financial deception—two sets of books, one rigged—leads her to alert the FBI. She plans her escape, only to be abducted by futuristic law enforcement…or so she thinks. In a twist that escalates quickly, she’s seized by aliens and launched in a crystal escape pod toward a foreign planet. The setup is high-stakes, but the logic of her sudden interstellar exile feels arbitrary, lacking narrative weight.
---
💪 The Hero – Xax
Xax, a warrior from the planet Zuldrux, brings a survivalist edge and clan loyalty into the mix. His introduction—diving into a lake teeming with eel-creatures to retrieve a mysterious object—is evocative and sets up a connection to a previous discovery: magical translation stones. His immediate claim that Amanda is his fated mate aligns with genre norms but sacrifices tension and emotional buildup for instant chemistry.
---
🍷 The Storyline
Amanda’s Earthbound dreams of opening a cozy breakfast-and-lunch tea shop offer a relatable counterpoint to the alien drama. Her conflicting desires—attraction to Xax versus longing for Earth—create friction, though the narrative never fully interrogates this tension. Xax’s protective instincts and clan-based backstory add emotional texture, particularly when rival Tribon emerges, setting off a classic “mate rivalry” arc. Their conflict provides the story’s most dynamic interpersonal stakes.
---
🔎 Highlights
• Tribon’s interest in Amanda forces Xax to assert his feelings, adding dimension to their bond beyond the overused “insta-mate” premise. • Xax’s backstory as an orphan raised by a clan elder injects emotional nuance that feels earned.
---
⚠️ What Fell Flat
• The fated-mate trope is overplayed, especially when paired with a heroine who resists the connection for an extended period. It stifles narrative momentum. • Amanda’s repeated insistence on returning to Earth feels detached from the emotional journey she’s undergoing; her resistance lacks evolution and introspection. • The plot leans heavily on familiar alien romance conventions without subverting or enriching them, leading to a predictable and somewhat stagnant arc. • Given Ava Ross’s reputation for imaginative twists, this entry felt surprisingly conventional—an underwhelming installment compared to her previous work.
---
🎧 Performance Matters
The dual narration structure offered alternating perspectives, which enhanced immersion but stumbled in execution.
• Alexandra Cohler brought energy and clarity to Amanda’s voice, yet at times veered into overacting, particularly in emotional or romantic scenes, which disrupted narrative believability. • Ross Pendleton delivered Xax’s chapters with warmth and control, though his softer vocal tone undercut moments that demanded more gravitas. The intimate scenes struggled to convey intensity.
It gives me cozy vibes. Nothing exciting happening. It's the usual alien romance without a lot of plot. It's not a bad read, but it's also not really something that stands out.

Love this books I like the setting of the alien world and the alien men to win the earth women that are took there and then little animals they adopted. nd the alien gods that help them. Wish they were real and they took care of cleaning and fixing you home .
𝐑𝐄𝐕𝐈𝐄𝐖/𝐓𝐇𝐎𝐔𝐆𝐇𝐓𝐒: Soo... this was a bit of a letdown. I would say it's worth reading as part of the series and has a really good "first time" scene between the two MCs. I had to go with 3 stars for my rating with this one. 3 stars, for me, isn't bad, but it's just not the best. And this didn't live up to Ava's work I've read to date. I've read almost all of her series minus a few. (Planning to post reviews soon.) And this did feel like an Ava Ross story, yet not executed very well. I did not like the FMC Amanda for a majority of the book, the beginning felt rushed and the interactions between these two alien species didn't feel natural or realistic almost at all. And that's including the leeway given as it is a fictional alien romance. But I just couldn't get into it easily because of these details. The last several chapters flowed much better and I finally didn't find myself being overly annoyed at the FMC every turn. Unfortunately, it was all in the last part of the story. Overall it's not the worst, but it was a hard one for me to push through. I'm still super excited for the rest, especially Davon! This hasn't thrown me off the series of Ava's writing at all and I can't wait to read the next.
💙 “I’ve waited a lifetime for you.” ~~~ Amanda is so wonderful! She’s kind, compassionate and caring. Even more, she’s fierce, independent and won’t let anyone but herself make the choices for her future. And, even when she’s put in challenging situations, Amanda shows so much courage and strength to overcome all the hardships thrown her way. She dreams of opening a cozy tea shop, but fate has quite the plans for her. Amanda is an amazing woman and I loved her so, so much!
