The beautiful cover of Book 3 of the Blue Ridge series will attract many readers to the story behind it. It continues the story of the three courageous women who have been unknowingly, but simultaneously, married to a convicted criminal. Amanda, Erica and Wendy prepare for, and celebrate, the completion of the renovation and opening of their Hilltop Inn as a desirable vacation destination, assisted by their cantankerous and demanding neighbour and chef, Millie, who is also instrumental in defusing a potential threat from guests with her memories. The youngest of the trio, Wendy, must not only deal with her pregnancy, but her conflicted feelings of abandonment left over after a traumatic childhood. Despite the intervention of her partners, she believes that their attorney, Chris, is ashamed of being seen in public with her, thus endorsing her insecurities. I doubted the relevance of the title throughout the book, particularly as Amanda’s daughter, Morgan’s wedding was quite an insignificant aspect of the story. The author, who sent me a review copy of this novel, keeps the surprise for the final chapters.
I couldn’t wait for this third book in the Blue Ridge Inn series to come out. The Wedding had all the things I hoped for. A reprise of the characters from the first two books and some surprise twists and turns which are one of the hallmarks of this author. The plot is advanced by moving the characters into the next phase of remodeling the homes they all inherited. Some new characters enter the picture and stir up trouble for the three friends. Other characters have an expanded role, and you will love the banter and the unexpected. The author is a master at telling a story that keeps me turning pages and wanting more when I get to that last page. Here’s some good news—I have it on good authority that there will be at least three more books in this series. Cannot wait for the next one. But I’m so glad I got to savor this one while I wait. Highly recommended.
In full disclosure, I received an advance copy of this book with no expectations. The opinions here are my own.
Deciding what your path will be is huge, but then you have to walk it. Amanda, Erica, and Wendy have decided to make lemonade out of lemons and turn the house they got from from their con man husband into a luxury BNB. But bumps in the road appear. Will they be able to run a successful business? Will the property be taken from them by a pop-up heir? Can they deal with their snarky neighbor/new employee Millie? Can they put the past, particularly Gunter) in the past? Would the town accept Wendy as a single mother? Should Erica give love a second shot? Should Wendy and Chris be together? These characters are not only friends in the story, but they are the reader's friends as well. The reader roots for each of them and relates to their emotions. Isn't life done better with friends? Read Pat Nichols' latest in the Blue Ridge Series to accompany your friends on their journey forward.
I read Blizzard At Blue Ridge Inn and loved the story line. In the first book, the characters were deeper and more interesting. As the series progressed, they became more one dimensional. By the time this ended, I didn’t like Amanda at all. She was one of my favorites at first but became moody and almost mean in this book. And there was no explanation for her character change.
Also, the constant referring to each other by their titles when their names, or even a pronoun, would be better, became annoying. “Our CFO…” …their president…” …our cranky chef.” It just got to be too much.
I finally finished this one because the year is up and I needed to make my goal. But I don’t think I’ll finish the series.
The women in this series continue to evolve along with their Hilltop Inn and Spa. Even though they all have strong personalities and sometimes clash, Amanda, Erica, Wendy continue to build their business and re-build their lives. In addition, Amanda and Erica are still influences in their daughters’ lives. And, unfortunately, Gunter is still an unwelcome presence.
The big questions are: Will there be a wedding? Who will be getting married? You definitely need to read to find out!
This is such a fun series. Kudos to Pat Nichols for writing a book about such strong women.
I received an ARC of this book, but this is my own, honest opinion.
Oh, my goodness, all the feels of this book! I love these women and their family. They continue to show how strong and loving they are. Their commitment to each other and their life together is so awesome. Once I started reading, I didn’t want to stop, and I certainly didn’t want the book to end. I am already looking forward to the next book. The characters and the story line in this series are wonderful. You’ll quickly become friends with these folks. I received an ARC of this book, but my opinion is my own.
This is the 3rd book in the Blue Ridge Series that is set in Blue Ridge, GA. The Wedding is the continuing story of how Amanda, Erica and Wendy rebuild their lives after one man deceived them all and brought them to emotional and financial ruin. The women are a great example of how different personalities with different opinions can actually work together when they successfully open a bed and breakfast as business partners. This installment packs a lot of twists and turns and leaves open the door for more of the story to unfold for these women and their families in book 4!
Each book in the Blue Ridge series just gets better and better. I sped through the book to see who was getting married. I was not disappointed. I feel like the owners of Hilltop Inn are my best friends. I even love Millie (maybe I see a little of me in her). I just finish one of Pat's books and I already want the next one. Every one of her series are great, but this is the best.
I loved this book. The drama continues for the ladies, their families and friends, and the inn. The women keep fighting the good fight for the good of everyone including themselves. Watch as they grow and learn even more about themselves.
Pat Nichols' newest womens fiction novel, "The Wedding", doesn't disappoint. In typical Pat Nichols style it is filled with twists and turns. You will have to wait to the end to see which one of the three women take a trip down the aisle. I know you will enjoy it as much as I did.
I received an ARC of this book. I absolutely love this series! I have enjoyed every book. This last one is a really heart-warming ending to the series. I'm going to miss these characters that have become like family. Highly recommend!
What a fabulous book! If you haven’t met the characters, I encourage you to read Books 1 and 2. Because you will love these three inspiring women even more in The Wedding!
This is an awesome story. The characters are loyal, strong and friendly group. Once you start reading you won't want to stop. I can't wait to see what happens next. Enjoy.
This series of books are easy to read and follow the story. I love books that follow characters along a path that is understandable and easy to follow.
Another really sweet love story in the Blue Ridge series. I love the characters and family values and kindness displayed in the book. A delightful book!
A satisfying continuation of the Blue Ridge series, "The Wedding" keeps you guessing about who will actually get married. I loved that the author kicked Gunter's character up a notch to become a masterful villain. And my heart warmed with the blending of the new families. Can't wait for Book 4!