Xax is the second to the traedor of the Ulistar Clan, the clan with a god of plants watching over them. He’s one strong, brave, resourceful and fiercely protective warrior. Even more, he’s incredibly thoughtful, considerate, optimistic and understanding. And he’s absolutely charming and irresistible. Xax is a gorgeous cinnamon roll of an alien and I adored everything about him!
I absolutely loved everything that happened between Amanda and Xax! Amanda is in a less than ideal situation, when she’s taken by robocops and wakes up on her way down to an unknown planet. And imagine Xax’s surprise when he rescues a woman, and by the sign of the gods, she turns out to be his mate. I loved those two together! Their banters were a delight to read and I loved every moment they spent together. Even more, I absolutely adored Xax for all the ways he took care of Amanda, not only by protecting and providing for her, but also doing everything in his power to make her dreams come true. Honestly, Xax is the sweetest and he was so, so incredibly amazing that he slowly tore the walls around his fiercely independent human’s heart and showed her, time and time again, that he’s the one and only male for her. And when they couldn’t resist the undeniable attraction, the passionate moments they shared were so hot! Amanda and Xax were truly perfect for each other and, although they had to go through some challenges, they more than deserved to find happiness and love together!
Overall, the story is another spectacular addition to the series! It’s filled with adventure, suspense, action, humor, romance, drama, twists, passion and fantastic characters.
I really enjoyed reading this alien–human, size difference alien romance. It had wonderful mix of sweet, spicy, humor, and real life issues. The world building was detailed enough to make it believable but also pliable enough to allow details to be fleshed out in later books. Xax is an alien who controls plants on the planet Zuldrux. His clan is small and because a disease decimated his people, they need more mates. Amanda is a human woman who had plans to open a tea shop on earth. She is kidnapped and drugged by one of earth’s robocops. When she wakes up, she is in a crystal chamber and being hurtled through space, ultimately landing in a lake on Zuldrux. After Xax saves her from the lake creatures and a plant explodes to life in front of him, he believes his God sent Amanda as his true mate. To get to their HEA Xax just has a convince Amanda to fall in love with and choose him as her mate. Despite how they meet, this is not a dubcon or noncon situation. Xax and Amanda’s relationship develops organically without forced intimacy as they spend time together including working on her dream of a tea shop. The book was well written and included characters with depth, interesting world building and an engaging storyline. I am looking forward to reading more in the series to learn about the other stolen human mates.
Ava delivers another lighthearted, steamy alien romance with Treasured by the Alien Rogue, but the insta-love trope once again takes center stage, which might not be for everyone. Amanda, a resourceful heroine with dreams of running her own tea shop, finds herself abducted and paired with Xax, a tusked (I always forgot he had those lol) alien warrior who is immediately devoted to her.
Xax’s efforts to win Amanda over—building her a tea shop, gathering herbs, and defending her with all his strength—are sweet and humorous. The world of Zuldrux is richly imagined, with its plant gods (Alexa🤣) and unique alien culture, adding to the story’s charm.
However, the rapid progression of their relationship feels a bit rushed. While the fated-mate trope explains the instant bond, some readers might wish for more time spent developing their connection naturally. That said, fans of the genre who enjoy devoted alien heroes, humorous size-difference moments, with a fast paced story line, and guaranteed HEAs will likely be charmed.
If you’re okay with love at warp speed and a bit of cheesiness (with some praise kink), this book is a fun and easy read!
This is the second book in this series. Brides of the Zuldrux Warriors. Once you get past the first few chapters, Amanda and Xax' story takes off. I love how committed Xax is to prove his worth to Amanda. At first, I found Amanda to be a character that I didn't admire. She is strong and independent but lacking in common sense. When reality kicks in, Amanda realizes she has found a diamond in the rough. Her acceptance to her new fate is inspiring. Unfortunately, life throws them many curve balls and challenges. Through thick and thin, their love prevails.
The world building and the additional plug ins of books to read gave me a chuckle. The naming of their God was the icing on the cake. Now we just need the perfect cup of tea!
Magical! That is the word that came first to my mind as I read this wonderful story. This is book 2 in the Brides Of The Zuldrux Warriors and I loved every second of it! It was everything I want in an Alien romance...action, a little adventure and a whole lot of love. Whatever the characters Ava Ross writes, Orc's, Fae or Alien, they are filled with humor, compassion and love. They're all wonderful but her alien's feel like coming home. I adore this new series so much and I hope it keeps going for a long long time.
Ava Ross has written another exciting book called Treasured by the Alien Rogue, book 2 of the Brides of the Zuldrux Warriors. Book one introduced the huge blue white haired warriors living on a planet with varied tribes overseen by “gods” that provided varied things for each tribe. The tribe that Xax is part of live in giant mushrooms that provide clothing and furniture mysteriously. Amanda is saved from a pod by Xax who believes the gods have provided her for him, but he must prove his love for her before she agrees to be his mate. Love the new world on this planet!
Ava has created an amazing world of Zuldruxians who are very tall, very blue and have wanted mates for a long time When Amanda's pod crashed in the pond, Xax actually debated if he should risk the lake creatures attackng if he was going to explore. But explore he did and saved Amanda even tho she wasn't very receptive of that gesture. This is a sweet tale of fated mates. I laughed, argued with characters, was angry, sad, laughed more and fell for Xax. You'll understand why when you read this.
This was another cute and steamy addition to the series and I have to say, I love Xax. He's really a strong and considerate character, and the fact that he was more than willing to prove he was the perfect male for Amanda was fun. These two had great banter but it's not all sunshine and roses. She's determined and independent. Actually, she's rather feisty ;) I really had fun following them along their journey, with so many challenges, to a wonderful HEA - and ride all the emotions along the way. Good fun!
I absolutely loved this read! Brides of the Zuldrux Warriors has a stellar beginning and Book Two adds to another dimension to the series. Although this is a series, Ava Ross does not let it go stale but continues to delivers unique and interesting characters. I fell in love with how sweet Xax was. The plot is fast moving and the world building knocks it out of the park! Download and enjoy❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is the second book in the series, Brides of the Zukdrux Warriors, but can be read as a standalone but why do that when you can read the whole series. The story is filled with sweetness, heat, cute banter, and the usual feelings when one finds themselves hurtling through space and dive bombing into a purple lake filled with creatures that don’t want to be your friend:). Great storyline, great characters.
I believe our female main character journeyed to Nirvana. She met a perfect male and lived in a nice dwelling where there is no need to do housework, and every piece of furniture you need is provided. Of course, there is a blip in their happiness, as someone wants what is not their own. I am glad true love won. Also, our main characters had a dry sense of humor which I enjoyed, with their witty answers and bantering.
Treasured By The Alien Rogue is the second book in the Brides of Zuldrux Series. This was a cute entertaining steamy fast paced fated mates alien romance. I can't wait to read the next book in the series to find out what happens to the other kidnapped Earth women who also crash landed on this alien planet.
Treasured by the Alien Rogue by Ava Ross is the second in her Brides of the Zuldrux Warriors series. It is a steamy SciFi romance with a HEA, filled with action, adventure and the sweetest hero! Seriously – Xax is wonderful and just what Amanda needed, someone to love her unconditionally. Great story, superb world building, sweet, and steamy!
This book was boring to say the least. The story line was vague had no direction. I am not a fan of mysteries and I also don't like stories without a completed ending. At this point I think that the rest of the series will not be any better so I'm moving to another author.
So far this series has been extremely entertaining 😃. The idea of being transported to another World and then finding a mate that completely falls in LOVE with you is Awesome 😀. Learning new cultures is always good 😉. Thanks again Ava, I'm truly enjoying reading this series and look forward to reading more 🤓.
Amanda is kidnapped by robocops and finds herself in a space pod crashing into a lake on an alien planet. Xax, a big blue sexy alien, rescues Amanda and thinks that the gods have sent him his fated mate. Not so fast there buddy. Steamy alien romance.
I really am enjoying reading this series, they are a cute entertaining, steamy fast paced, fated mates alien romance. I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I received this book as a Free ARC copy to read and I voluntarily leave this review.
I love the way the author mentioned one of her other books in context in mentioning the character who loved to read romance. I loved the way things worked out between the two couples and the compassion they showed to animals.
Amanda has been abducted and shot out of the ship only to land in water. Xax saw the capsule and went to help. Rather than grapple with the ungrateful female he let her go. But then... Enjoy
Treasured by the Alien Rogue is a sweet romance between Xax and Amanda. The book makes some pertinent points about choice, attraction, and kindness. Plus, LOL, each of us needs a XAX!
This is a lighthearted read… sweet story. The world created is interesting and easy to picture. Don’t expect a gripping story but it is truly a nice breath of fresh air.
Xax saves Amanda when her pod crashes into the water. He knows the Gods sent her for him. All he has to do is convince her. Really nice story and ending.
Ave Ross is another author that I've become very attached to. Reading her books is an enjoyable experience. She has characters and events that make everything so realistic.
